I booked a minibus through San Francisco Minibus to transport 20 people to a Giants game from Marin. It was very easy to coordinate the transportation. The company got back to me quickly and was very responsive. Our driver, Nathan, was terrific. He knew the best route to get to the stadium through rush hour and ballpark traffic. His driving was great, especially given how foggy it was heading back to Marin. The bus was clean and well taken care of. I would work with this company again! read more

I chose this company because of their cost and the wonderful reviews I read online. But they couldn't have been more wrong. They were very nice to speak to over the phone but I couldn't get them to respond back to any of my emails. They wouldn't give me driver info until 30 mins before the trip so I wasn't even sure the driver got my detailed itinerary prior to departing. The first driver, of my 3 day events, was rude and surly according to my client. So I wasn't expecting the rest of the week to be any better. They were on time and no other issues. But I shouldn't have to constantly hound them for confirmations/driver details/change acknowledgements/email responses. Once they took my money they were no longer responsive and I had to call them multiple times to get anything done. Everything has worked out but I wont use them again. I heart SF Minibus. They have AMAZING customer service and were very professional. I am sorry that the other yelper had such a bad experience but they far exceeded my expectations, so I felt it was my duty to post a good review for them. I needed to charter a bus for my sister's wedding to shuttle the guests between our hotel and the wedding venue (a winery in Sonoma). SF Minibus gave me the lowest quote amongst other bus companies so I decided to go with them. After googling them after booking them, however, I found a bad review on Yelp and got a little nervous. After all, I wanted my sister's wedding to be perfect and a bad bus charter would have ruined the whole day! But everyone at SF Minibus was fantastic. Amazing customer service and incredibly flexible. They do mostly corporate events and don't usually handle weddings, but they easily answered all questions I had. They signed the wedding vendor contract we had with no problems and were incredibly prompt with emails and phone calls. I was only booking the bus with a week to go for the wedding, but they were able to respond quickly to all my questions. On the day of the wedding, the bus driver showed up on time and waited patiently for us (we were running late). He shuttled all our guests and was incredibly professional even though the last bus ride back was filled with loud and tipsy wedding guests. I am giving them five stars because: I lost my camera the day of the wedding. I didn't know I lost it until the next day. Although I never found it, the SF Minibus people went above and beyond what was expected to try to find it when I called them the next day. The driver called me and they contacted everyone in connection with our bus, including the cleaning staff to try and find the camera for me. I truly appreciated their efforts and so I wanted to post this and let everyone know that they are a reputable company who I will definitely work with again should I need charter service. read more

We hired this company to provide the transportation for our wedding. The plan was for our guests to park and then be shuttled to and from the ceremony. SF Minibus was well versed on the route and locations. They were 45 minutes late and were unable to stagger their arrivals as per the plan. They completely missed our hotel pick-up and a group of guests ended up taking cabs. They were supposed to arrive every 15 minutes. However, there were two pick ups in a row, then a 30 minute wait ---- resulting in my late arrival to my wedding. It was frustrating, I had lots of guests asking me when the buses would arrive. Luckily, everyone else was pretty understanding, but I would certainly not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading all the mixed reviews on Yelp, but after my experience with SF Minibus, I only have good things to say about them. I worked with Shiela and Lido on organizing an all-day SF city tour for a group of 27 out-of-towners. I needed a bus to pick us up from Fremont, drive us around SF with a tour guide, and drop us back off in Fremont in the evening. I exchanged probably a dozen emails with Shiela/Lido during the whole process to discuss price quotes, what-if scenarios, and to get their recommendation on possible itineraries. What I loved -- the responsiveness via email and telephone, and the actual execution of our plan. I requested a quote from 3 vendors, and SF Minibus was the only one to respond. They answered every single one of my questions and offered suggestions on routes and how to maximize my time. My driver Adolfo arrived to pick us up 15 minutes early and was extremely pleasant and accommodating. He knew his routes and where he could park/not park at the various stops on our tour. The bus was very nice and comfortable. Our tour guide Jean probably knew more about SF than anyone on the planet and gave our group a fabulous tour. We didn't follow the "script" exactly as planned and ended up having some extra time between stops, but both Adolfo and Jean were more than happy to take us to some additional stops. Our tour included: AT&T Park, Alcatraz, Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard, Palace of Fine Arts, Crissy Field, Golden Gate Park, Haight, Alamo Square and Chinatown. I can give you more detail if you'd like, but suffice it to say that our itinerary was perfect and gave our group the opportunity to experience SF the way it should be experienced. read more

We used SF Minibus for the transportation for our Nov. '09 wedding. We booked two shuttles and we used the shuttles to transport wedding guests and the bridal party from the reception site to the ceremony site. No fancy limo necessary here. The ceremony site was in a location where parking is nearly impossible. We emailed SF Minibus a schedule in advance, and we asked if they could print out signs to put on the front windows of the shuttle to indicate that the shuttles were for our wedding guests. The shuttles arrived early on the day of the wedding, and they had signs on the front window like we asked. The drivers did a very good job of going back and forth to pick up and drop off guests. The insides of the shuttle were also nice and clean (which was a big relief, especially since we never checked out the shuttles in advance). The pricing for TWO shuttles was also cheaper than renting ONE limo, and most of the guests used the shuttle to either get to the ceremony site or get to the reception site after the ceremony. I would highly recommend SF Minibus if you aren't into fancy limos and if need to transport a large number of people. read more

I found their drivers to be prompt, professional, and knowledgeable about the city- which was extremely important given what we were using them for. On the day of our second bus tour, half of Market St. was closed and the bus driver was still early and mapping out alternate routes. SF Minibus provided us with great service at a reasonable price for our wedding in Berkeley in April 2010. Price was a real issue for us since renting a bus is so expensive. Unlike many of the other transportation providers we contacted, they start charging you from the first pick-up location instead of what many others did, which is charging from the time for the bus leaves their parking depot. We were given an easy to understand quote inclusive of all taxes, fees and gratuity. They were reliable, courteous, and all of our guests had good reports as far as the cleanliness and timing of the bus. read more

We used SF Minibus to transport our out of town wedding guests from ceremony to reception, across town to avoid dealing with cabs. We worked with Sheila to arrange a one-way transfer from Golden Gate Park to downtown. While the price hurt a little for a 36 person bus, SF Minibus had the best rate compared to Bauers etc. Communication was easy during the planning process, but I do recommend reconfirming on details just as you would with any other wedding vendor. The bus arrived early, was clearly labeled, and shuttled our guests efficiently to our reception. Guests raved about the ease of the experience and comfort of the bus. While it wasn't in our original budget, adding this service and using SF Minibus was ultimately the right call, and a great use of money for our event. read more

The actual bus service is great, but the customer service could use some work. There was a bunch of confusion at first with how many buses I wanted. Once we finally got the quote, it was always difficult communicating with them because they use language like: [excerpt from actual e-mail] Herewith is your confirmation. For your perusal. Then suddenly one day before the event I got passed off to some different customer service rep, and had to provide details all over again. I think they are used to dealing with professional event people, so it's a good thing I was one in my former life! After reading several reviews on Yelp, we decided to book these guys for our wedding transportation (pre-ceremony pictures around SF). They were reasonably priced and cheaper than some alternatives we found ($398 for 4 hours, inclusive of tax and gratuity). I have nothing but great things to say about the booking process -- I worked with Sheila and she was extremely responsive, on top of things, etc. A couple days before the wedding, I emailed her the detailed itinerary and asked for the driver's contact information (which she didn't have at the time, but she gave me her number as well as the 24 hour dispatch). The day of the wedding, the driver arrived on time. However, as we piled into the vehicle, I noticed we did not have seats for everyone -- this was annoying since this was the first thing I asked when I booked and the amount of people on the shuttle was detailed in the itinerary (and should have been pointed out if it was an issue). So unfortunately, one of the photographers had to sit on the floor (which I felt bad about). The driver also turned out to be rather difficult to deal with. I don't think he really knew his way around SF because he took the longest, most congested way imaginable to our first photo location, which cut into our pictures so we had to ditch the second location. Asking him to turn on the air conditioner (multiple times) and pull away from the curb so people could get out without having to step in mud, etc. was also a great feat in itself. The entire experience with the driver was really off-putting and frankly, not one that is needed on a day that needs to be well-scheduled, organized and happy (which the driver was not). I recently hired SF Minibus to take a group of 18 wine tasting up in Sonoma. The customer service (initial P. first name) was very professional and friendly. The driver (initial A. first name) was simply outstanding. He showed up spot on time, had the two coolers I requested on board with ice bags inside, and the bus was clean as a whistle. His driving was exemplary - brisk (which was welcome as we had a full schedule of wineries) but perfectly safe. He even navigated a couple tricky turnarounds in tight winery corners with ease. We used SF Minibus for our pre wedding transportation. We had to book them for 4 hours which we found to be standard in the business. We had 3 locations; downtown, the Presidio and the Palace of Fine Arts. The price and communication in the booking process was great. We established a timeline and on the day of the event, the bus was at the first pickup place on time. Our biggest complaint was the driver did not know the routes to take, even though we gave them our timeline with all the locations days before the event. The driver needs to make sure they know where to go; especially since we were on a pretty strict timeline. It shouldn't be our responsibility to give the driver turn by turn directions. read more

I immediately replied back asking for clarification, and she emailed the next day with barely a sentence. I also like that they give you an all-inclusive total so you don't have to worry about adding gratuity or fuel charges later. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. The day prior to our wedding (10/10/15), SF Mini Bus canceled our reservations claiming to have not received our CC Authorization form. We show a signed form dated 8/28/15. We had 75+ guest in need of transportation from SF City Hall to the Warf. All needed to find last minute transportation. Luckily we were able to find a replacement bus that could accommodate 33 people leaving over 40 people scrambling for Taxis and Ubers. Who need this stress on wedding day? My recommendation is to AVOID using SF Mini Bus and use SF Party Bus as they were very understanding of our situation and did everything they could to minimize our guests inconvenience. Thank you SFMiniBus for the wonderful service you provided for my family to and from Pier 35 and the Star Princess. We had a group of 10 with all the luggage that 10 people can bring on a cruise (18 pieces plus carryon). The only downside was the driver who picked us up to start would not take the van up the driveway. My sons-in-law had to take all the luggage to the van at the bottom of the driveway -- BUT this was resolved on the way back from the ship. The van took us to the top of the drive so we could unload all the luggage there. The vans arrived on time. The vans were clean and the drivers were excellent, particularly the last one who helped with everything. I would use this service again.
