I had a blocked sewer line what had been invaded by tree roots. Had to call a plumber in the evening to clear the block and he then give me an outrageous proposal to dig up and repair the sewer line. Since it was also time to service the septic system and the blocked line was close to the septic tank, I called Van Delden to see if they could take care of all of it. The crews they sent over were great. Skilled, efficient and courteous. Jill did a fantastic job of scheduling all this and handling all my questions. JD came out to troubleshoot the drainage problem with my septic. It was no easy task as the pool installation people snaked all of the plumbing all around and over (!) the septic tank and lines. They are not accommodating to clients. The service folks are fine. It's the billing department that is not service oriented and rude. They came two different times to fix two different things. They billed me once, though I asked to split the invoice (I would still make payment in full). I would be charged 40 dollars to use my credit card on the combined total, but not on the two smaller amounts. Just ridiculous. read more

Van Delden is my new 'go to' company for septic system needs. I had two septic tanks (one 1,000 gal. & one 750 gal.) that needed to be located, the lids uncovered, pumped/cleaned, and the lids covered back up. I spoke with Courtney and she was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She pulled up the permit information and talked to me about what some of the hand drawings meant and what the technician would do when he arrived. When Mike Williams came out, he was able to find the tanks fairly quickly based on the permit drawings. He did an excellent job of pumping and cleaning the 1,000 gal. tank, and even managed to avoid damaging the sprinkler line that was very close to the outlet lid. When it came time to pump the 750 gal. tank, he inspected it and determined that it did not require pumping. I've been put on the schedule for pumping that tank in three years. All in all, I am extremely happy with the work that they did. For as long as I remain in this house, Van Delden is the company that I will use for all my septic system needs. What a great company to work with. They found a problem in my septic system which is out of warranty. In spite of this, they replaced one of the tanks which was faulty. They were here when they said they would be, the two people who did the work were pleasant and considerate, and they kept me informed of their progress. Yes it doesn't make a bit of a mess in the backyard, but they put it back together as best they could.
