Yummy Mexican food. Everything we ate was good. Tacos, mole and enchiladas. Tender mole chicken with slightly sweet mole sauce. Large pastry selection section in the restaurant too! Came in on a Saturday, packed tight, you'll be sharing a table with others, get cozy!

i have been coming to sanchez for years, the service and the food have been incredible all these years. The staff here truly cares about their customers and about the quality of their food. I always leave full and happy.

Pastries--sadly, these are not GF. But they sure look good!

The employees were super friendly and I even found some great Gluten Free/Dairy free food! I had three tacos and my daughter had the shrimp soup. After not seeing sour cream or cheese on it, I asked if her soup was GF/DF. It was! The flavor was so good! My husband and son ordered a wet burrito and my husband said it was the best Mexican restaurant food he's had since we lived up in Washington. The warm chips and salsa were delicious as well! Now they are picking out their pastries--there are a lot to choose from!

I've always driven by this place, but never tried it. Wish I tried it sooner because the food was amazing! Portion size was large, great quality, and also had a giant container of chili oil set on each table. The chili really hit the spot! Spicy and crispy They also have a large variety of baked Mexican goods. I got myself some pudding and delicious Flan The restaurant was packed and I took that as a good sign. It was very warm and comfortable with authentic vibes inside. Everyone here was so kind and I would love to come back here more regularly.

Carnitas combination plate. Enough for three people.

As is a commonality with all restaurants of different ethnicities, if the people from that culture are eating there, it's reasonably a good sign. That is true with Sanchez Taqueria in Tigard. This past Sunday in the early afternoon, two of us ventured over to a packed parking lot and a fairly full restaurant. Yes, on a Sunday. It was highly unexpected, but I guess that meant the food must be good or lots of people were picking up pan dulce. They do advertise their panadaria right outside. A line to get in, an asada torta for me and an asada burrito for my buddy and we're sitting down and looking over at eight cases full of Mexican pastries with an endless supply of carts coming out of the back to replenish even more of the sweet delicacies. In all of my years eating Mexican food and/ or going to places with Mexican bakeries, I had never seen such an overturn of desserts. Crazy. It also meant that prior to leaving, we would be purchasing some. It's safe to assume that the bread is made in-house and the torta was better than most I've had. The meat was tasty and it wasn't dry. Lots of good seasoning. The red and green hot sauces on the tables are good, but also not too hot, for those that aren't partial to spicy, but there is a chili oil on the table that solved that for the rest of us. It made me sweat quite fast and provided one heck of a zing. The pastries? I got a couple of churros, a concha, flan and a pastry with chocolate. The churros and the chocolate dessert were damn good. The flan, not as great with a little bit much of a alcohol flavor towards the bottom of it, and the concha was as good as any other concha I've ever had. And no, they were not all consumed at once or even not the same day. Shoot, I'd have to be rolled off the couch if I did something like that. All I know, is that in the dozens of times passing by Sanchez Taqueria and only just going in, I have to kick myself and will be back a lot quicker to try more items off their menu. And more desserts. Enjoy. Support local PDX (and Tigard).

The food here is delicious, although they always overcharge me. We order the same exact thing every time and the prices are entirely different which makes no sense. Also, they told me they "can't" take card tips which makes absolutely no sense bc I have tipped here on card before. Also what restaurant doesn't take card tips... I think it's really shady they charge different prices each time for the same order.... I would tip if given the option again bc I have tipped on card here before so not sure why they're saying they don't take that lol. I love this restaurant but your staff shouldn't be overcharging people. It's super weird and puts a bad taste in my mouth spending money here.

One of my coworkers recommended this place. As Mexican food enthusiasts, we figured we should check it out. When we arrived, there were many customers during lunchtime. The staff was busy taking orders and delivering food to tables. Some customers dined in while others went to the pastry cabinet to get some bakery items to go. Most reviews mentioned their burritos, so that's what we ordered. I got a burrito con lengua, and my fiance ordered a burrito con carne asada. When the food arrived, the server also brought green and red salsas in mustard and ketchup-like squeeze bottles which were indeed delicious. Our reviews of the burritos are mixed. I enjoyed my lengua burrito. It was big, soft and full of beans, rice, and shredded cabbage. It reminded me of the burritos that I had when I lived in Eugene during my college years. The lengua was tender and tasty, I kept eating more even though I was already full. My fiance was not a big fan of his burrito because it had too much "filler." He prefers "San Diego-style" Carne Asada or California burritos where the meat/cheese/pico de gallo or french fries are not drowned out by beans, rice, and cabbage. He said he would prefer the other fillings on the side, or not at all. As for the bakery goods, we enjoyed the churro, concha bread, and the chocolate ganache-covered mini custard cake. They were soft and delicious, we would highly recommend them. However, we were not a big fan of the flan. It tasted more like jello and lacked the creamy texture we were expecting. Overall, I would come back again for more lengua dishes and get myself more churros next time!

    Pastor Burrito

Their salsas are FIRE! Some of the most refreshing and flavorful salsas I've had. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Big plus that they all pack a solid punch as well. Now the food was also some of the more OG Mexican tacos, burritos, enchiladas in the area. I got the Pastor Burrito and it's heavenly filling, a total comfort item. The tortilla was soft but slightly grilled. The inside was packed with tasty rice, beans, and succulent pastor -- there was no skimping on the inside. In fact, the burrito easily cleared the forearm test (being bigger than my forearm). I ate half and saved the rest for another meal. I also like that the burrito was not salty like at some places. Got to also try their Chips and Salsa which, again, were very fresh. Loved that their chips came out warm and not at all oily. Their Flautas were nice and crispy too and filled with tasty carnitas. They're out of lengua when I was there so that on its own warrant another visit! The inside is simple and homey. You order, pay, and then take a seat. They also sell pastries and treats so this could also be a good breakfast spot. Prices are great as well. I'll be back!

    Chorizo breakfast burrito
    Luis Q.

Overall, the food was good but their Mexican bread was amazing!!! I got their chorizo breakfast burrito for about 13$ but it was a but it was a huge burrito. I would give the burrito a 8/10 but the size carries the rating. I also got their fish tacos and they weren't the best due to the portion of fish compared to the size of the tortilla but they used handmade tortillas. Now, their Mexican bread was so good, I would go back just for that. Their service was good and they are very kind. The ambiance was laid-back and casual.
