You may recall my post one November morning after I discovered my septic tank needed to be pumped…read more I located Eberle Septic on Angi.com, and he showed up to pump the tank and did a fine job. It was discovered that the system would need to be replaced, and he offered to reach out to a company he felt was reputable. I'm not sure, but I believe this made him a contractor because he wrote up the paperwork that the septic company, Kyle Salmeron Septic, would subcontract under Eberle Septic and Chad Eberle would oversee all the work done at my home (I never saw him again). I paid Eberle $12,000 for the job, and he paid Salmeron $7,500. Kyle Salmeron and I discovered Chad pocketed $5,000 for the referral. Kyle Salmeron Septic showed up to begin work. The old tank was removed, and a very large hole was left in my backyard. A 500 gallon tank was removed leaving a hole large enough for a 500 gallon tank to be installed, however they brought in a 1000 gallon tank and it sat in my yard for a week until they ordered the correct tank. Along with the large smelly hole, my privacy fence had been cut into sections so they could get the backhoe in. My 7-station irrigation system was pulled up from the ground, PVC pipe shattered, broken main water line, electrical wires exposed, sitting in a 500 gallon pool of smelly eater. We are still assessing the cost to repair or replace. A 70+ year old tree will need to be cut down or it will fall on my home, AND the septic tank is sitting above ground, The hole for the tank was not deep enough. Kyle Salmeron neglected to inform me of his chronic illness and inability to complete the job in the two day time frame. HE NEVER SHOULD HAVE ACCEPTED THE JOB. The work took over 5 weeks. My clothing, bedding, furniture, carpet, and air all smell like septic water. To remove the tree, replace the irrigation system, repair the fence, replace the soil, sod and new grass, clean my clothing, carpet, etc., is more than I can afford and I don't see them being held accountable for any of it. I contacted the Attorney General's office and he suggested I have the BCSO document the damage. The sheriff says it's a civil issue, take it to small claims court. The damage, at a conservative estimate is well over, $35,000. I highly suggest you avoid Angi.com, Eberle Septic, and Kyle Salmeron Septic. I have taken up the matter with Angi.com and should hear back from them Monday.

Chad was hired to pump a septic tank with an agreed price. He proceeded to do a $600 diagnosis…read morewith a $200 "flush down the toilet" to find the other tank he said he couldn't find. That was not the problem, the problem was when he charged me and extra $800 without asking me if I approved of them or if I had the funds. I asked if he could dismiss those charges if I hired his service and he said No. I refused to pay him for those undisclosed fees so he called the sheriff charging "theft of service" when he was the thief in doing what he did with no approval. If you hire him, please have him disclose of all his fees because he is that one that will charge inflammatory fees and then call the cops on you. I paid him because I'm no thief. I will ensure others know around me about his poor business practices in this city. You know what's not great? Needing an entire septic system replaced in an older home. Know what's…read moreeven worse? Having to get bids from a bunch of companies to come out and return astronomical bids over the phone and (when you can actually get them to show up) at your home. That changed when I called MJ Septic and received an actual realistic bid for a turn key anaerobic system. They work by email, which I prefer so that there is a paper trail of contact, which it turns out I didn't need. I worked with Stephanie who was awesome! She coordinated with me and the Engineer during the permit process, she set realistic and accurate expectations concerning the time table to have those permits approved and when the install day came, the crew moved with lightning speed. From the initial ground breaking to the final electrical install and test the process took one week. ONE WEEK! My neighbor (with a similarly aged home as mine) called me to ensure his eyes didn't deceive him; "There is NO WAY they are already done with that install..." LOL, yep! I was blown away by their efficiency and clockwork adherence to the schedule which is something you don't find too often in this industry. I was kept in the loop as far as what to expect and when to expect it, it was an all around 5 star experience. Look, no one wants to be in this situation, but if you find yourself needing a new septic system, or repair of an older one, and are reading this review to make an informed decision regarding whom to call, I am here to tell you, this outfit has the expertise to get the job done, and the customer service to keep you informed while doing so. I highly recommend MJ Septic and will continue to do so by name whenever I hear anyone in the market for this service.

Needed my septic pumped & called Bulldog after finding their company on Yelp. I read a negative…read morepost about them charging more from the phone quote to the in-person price because they had to dig septic tank cover off. I clearly described access to my tank and they were able to quote the same over the telephone & in-person price. I found the 2 techs friendly & they provided good info on system maintenance. They neatly put back the little bit of grass around the tank lid they had to remove to access the lid. Also...I would ignore that other guy with the negative review about price change. If your tank lid is buried, & significant effort has to go into just accessing the lid before any pump out work can be done & you don't tell Bulldog that, then charging more for the time & to dig it out is reasonable. I will use Bulldog for my future septic pump out needs.

I had my septic tank pumped. They did a good job, but they severely under-quoted me how much it…read morewould cost. I was quoted $425 plus a "possible $100 digging charge if they have to dig more than 12 inches down". So my family and I went out there and dug out one whole opening, about 11" down. Turns out they need 2 openings, plus they changed their digging charge policy. According to the receptionist, the policy just changed to "If they have to dig at all, it's $100". So just be aware. $100 to dig a few scoops of dirt SEEMS high to me, but what do I know. My average sized home has a 1,250 gal. tank, and apparently such a tank can hold 1500 gallons, because they charged me $150 more for 500 extra gallons pumped. So all in all, I paid $675 when I expected to pay $425. A bit of a sticker shock. Would I recommend them? Maybe, but just know that they under-quote you. I paid over 50% more than I expected. You WILL have to add the $100 digging fee, and unless you're living in a 1 bedroom trailer, your tank will be more than the $425 standard fee for "up to 1,000 gallons". I'm not going to be ridiculous and give them 1 star or some nonsense. They get 3 stars. They did a good job on the pumping. But I honestly think the owner(s) have a lot to learn about business, customer service, and human psychology. Who likes to pay more than they expected? If you need more than $425 for a pumping, just raise your price. But don't play games. $100 for a bit of digging is ridiculous. Don't hold out hope a person can escape that massive charge, if you want that $100 every time you come out. Just be up-front about how much you want for your service.
