Found this spot during a random Yelp search and the food was delicious! Those puffed bread thingys ( I can't remember what they are called), to die for. Almost like a beignets but not sweet. So good! We also order steak and the lasagna. Steak cooked perfectly and the lasagna was a bit different than what I'm use to. But still tasty. Customer service was out of this world. We arrived at the train station drained from a day of travel and found this place by chance. Two years later my wife and I still reminisce about our evening partaking in the delights this place has to offer. The food is incredibly good, from meatballs to pastas, the vegetables, even the ending limoncello is divine. The waiter was polite and attentive but the thing that caught our attention was how the whole restaurant seemed to buzz with a symphony of friendly conversation as we ate in unison. The inside of the restaurant has the feel of a modernized tavern and was invitingly punctuated by little paintings, statues, and stained wood. When you walk into the doors of this amazing restaurant, you are treated like family. There are jars of candy on the table for you to enjoy. The drinks are priced really well and delicious. We had a delicious bottle of red wine with dinner. We started with meatballs which came with donzelle and they were so delicious. The ossobucca fell off the bone and melted in our mouthes. We ended the night with a delicious piece of caramel cheesecake. As we were having our cheesecake, we were brought melonchello and it was so delicious. One of the best meals I have had. Ever. Started with the caprese salad with fried bread and rich and delicious complimentary meatballs. Next we had a creamy ravioli with truffle oil. Wow! If you like rich, cheesy pasta, you must try this. Our main courses were equally as good. The osso busco melts in your mouth and I loved the bone marrow! The steak with mushrooms may have been my favorite, but it was all amazing! And the atmosphere was homey and fun. Big jars of complimentary candy were set on each table to add to the fun. Came here on my first night in Milan... was so impressed with this place. Staff was friendly and helpful even though English isn't there first language. They bring out all different types of candy in jars and rotate them around the tables, something I've never seen at any other restaurant. I had to make them take the peach rings away from me haha. Also brought out fruit and lemon cello between courses to cleanse the pallet, completely on the house! What a touch. I ordered a shrimp pasta, and it was great. I should preface this with I don't like touristy places when I am abroad. Working on country 14 and I have made it my life's mission to walk for a good half hour to get out of the downtown places. That said, this place didn't feel like any of that and hit all the marks. I'm an Italian American and was asked for directions more times than I care to admit in Milan. Do I look like a local? I was certainly treated like one here and man it felt good. Quick service, fresh pasta and the perfect ambiance of it all. My Italian is getting better and better, but let's be honest if you can't speak it just point and say "this" and even when you're out of Milan proper you will be good. People love English, and my English is good... Portions that of what you expect in Italy, and well anywhere other than America. Fact American's are fat, we over eat and covid is killing fat people, the pandemic is obesity, not this flu that's latching on to it. Okay my psa is over, the desserts were out of this world, follow it up with a cappuccino or don't and head down the street to nearest café, we did. I am not surprised by the raving reviews by my fellow Yelpers. This restaurant makes you feel welcome like no other restaurant I went too in Italy. The service was excellent. We made reservations and strolled on ease to this restaurant since it was a few blocks away from Radisson Blu Hotel where we were staying at. We were seated right away and brought over Prosecco and then some fresh bread with olive oil and drenched hot peppers which gave the olive oil more flavor. We were also served their soup of the night which was on the house. It was a pumpkin based soup and was very hearty and flavorful. I wanted to keep my appetite for the food so I only took a bite or two. I ordered the Veal Milanese and my friend ordered the steak. Both portions were huge which is highly unlikely for Italian restaurants. Alongside both entrees was rocket salad and potatoes. You can also sub in pasta if you want to customize your entree which I found to be really accommodating (again, Italian restaurants are very particular so customizing was a nice change from the norm). We were so full by the end of our meal that we did not wanted to order dessert and for good reason also because they bring you nectarines, peanuts, all kinds of colorful candy in jars and plenty of Limencello. We were not rushed and spent quite some time taking in the festive ambiance (it was a full house) and talking. If you need to have a last meal before flying out of Milan, definitely go here. You will leave boozy, happy and with filled tummies. Also, my friend wanted to buy a bottle of wine for her family and the manager spent quite some time going over all the wines they had available and helped her choose the best wine to take back. It was expensive and of coarse not recommended to buy wines from a restaurant but since she was on a time constraint, she was happy to pay the extra amount and get the best bottle to take back. read more

Are at this place twice this week. Once alone, once with my wife. Had several different dishes, all were very good to excellent. They provide a very relaxed atmosphere and lemon cello at the end. Our first night in Italy was fabulous having found L'Immagine on Yelp. The staff were all wonderful with recommending a perfect wine and helping to decide which dinner for each to choose. The winner of the night was the lamb shank. They brought a small meatball appetizer, an after dinner liqueur and their signature candy for fun after dinner sweets. I ordered veal BBQ ribs (don't judge me for eating baby cow.... it was delicious). My meal was so soooooo good. My husband ordered wild boar and noodles. All awesome. After the meal, they brought a "lemonchello" which I probably spelled wrong but whatever. It was free along with a nectarine at the end of the meal. We found L'immagine in our search for traditional Milanesi fare. Key items on my hit list were the pasta, risotto Milanesi, pizza, cottoletta, ossu bucco Milanese and gelato. We were able to hit everything besides the cottoletta, which will be the goal for our next day in Italy. We ended up ordering the beef ravioli with fondue and truffle cream, the beef ravioli with boar ragu and then ossubu a la Milanese. We can definitely check the ossu bucco, risotto, and pasta boxes off our to eat list. The meal starts with fresh bread and sundries tomatoes. They also bring their house meatballs in a red sauce out. The sundries tomatoes are tender and flavorful, very different compared to the hard plastic like tomatoes we get from the jar in the US. The meatballs are also juicy, flavorful and delicious and remind me of a grandma's cooking. Pasta comes first; the beef raviolini with cheese/truffle cream sauce and beef ravioli with boar ragu arrive. The raviolini is in a rich creamy cheese sauce with earthy hints of truffle. There is also a pile of thinly shaved parmesan cheese on the side. Delicious, rich and creamy. The ravioli with boar ragu is next and really hits the spot with a very savory meaty sauce. Again there's a pile of very thinly shaved Parmesan cheese. Next the ossu bucco arrives with risotto. The mean is tender and juicy, sitting in a light tomato based sauce. The risotto is creamy and tender as well, I'll have to work on recreating this dish at home. Our meal ends by being brought a small bottle of lemoncello with two shot glasses, oranges on the stem and a couple jars of candies. We hold off from ordering anything additional from the dessert menu due to being at maximum capacity. This is definitely a great restaurant for getting to taste real Milanese cooking. This place is amazing. We went here on a Friday night around 20.00, and surprisingly we got a table immediately! Staff were very nice and brought us some pre dinner snacks. I ordered a shrimp pasta with black truffles, the pasta was home made and tasted juut great. Some kind of butter sauce, splendid! They accidentally gave my husband the wrong order, so it took some extra time to get his lasagna, but it was no problem. He got some extra fried bread in the meantime. I found this place through yelp after seeing the fantastic reviews and I was not disappointed. we were given a side of meatballs on the house that were amazing. I ordered king prawns with mushroom, asparagus, and potatoes and it was heavenly. The owner was very present and friendly, conversed with all his customers, I don't think I've ever had a better dining experience. My friend got the cheese macaroni as well as the chocolate soufflé both of which were amazing as well. We also shared their baked potato dish that wasn't on the menu but a must!! The restaurant is so unique and provides huge jars of candy as well as fresh oranges (win-win). I literally made a yelp account to review this restaurant because that's how great it was. Just walked back from dinner at L'immagine. It was a busy ( 7:15 pm ) Saturday night, but just before prime time. Without reservations we were seated anyway. Service was excellent, and the main was promptly presented. Our hotel is not in the best of locations, but this nice restaurant really makes up for it. This place was just brought to my attention before we took off from Miami, and after walking around the plaza, I suggested we come back and eat at L'immagine. Looking for a good Italian restaurant which isn't too pricy we found out about this awesome place! Tuesday evening , 10 pm, and it was full of people!!! From this moment on we knew it would get amazing. Luckily we got a table . I would suggest to make a reservation ! We had free bread, dried tomatoes in oil, free meatballs , insalata caprese and fried bread, homemade lasagne and homemade linguini with shrimps , 2 drinks! Take this with a grain of salt in that this is the first restaurant that my girlfriend and I ate at in Milan, but this was the best lasagna we've ever had. Anywhere. Everything we had there was great: the antipasto appetizer, the homemade spaghetti, the chocolate soufflé, the complimentary Prosecco, complimentary candy and peanuts, the cappuccino, and the wine.
