They are not replying because they know there is no plausible explanation I have recently learned a 4'x4'x10' sheet of styrofoam was used to fill space on top of my system. I even know it was purchased at "Foam Products of San Antonio" Still wanna say I'm fabricating details Chad? You forget I have what was the lead installer on my side now BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE UPDATE #2. Because I refuse to let Van Delden simply deny accountability and my claim that there are neighbors dealing with the same issue the map below shows 2 houses circled that have the same fiberglass unit buried even deeper than mine. The homeowners are currently working with Highland Homes to "find a resolution" to fix these ticking time bombs. Highland is asking for their patience as they come up with a solution. They are having to try to engineer something to reinforce it and prevent collapse without having to replace the entire system with a concrete system like I had to and which should have been placed from the beginning due to the depth of the plumbing coming out of the house. UPDATE. since they still are not interested in taking any accountability let me describe with more detail. First of all the photos speak for themselves! The styrofoam has no business being there. What on earth could explain its need to be there? Van Delden and Highland Homes both try to blame the other. Van Delden tries to say they "have written documentation from Highland Homes that they further raised the grade after project completion! That may be the case but that still doesn't explain the styrofoam. A picture is worth a thousand words. I think these speak very very loudly Let me add a couple more including a stack of risers and some specs from the Clearstream website I can assure you there was a suit filed, lawyers were involved and that Clearstream (manufacturer of the septic system itself), nor Highland Homes were too happy with my photos, videos, or firsthand inspections We ended up having to pay $18,300 for a full replacement with a different company. Highland Homes paid us this plus a small bit more (which barely covered my lawyers fees plus the 1700 sq fr of sod that had to be replaced (4 pallets at $270/ pallet) And I do know for a fact that two of my next-door neighbors systems are buried every bit as deep or deeper than mine and Highland Homes is currently seeking to find an engineering workaround to avoid having to replace the whole system When this first happened I would have settled being out a few thousand dollars of my own money if you all would have just done what was right and owned it. Instead you want to continue to deny accountability Wish I could give a half star. My fiberglass system which is not supposed to be buried any deeper than 18" was knowingly buried just short of 4' deep due to the plumber placing main line too deep. Rather than installing a concrete system which would be capable of supporting the weight of that much soil on top they opted to install the fiberglass system and put a MASSIVE amount of styrofoam on top to fill some of the space but not weigh as much as soil would (as if that was ever going to work long term). It worked for about 3 yrs before it completely gave way and collapsed revealing their deceit. Upon reaching out to them they simply wanted to fall back on their "2 yr warranty" and because it was 3 yrs they declined any and all accountability. I live in Timberwood Park in a pocket of 19 homes built 3-5 yrs ago and already multiple homes have had similar failures and two of my neighbors have fiberglass systems buried as deep or deeper (we can measure down the clean out pipe to the T fitting as well as see how many risers were used when the septic lid is removed. I had to get a lawyer involved and we won that case without a problem. I have tons of photos and videos showing how much blatant disregard went into my installation. They are known for being price gougers. Now you can add sketchy and deceitful to their name!!!!!!!!!

This was especially troubling since the dispatcher had already confirmed it was the same issue being repaired a second time. Neither management nor the owner (who had been personally introduced to me) has ever responded. This company's unprofessionalism, billing errors, and disregard for customers are appalling. Avoid this company at all costs. I am now evaluating whether to escalate this matter to consumer protection agencies to prevent others from being treated the same way. It's sad to see a business I've supported for years fail to provide simple explanations and treat loyal customers this poorly. All trust has been lost. Response to the Company's response: I appreciate the company's reply, but it unfortunately confirms the very issue I described. For three months, I asked for clarification on why I was billed twice for the same unresolved problem, a matter your own dispatcher acknowledged was the same service being revisited, not a new one. That's why I reached out for clarification, as anyone would after receiving a second bill by surprise that was said to be for the same work. The repair was only completed successfully on the second visit, which is when payment should reasonably apply. The problem has since been resolved with no further issues, confirming that the first visit was not a completed job, something also acknowledged by the dispatcher. Despite repeated outreach, no one ever explained this or provided details of what was done on that second visit; I only received another invoice. After being ignored for months, I ultimately paid the second bill under threat of collections, not because the situation was ever clarified. The owner's follow-up came only after I posted this review, and even then, my questions about billing and communication were not addressed. I've been a customer for over five years and have always paid promptly once a repair was completed. My only request was transparency. It's disappointing that instead of acknowledging that, the company continues to deflect responsibility rather than address the lack of communication and customer care that led to this situation. I'm not looking to escalate this any further; I simply wanted the company to understand how this came across from a long-time customer's perspective. I genuinely hope you take this as constructive feedback. In my experience, clear communication and follow-through make all the difference in maintaining trust and long-term relationships. Disacknowledgement only leads to a loss of trust, and in this case, confirms it.

They fixed it fast and charged me UNDER $270!! On a Friday evvening at 7 pm. when tech arrived. That's amazing. He also figured out how to unclog the downstairs sink which drained slow. No one else could figure it out cause it's copper pipes that are an odd configuration. Another time he sold me an air conditioner for about $9,000 less than others would have charged. He said it was an older model he had. It works fantastic as the house is older. Perfect match. I'm not saying they're perfect. But I've dealt with other plumbing companies who tried to charge me $10,000 for a problem they fixed for $300. HONEST is freaking hard to find.

Not all plumbing jobs are the same and things that happened during the big Texas storm early in 2021 I had to take with a grain of salt. As a bonus, his team was ready to start work the very next day so we got it on their schedule. Communication throughout the engagement was great. They showed up in the window they gave me. So I tell him to look closer, he does and then tells me it will cost almost $1000.00 to fix this leak that he didn't even think was there. I told him I will have to pass even though I still have to pay them $135 just for showing up and giving me this outrageous estimate. Frustrating experience! After that I called a different plumber who came out to the correct location and was very prompt, polite and reasonably priced. Never again will I fall for these scammers at San Antonio Plumbing!

When I called to schedule, I was assured the repairs would be covered and completed the same day. Hector, the technician, confirmed this in person and diagnosed the same issue as the first plumber. I even received an email from the warranty company approving replacement of the PRV, hose bib, and up to 4 hours of labor. Great! But just an hour later, Hector called to say the coverage was only partial--and I owed an additional $270. I asked for an invoice with a breakdown. What I received listed 7 hours of labor (2 hours for valves, 5 for the PRV). Hector had only been on-site for around an hour--it simply couldn't have taken 2 hours to replace the valves. I also questioned paying more before he replaces the PRV, especially since it's unlikely even six hours of labor is needed. Hector ignored my concerns and told me to call the office the next day. But the office didn't answer while he was there trying to collect payment. This is unacceptable--my PRV is still uninstalled despite the promise of same-day service. Additionally, Hector left the water on, even though I specifically asked him to shut it off due to high pressure. Now he's ignoring my texts altogether. I will never recommend this company, and I plan to file a complaint with both the home warranty company and relevant consumer authorities.
