I'm usually not a fan of touristy places to eat but this place is amazing!! Grab and go. I was there on a weekday and somewhat early so there was a short wait - maybe 3 minutes. Expect a line if you come during peak times. I tried: tomato and mozzarella), Prosciutto e Mozzarella, Salame Piccante e Mozzarella. ALL were really good. If you go to Milan, you should stop here. It is located just behind the Galleria (world's oldest…read moreshopping mall) and Il Duomo (the marble cathedral). Yes, it is a little bit "touristy", but lots of fun. They have savory (such as prosciutto and cheese) and sweet (chocolate). I have been several times and it is not unusual for the line to be down the block. If so, divide and conquer: One person find a place to sit (steps in front of the cathedral?) while the other goes to order and bring back the goodies.

The restaurant itself is pretty clean, and on the wall you can see autographs of celebrities -- even a famous soccer player (I think the Brazilian star Ronaldo?). You can definitely tell this place is well-known. That said, I do find it a bit pricey. One panini costs about 15 euros, and we asked the chef to cut it in half so the two of us could share. The ingredients definitely seem high quality, but as tourists, our palates might not be refined enough to appreciate all the subtle flavors. To me, it just tasted a bit salty, probably because of the ham (I think it was prosciutto crudo?). Overall, I'd say it's worth a try if you're curious or want to experience a place with a bit of fame, but just know that it's on the pricey side.

I was not ready since it was a menu you had to scan and view in your phone. I ordered water and it came within a few minutes but then he never came back to take my food order. I had to stop him and call him over when he was at another table. I ordered the "city" which was a hero sized bread with a slice of chicken breast, bacon and a piece of lettuce. It didn't taste bad but the bread was so toasted that I could barely bite into it. I left about 75% of the sandwich because I only at the middle which was less toasted.
