I left multiple messages for both the front desk and the doctor's assistant and rarely received a return call. On several occasions, I couldn't even leave a message because the voicemail boxes were full. The lack of communication was incredibly frustrating. Eventually, I was able to schedule an appointment and meet with Dr. Truong. During our consultation, I explained the symptoms I was experiencing as well as my previous negative experiences with other gastroenterologists. Dr. Truong reassured me that he would take care of me and emphasized that patient satisfaction was his top priority. An endoscopy and colonoscopy were subsequently scheduled and performed in March. The procedures went smoothly, and I later received a letter from the office with my results. However, instead of discussing the findings with me, I was simply advised to follow up with my primary care physician. This was surprising given the assurances I had received during my initial visit. I called the office again hoping to schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss my results and ongoing concerns. As before, reaching a live person was difficult. When I finally got through, I was told that the next available appointment was several months away. Given the symptoms I was experiencing, waiting that long was not reasonable, so I chose to follow up with my primary care doctor instead. To add to my frustration, the doctor's assistant contacted me approximately three months later to schedule a follow-up appointment. By that point, I had already sought care elsewhere. It left me feeling as though the results of my endoscopy and colonoscopy were not important enough to warrant a timely discussion with the physician. Based on my experience, the lack of communication, follow-up, and accessibility was disappointing.

I am just thankful to God that he made Dr. Mourani. He is the definition of a remarkable human being and a gentleman. And one who defines medicine. His Nurse practitioner in the Glendora office is a terrific representation of him. She is hands on and a "people person". The way she treats you is therapeutical.. It helps you to forget that you even had a problem while you were there. There are others' who calls themselves doctors and NP out there, who can take a page from their books to improve themselves as human beings and who they claim to be in their profession. Dr Mourani is effective, competent, knowledgeable and thorough, because he his is operating within his God given gift, and not to identify with prestige or profit. Even though one has to work to earn their living, he is well deserving of his , he earns it everyday. He is a part of the few doctors on earth who are the very best. The staff at the Arcadia surgical facility are very sweet and caring. There are some out there who calls themselves doctors when they should be plumbers. they were never mean to be doctors, so they have no clue as to what they are doing. Thank God for Dr. Mourani

I owe $36 and have called three separate times with no call back. The portal has you enter your statement code, then your credit card info, then takes you right back to the welcome page and asks for your statement code again. Why have a billing department if they never answer their phone? I am going to report them for putting me in collections. Update: After spending over an hour on the phone with this offices medical records dept and then my insurance, someone claiming to be from billing finally called me back. After I explained to her several times that I had been on the phone with their medical records dept and my insurance trying to resolve this after her dept failed to return my call several time over the last months, she continued to say "I thought you said nobody has called you back." She also claimed that I owed additional money. I tried to give her my credit card number but she was driving or something. She finally hung up on me. I then called the offices appointment line and they said I do not owed them the original $36. The billing person lied to me! It should not be this hard to handle a bill.

Dr doctor is holding my antacid medication as hostage because due to the pandemic he is not making any money and he told me on the last visit to wait 10 years to come see him and it has only been 7 years. So after talking my primary doctor he went ahead and filled my medications and said that this was not the rite for this doctor's office not filling my medication. At this point I will find a new doctor and not come see this doctor again. He is not the only doctor in town. I do not and would not recommend this doctor.

I recently went to see Dr. Yoo for a colonoscopy. I found him through my insurance company website…read moreand saw that he was located nearby in Rowland Heights. When I called to make my appointment, I found out that Dr. Yoo moved his practice to a new building in Diamond Bar as of March 2024. Dr. Yoo's new office is located in the newly renovated Diamond Bar Medical Plaza, which was previously a Chuck E. Cheese (if you all were in the area when that was around). Looks like they are still in construction, as a couple offices are still vacant with plastic on the glass windows. The staff I encountered all very friendly and nice. Dr. Yoo was professional and clearly explained the process and indicated what I needed to do to prep for my procedure. I came in on a Monday and the front staff was able to fit me into an appointment on Thursday due to a last minute cancellation. This kind of procedure is not fun, but the entire staff made me feel comfortable the entire time, and the nurse who attended to me was so nice, I felt like my mom was taking care of me. =) She made sure I had extra blankets because I was cold and came by a couple times to made sure my IV was ok. I got a call the day after to follow up and see how I was feeling and if I was experiencing any issues. I appreciate the check in even though I was feeling good! I highly recommend Dr. Yoo if you need an gastroenterologist.

On one occasion, I received multiple phone calls in the same day asking why I had scheduled an appointment before my ultrasound was completed. I repeatedly explained that the appointment was to discuss the results of a previous ultrasound, which had already been completed and was in my chart. Despite explaining this several times, they continued to question me. The final issue that led me to cancel my care was when I was scheduled for an endoscopy. No one contacted me beforehand to explain what my out-of-pocket cost would be. Since my procedure was the next day, I called the office because I didn't want to be surprised by a large bill. I spoke with Maggie, and the interaction was extremely disappointing. Rather than listening to my concerns, she repeatedly talked over me while I was simply trying to understand why the office couldn't provide an estimate after obtaining the insurance authorization. It felt like the office was focused on getting paid by the insurance company but not on making sure patients understood their financial responsibility ahead of time. Instead of helping, Maggie told me to call my insurance company or the surgery center myself. I explained that I didn't understand why I had to make multiple phone calls when the procedure had been scheduled through their office. Even after I politely asked her to let me finish speaking, she continued interrupting me and eventually hung up on me. I have worked in customer service for many years, and throughout the conversation I remained respectful. There was nothing that justified ending the call that way. As a result of this experience, I canceled my procedure and will be finding another gastroenterologist. The physician may be excellent, but the office staff's communication, professionalism, and customer service need significant improvement. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.
