The room has an incredible view of the ferry and the harbor. The central location is excellent to all of the shops and restaurants as well. Did I mention, I found the view, absolutely incredible? Furthermore, the quality of construction of the room is top notch. It's obvious that the ownership sought to create the most memorable Friday Harbor experience possible, and frankly, they were successful. The appliances, cabinetry, and furnishings are beyond anything else offered in this price range in Friday Harbor. Plus, the room was extremely clean and even includes a washer and dryer. Amazing! Management's attention to detail from the moment you enter the door cannot be understated nor underappreciated as a guest. I hope a room is available next time I visit Friday Harbor as I cannot see myself staying anywhere else. read more

I wish there was a 2.5 star option on this thing. Really good location right in town, a nice, comfortable bed, but more bad than good. The room was expensive, first of all, too expensive for a room with absolutely no maid service. Not a towel change or an extra garbage bag. Nothing. Our bathroom towels were still wet when we arrived, and there was a dirty bandage on the bathroom floor. One of our lamps had a burnt bulb right from the get go, and the mini fridge was still full of leftovers from the people before us. There was one small garbage can - but no garbage bag and no garbage can in the bathroom. The mini fridge froze everything completely solid, and there were no tables. It's a fine place to stay for one night, but I was there for five nights, and was not impressed. read more

Spent 3 nights in the "Northwest Passages" condo unit. The suite sleeps 5 (master bedroom king and 2 pullout sofa beds, one queen and one single.) Extremely (!) well stocked and attractive unit with view of the ferry and a very small balcony with a propane grill. Awesome number of guides and documentation about the unit, where to park, how to use the unit's internet network, etc. Very nicely furnished and roomy. HD TV's in both the LR and master bedroom (Dish network.) Great walk-in shower and jacuzzi in the master suite and an additional 3/4 bath with shower. Very convenient for 3 or more guests. Very well furnished for cooking if you resist the temptation to try one of the numerous nearby restaurants. Can't say enough good things about the SJSuites PM. We initially reserved the suite for 3 and then had 2 friends join us at no additional charge. Requested a late checkout on Sunday with no difficulty. (Note: The suite was not reserved for Sunday night so that probably contributed to the ease of extending the checkout time.) Was unable to locate the LAN password (my fault) and called. Was told where to look. Easy Peasy. Only a few minor issues keeps this review from being a Five Star. Although the queen sleeper sofa was easy enough to open and our friends found it comfortable, it was almost impossible to close. Managed to close it once but not twice. Property management folks offered to come help (nice) but we didn't bother on the day we left. Long story short, the queen sofa bed should be repaired or replaced. The single sleeper sofa was fine for our nine year old daughter. YMMV. Second, as helpful as the extensive documentation provided in the unit was, it was somewhat overwhelming. A card placed on the kitchen counter providing the internet security code would have saved some time on our part (and that of the property managers.) Third, we tried to reach the Property Management folks after 4:30PM on both Thursday and Friday and received a recorded message indicating that the office was open until 5PM but no one was there. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind. Fourth, if you come to Friday Harbor to watch TV, you may be disappointed in the Dish Network. Found it problematic several times over the weekend but was able to find the Seahawks' game eventually. And to be fair, if you're watching much TV you're missing the point of coming to Friday Harbor. One final note. It appears the first Yelp review was for the "Conservatory" suite, the only suite that allows pets. From the reviewer's comments it appears the quality of furnishings may vary from suite to suite. (Not uncommon in vacation rental condos.) So you may want to inquire about the specifics of the suite you're booking. All in all, this is a great alternative to some of the upscale accommodations in Friday Harbor (e.g. Friday Harbor House.) More room, excellent view, and more economical. If you don't need the perks of a full service hotel and would rather have the privacy of a complete suite for three or more folks, it's highly recommended. read more

We stayed fro 5 days in the Channel Suite over 4th of July Holiday. It was perfect. It had everything we needed, was close to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and the ferry. The room was easy to find and the guaranteed parking was nice. We are already planning another trip back and will definetely be using San Juan Property Management for the lodging. read more

Location is great, downtown next to ferry terminal. Easy access out of town to sight seeing options. Room was promoted as a one bedroom with a sleeper couch. Really a studio type unit and sleeper was a disaster...springs loose,uncomfortable,could not be used. Kitchen amenities were great. Small television. read more

I have stayed at the Suites many times and have been in most of the rooms. Awesome place to go! I has become a family tradition for all 4 generations of us. The views are stunning, the rooms are quality, and the overall feel is one of peace and tranquility. Definitely a 5-Star experience with beautiful bathrooms and everything you need. It was great having the fully-equipped kitchen and walking distance to most anything, was a huge plus! We have sent many friends up there and everyone comes back expressing the same feelings we have. Treat yourself to a walk along the pier and visit with Popeye the famous Seal. (She's really a she) read more
