Don't get anything that requires cooking they put your food in the microwave. I saw it happening to our food with my own eyes. Look at my photo. But their eggs and the salami plate was good (only because you can't microwave eggs or salami). Hence, the 3 stars. Go if you like, but not for a real meal. Very aggressive service which included grabbing your plate while asking if you are done with it but without waiting for an answer, hurrying you up while you taste your wine and trying to forcefully pour it in your glass before you change your mind, and assuming your nationality behind your back in Italian. Extremely bad experience. My pasta was cooked properly but arrived cold. The truffles were just ok, I had much better in other places. Also, the place is touristic and made for tourists, It was empty most of the time, and the few tables there were tourists that were caught in the same trap as i was. Sum: 37 euro small dish of cold pasta, 8 euro glass of wine, 3 euro mandatory cubierto. Skip it! There are much better places to eat in Milan. I think you have to be truffle lovers but still need to be prepared to eat a lof dishes with truffles!! Of course, we ordered the tasting menu as usual, but in my honest opinion, don't go with the tasting menu it's not worth it, just pick one or two with different truffles that you'd be able to tell the flavor and not to get sick of it in the end. I like some but not all, some are heavy and some are great, my favorite was the pasta, the beef looked artificially red that didn't bring appetite to me, the dessert required a special taste buds. Perhaps I am just a sucker for truffles, but my family greatly enjoyed our meal here. We even took home some souvenirs in the form of honey. The place is a bit expensive but the food is refined and the tastes are well thought out. Its not the traditional unzip my pants im so full italian style cooking...more of the "i could have eaten three of these", but if you are in Milan and craving some truffle, this is where you should go. My beef tartare rivaled those Ive had in Paris and my wife's shrimp dish was equally superb. A well matched Tuscan wine and our meal was ideal. It was practically a meal by itself. My boyfriend isn't as crazy about truffles as I am so he ordered a burger without adding the truffles. He thought it was terrific. I ordered the tagliolino (home made) with white truffle butter, red cow Parmesan cream, and fresh truffle. I love pasta and I have eaten a lot of pasta in my life but tonight I enjoyed the best pasta I have ever had. It was rich, full of flavor, and just plain wonderful. I didn't think I could eat another bite so we declined dessert. Still, they brought us biscotti with sweet Tuscan wine to dip it in. It was heavenly. We came here for lunch around 130pm - no wait. The name says it all. You walk in and are hit with the smell of truffles. They put truffles on literally everything on the menu. If you love truffles, this is probably a 4 or 5 star place. I like truffles, but am not an enthusiast. I was intrigued by some of the options I didn't get a chance to try (eggs with truffles, tartar with truffles, etc.). Nonetheless, I was happy with our meal but not blown away. I had the beef cheek, which was a nice, upscale take on what I typically consider street food. I wish there was more onion - the beef paired with the little bit of onion on the plate was fantastic. My husband has the warm duck breast. I would say lukewarm (it was cold duck by the time I tried it). He liked it, but he liked my dish better. I thought the duck was a little bland and had a bit of an odd flavor I couldn't put my finger on. Each plate was over 20€ each. I believe the house wine was 10€. The house wine was pretty good. I was beyond pleasantly surprised with the presentation of each dish. The flavors were not to much or to little, just perfect. Fresh pasta and fresh ingredients AND the option to add truffles was perfect for our family since some of us love truffles and some do not. Look forward to returning here again for dinner! What I would do to be in the presence of that homemade pasta with white truffle again!!! I still have dreams about it because it was just that good. As a student and budget traveler, I'm generally pretty picky about how much money I spend on, well, everything. But when I heard about Tartufotto and read so many rave reviews about it, I knew that my love for truffle could not keep me away. When in Italy, right? It's pretty obvious, based on how the menu is written, that you're supposed to order in courses, but no no, I definitely couldn't afford that, so I just took the plunge and ordered one €37 plate of their signature pasta instead. Of course, I wasn't full, but I don't regret a single penny. Are you a truffle fan? Even if you aren't you should go here. If you are, then you absolutely *must* go here. The carpaccio was very good, the octopus was excellent, but the gnocchi ... oh the gnocchi (with pistachio and black truffle slices and shavings). In fact every dish I had (and I shared so as to sample more) had large full black truffle slices. Excellent wine list - I enjoyed a delicious Brunello at a very fair price. And good vibe - decor, music, ambiance. From the second you walk in the smell of truffles is so present it sets the tone for your experience. Omg, this restaurant was excellent. They are so welcoming. We shared the egg antipasti, the truffle pasta and the beef cheek. Everything was sprinkled generously with white truffle. The best thing I ate had no truffle: the braised fennel that came along with the beef. It was scrumptious. I could have easily eaten a plate of that. The beef cheek was super tender. The pasta was super truffly and rich. The egg dish was yummy and perfectly balanced with a cool tomato mousse to counter balance the richness of the egg. My 5 year old ate pasta with red sauce but it was still good. They spontaneously gave her her own little tasting with complementary truffle cheese and truffle honey on top.
