It is a bang for your buck and you will save - especially if you didn't rent a car and are ubering around. It's a good value. If the weather permits, it's fun sitting on the top of the bus. Always bring a sweater or coat just in case. I loved the automated audio guide you can listen to with the headphones provided. Learned some really cool facts about the city. The Not So Good? It is a long ride. I would guess about a two hour ride from stop to finish. I did two days and the bus drivers weren't very friendly.

Made us switch buses, that took 10'min, then wait for the driver to finish their 30 min break before the buss stars moving. I'm 70 mins in and have gone anywhere and seen anything. For those looking for something truly unique to do in the bay area, I highly recommend this tour…read more I'm not going to try and butter this review up here. Let's be honest - I am not a farm person. I appreciate a good meal but am not one who normally spends much time worrying about where my food comes from. So I expected to be bored on this trip, frankly. Boy was I wrong. This trip blew my expectations away. It was a great mix of different farms and different ways of doing things, and I felt like a kid again on a super-fun field trip where you got to explore and touch and watch the makings of where your food comes from. The farmers were genuine, down-to-earth people and were serious farm-fresh foodies. We literally had meals prepared for us by the farmers right in front of us and they were SO DELICIOUS. I got to pick my own tomatoes right off the vine. I even learned about fruits and vegetables I'd never even heard of. Oh, did I mention I got to try them out, too? The environment was relaxed. The guides were very knowledgeable and interesting. And the design of the event was really mellow but well planned. Did I mention the views? These properties are just amazing. What awesome country to get to go hang out in. Between all the exploring, wine, food and learning, the day went by fast and I got to take in a ton of beautiful sites. This tour was a find. After having my parents visit the bay area regularly and running out of creative things to do with them, I know where I am taking them next. What a great and unique thing to do on your weekend.

I'm honored to have been a visiting guide on a custom tour we developed around the local textiles and maker community in Oakland. The tour included personal studio visits with local makers, a lunch stop at a local artisanal eatery, wine tasting and ended with a sewing workshop where the participants created a collaborative wall hanging as a keepsake for the honoree's birthday. STAY AWAY!! Sure wish I had seen the reviews from Jessie (4/24/22) and Anne (7/26//19) before…read morebooking a tour with this company! My review is based on my experiences on 6/26/24. I have sent these comments 2X to Skyline before posting here, and I have received no reply. This company is at least a sham if not a scam... 1. First, there was absolutely no transparency from the company about its "partnership" with Big Bus. My relatives and I waited nearly an hour for one of its orange buses to show up, only to finally ask if Big Bus might accept Skyline's vouchers. Thankfully, we were allowed to board a Big Bus, otherwise we might have wasted more time waiting on orange buses that were nowhere to be seen. 2. Because Big Bus doesn't offer Mandarin recordings, my relatives visiting from China were not able to make use of the tour recording. However, I was assured by Skyline that Mandarin was available on "its buses." 3. Skyline's interactive timetable did not work, and it was difficult to find on the website. 4. There is no way to contact Skyline by phone for assistance despite its SF mailing address, which is the same for Big Bus. Is it really based in SF? 5. If the company is no longer operating its own buses (perhaps this has been the case since 2019?), that should be made clear from the start. In essence, Skyline is really a booking agency while Big Bus provides the drivers and vehicles. The website photos of its buses are totally misleading and are false advertising. I could have saved a lot of time if I had just booked with Big Bus from the start. Plus I could have purchased tickets on Expedia for less than what I paid on Skyline's website. All of this begs the question: what is the purpose of advertising Skyline and Big Bus as separate companies if they are one and the same? Maybe the Better Business Bureau can get to the bottom of this??!!

These buses come around about every 15-30 minutes so you are never waiting too long for one and stops at all the places you would want to see in San Fransisco. The tour guide was so funny and knowledgeable about the history of the city so we had fun and learned a lot. I recommend this to anyone wanting to see the city as a whole before exploring it on foot. This service makes that easy and fun.

It's not your typical tour--you're not stuck behind glass or packed into a big group. The city is right there around you, and everything feels more alive; almost cinematic. The whole experience was super easygoing and fun! We covered a lot without it ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of chances to stop, take photos, and just enjoy where we were. Some of our favorite moments were actually the unexpected spots we never would've found on our own, like the beautiful, yet uncrowded overlook on Telegraph Hill. Everything felt really natural--nothing scripted or forced. Just a great mix of interesting stories, local insight, and a lot of laughs along the way. Chad made the tour phenomenal. He brought brought great energy and enthusiasm to the experience, which made it even more enjoyable without ever feeling over the top. And the bus itself is half the experience! It's such a vibe--people smiling, waving, even taking pictures as you drive by. It adds this extra layer of fun you just don't get anywhere else. By the end, it felt like we experienced San Francisco in a way you can't do anywhere else. So if you're even thinking about it, just book it. Totally worth it!! -Mark & Gina, Kansas, USA.
