If you're not in a hurry- and I can think of no reason you should be if you enjoy the taste of alcohol and don't hate sitting directly beside freshwater lakes (when weather permits) or hunkering down in log cabins (when it doesn't)- this place is ace on most counts. "Don't come here if you have arachnophobia," said the 12-year-old boy who sat by the spider-friendly rail by the lake. This 12-year-old boy, who is not particularly arachnophobic, could think of no other negatives. In fact this was the ONE place during a month-long visit to Michigan that our party of four- two adults and two "rascals"- agreed had good food on both visits. The calzones and fish tacos were particular favorites. My own assessment is under the influence of Michiganese beers- including the Bells Two Hearted, Keeweenaw Widowmaker, and Cheboygan Blood Orange- but that's how beer works, you see? And to be sure, the service was slow on both visits. But that just meant all the more time to enjoy the place, where it's easy to get a lakeside seat on any weeknight or weekends before 4/5.

Okay...great pizza and awesome cheese bread! I would give more stars if mistakes hadn't been made and they had more staff. Don't get me wrong, ours was great until they threw a party of 20+ at her. Then, our pizza was wrong, we had to ask twice for everything...like plates for our food? But...pretty decent food.

Management is rude. Food is not worth the hassle of getting every single order wrong and one completely missing.

It was wrong. They got my order wrong, which is fine, it happens... but he refused to let me send it back and just get a refund. He seemed to have an attitude about it, appalled that I would even ask such a thing. It's not like I had eaten most of it and then requested a refund. It was visibly wrong the moment it arrived. He said, again with attitude, "Well, we made it and you payed for it, so..." Aren't such payments supposed to be on a little bit of a good faith system? So fine, whatever, he walked away even as I was beginning to explain that the way I ordered was for medical reasons, but I could see I wasn't going to achieve anything by talking more. We attempted to eat, and... it was okay. Nothing notable, but not gross either. As we ate, an elderly server/waitress comes over and starts lecturing us, telling us that they dont serve pizza there. Which we just got and we're eating. After a few moments, she finally made it clear that we weren't allowed to EAT the pizza there. The pizza that was on their menu. No signs proclaiming this esoteric rule, but between her words and condescending tone, we were starting to get rather upset now, so we just picked up and left. Terrible place. Don't give them your business. The small store in front, attached to them, was fine. I dont know if it is the same owners or they share the building or what, but we had no problems with the shop in front.

Every one we ordered was yummy. I chose a build your own pizza, it was so good. The rest of the table went with sandwiches, chicken, appetizers, & soup- all were happy with their choices. The kids ordered up a variety of mocktails. They loved them. There is a little ice cream shack out back with hand dipped cones. The view is amazing of Grand Lake. The ambiance is cozy & modern with an up north feel. The staff was super friendly. We will be back!

We were greeted as soon as we walked in, seated and given menus likity split. Nice craft beer and cocktails menus, a huge plus. But food was the standout for us. Though it is not a big menu, the offering all looked delicious. On a very cold day, we started with coffee, which was very good, no weak brown crayon swirled stuff. Ordered both the Fried Dill Pickles and the Dill Pickle Fried Cheese Curds appetizers. Both were yummy, but those Fried Dill Pickle Spears were our favs, with a little spicy kick, right at our heat tolerance limit. Next we had the Golabki loaf, which was a deconstructed stuffed cabbage. Very good as well. We ordered the kielbasa dip to go, since it seems like a must try, but haven't had it yet. Will update after we dig in later today. Outstanding service from the most intuitive server ever made our visit a true five star event. Looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

We worried that we might be under dressed, casually in jeans and tanks. Yelp said this place was great. It was. We dined with 3 kids who all jammed out on the kids meals, spaghetti with homemade noodles, hand breaded chicken tenders and pizza that was SO good. Adults had salmon x2, scallop risotto, eggplant Parm and the almond crusted halibut. Everything was amazing, we were passing forks around like covid never happened. The clam chowder, Devine. I am so impressed. First time in , likely won't be in the area without stopping back. Our service was PHENOMENAL and our waitress knew the menu, made great recommendations and was amazing. The bread was soaked in what I assume was maybe garlic butter but it tasted like it was from a popcorn machine. Everyone ordered something different and the consensus was everything was sub par except for the lasagna. Give it a chance if you're in the mood for pasta, I suppose.
