Uber eats did it again it struck gold. What a great resto first time hearing about it and we really enjoyed it. Food came pretty quickly a little cold but it's Saturday night I get it. Butter chicken was really good, a little kick to it but not to spicy. The chicken was shredded which was cool I've only had cubes before. Will for sure be ordering with them again.

Ordered in the Beef thali for dinner through Uber Eats. It included 1 meat option, 1 vegetarian, rice, salad and nan. I chose the Beef Nihari & Chanay for approx $12. It arrived promptly, however was packaged poorly. The Nihari is meant to be eaten with Nan, however it had slid over to the rice and there was barely any left in its compartment for me to eat. The taste was average. It was good enough to curb the cravings for the night and alright for the cost of the meal. However I would not be ordering from here again, when there are many great establishments serving better quality food for the same price.

Rice, garlic nan, ginger chicken, and butter chicken.

5 minute walk from Le Crystal Hôtel, bursting with flavor, and put a big smile on my face. If you desire Indian food, you absolutely cannot go wrong. We had the butter chicken with dark meat. Never had it like that before, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't think the chicken could be that tender and juicy. The ginger chicken was made with chicken breast, wonderful ginger accentuated flavor with a slight heat to the dish. Perfectly cooked chicken. These dishes are made for sharing and if your not starving, you could share 1 dish between 2 people. You have to separately order rice or nan. We got 1 order of the rice and 2 orders of the garlic nan. I wish I didn't order rice and just doubled up on the garlic nan. If you like garlic, you will love the garlic nan. They don't hold back with the minced garlic. It is a real hole in the wall, which is where I usually find the best food. Not really that busy, but is was a Sunday night. We were there maybe an hour at the most and noticed the Uber Eats drivers were coming in every couple of minutes for pickup. So have it delivered or eat in-house, you will not be disappointed.

Yummy mixed grill -- petite size. I could finish it.

This unassuming restaurant on Crescent street is a true gem. I have walked by the restaurant all the time and one late night (9:00 pm), it's menu on the outside beckoned me. I'm happy that I finally walked into this restaurant. The staff works hard to provide good customer service to everyone. I ordered the petit mixed grill combo and a glass of mango lassie. The grilled chicken, beef and fish were all good. The nun was soft and generous in size. Everything was good.

The food was good, but the wait time was too long- 1 hour. There were some other customers when we arrived, but there was no other customers at all at the end. After thinking about the reasons we were not served, I figured out that their priority was "food delivery" service. I strongly recommend that you check the anticipated time to be served before you order.

This is the first time we've been to Sana. The neighborhood is pretty dispirited. However, the inside is pretty clean and spacious. We had samosa for starter. Mixed grill and lamb karahi as main courses. The dessert was home made Kulfi, traditional Indian ice cream. I like all the dishes. The samosa came with a sauce which is quite flavorful. The grilled dish offered 3 different meats. The karahi is medium spicy to my taste but probably the most spicy dish there. The Indian spices married with flavor of lamb, the curry is so rich and intense flavored. It goes very well with rice and naan. The frozen dairy dessert Kulfi was a surprise. We both enjoyed it. The prices is inexpensive. Main course varies from 9 to 11$. I will come back for sure.

So delighted that Sana opened a second branch - in downtown Montreal itself. Yes it is a little off the beaten-path but hey, still way better than making the trip up to Jarry. The husband and I are big fans of the restaurant. From the many Indian Pakistani restaurants in Montreal, this has to be one of our favourites due to the food being very authentic and of good quality. Despite being a basement restaurant, it is neat and cosy with a nicer décor and ambiance than the original on Jarry. Though it was a busy Friday night when we went, the staff were all very polite and attentive. They seemed to be getting an endless amount of UberEats & JustEat orders - great for those cold winter nights. We have tried most items from the menu but our favourites will always be the Channa Samosa (delicious!) for starters and Nihari, Haleem or Lamb Karahi. Nothing better than a good old spicy curry to warm you up in freezing temperatures and to end it all with a hot cup of chai (Indian tea with spices). Prices are very reasonable and they even offer Student Discount. Highly recommend :)

It doesn't look like much from the outside, so what a surprise! Their lamb thali was very well made, simple and delicious. You get to choose from one of their vegetables dishes: mixes veggies, spinach, chickpeas, etc.

After some time with the menu, and pitchers of water having been delivered to the table, the server came to take our orders, food and drinks together. The appetizers were delivered before most of the drinks, with one guest not receiving their appetizer until the mains were being delivered. The server had a bit of a hard time remembering who had what, but with some direction, everything was delivered eventually. The food was nice. We had the Lahori fried fish, nicely spiced, fish cooked really well. My partner and I shared the Combo 2 with white meat chicken kahari, beef kebab, and garlic naan. The chicken was cooked very well. The curry paste was tasty. The kahari was served in a large metal bowl, very nice touch. I really enjoyed the kebab as well. The naan was factory made, not fresh. That was a bit disappointing. My fraise rose was delicious. My partner had a mango lassi and said it was acceptable but a bit too thick. The meal had a good spice level throughout. The portions are generous and very filling. Good value for money, however the menu does not make it clear that most dishes seem to be intended for sharing. At the end of the meal, it took some time for dessert to come out (included with the meal), and it seems only some people were asked if they wanted tea or coffee, our side of the table was not. Towards the end, the server simply stood at the other end of the table and asked, generally, if anyone wants anything else. The service might have been better on a busier day, but at 1pm on a Sunday, it was lacking a bit, and we felt a little bit like an inconvenience, even though we were the only people there. We would go back, just maybe for an evening date.

The interior is clean…read moreand minimal with a lovely raised intimate cushion-seating area on the side (great for groups). We ordered the Samosa Chaat to share as starters which was plenty and probably the best we have had in Montreal. For our mains, we had the Lamb Karahi (the most popular dish as mentioned by the waitress) and Chicken Jalfrezi. The chicken jalfrezi was delicious and a good portion. However, having tried many a Lamb Karahi, I was not impressed with the quality of the meat and the taste. The pieces of lamb were large and mainly fat/bones - not what you would expect of a traditional lamb karahi. On the plus side, the Naan bread was perfect and always came fresh and hot so that was great. Prices are reasonable and the location is quite convenient (there is some parking directly in front of the restaurant). Overall, good experience and will most probably return but will not be ordering the Lamb Karahi this time.

We ordered 1/2 Kg Mutton Karahi, 1/2 Kg Chicken Karahi, Palak Paneer, Chicken Seekh Kebab, Fish Pakoras and Chai. Oddly enough for something that is their most popular item, the Mutton Karahi was average. It was mostly bones and almost no meat, definitely not half a kg and tasted alright. The Palak Paneer and Chicken Seekh Kebab were 100% reheated and tasted like food that had gone bad. The Chicken Karahi was excellent. Tasted fresh, flavourful and authentic. Fish pakoras were good and fresh. Tea was authentic Chai. The server was chirpy and very helpful. She was interactive and her excitement was contagious. Part of the reason this rating is three stars and not two is because of her! The restaurant was clean and comfortable. However for a place where the food is so Hit or Miss, I would not recommend it to others.

This will be my 2nd outing to this restaurant. I was really excited for my family to try the food…read moresince I enjoyed every single dish thoroughly the last time. Unfortunately, this time I was disappointed. I got my family too hyped up about the food. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, but the service was super slow. Our orders were taken by two different waiters. So it was annoying, but both them were amiable, so I cannot be super angry at them. We ordered almost a buffet on our table. Mango lassi, Pakota (Pakistani cream soda(too sweet)), Chana Masala (chickpeas curry), mutter paneer (peas/cheese), butter chicken, Biryani Rice, grilled tilapia, and naan bread. The only meals that were good, were grilled tilapia and Chana Masala. Butter chicken was cold, so we asked them to warm it again. Mutter paneer were over cooked, tasted super bland; which we notified and we just got a sorry. Naans were super dry. In the end, what made us happy was Masala Chai with nice warm gulab jamun. In the end, when we asked for our bill; our waiter kept telling us that our bill isn't ready(language barrier?, how can you not make bill ready); we waited for our bill about 20 minutes. I felt leaving the place right way. My first experience was so good, but my second experience is completely the opposite, and I don't think I want to come back for a third experience.
