Luckily her colon was normal but her stomach scope showed Barrett's esophagus. Dr. Lee managed my Mom's Barrett's disease with a Japanese medicine. She has reversed to normal last week when Dr. Lee repeated her stomach scope. I noted dr. Lee had put extra effort to educate his patients about Barrett's disease and life style on his website. I really appreciate his passion in helping patients.

I specifically booked for 4:00 PM, shaved and prepped the night before, and showed up on time. I ended up waiting until 4:30 PM with no update. I said I wanted to cancel, and the staff member didn't even apologize for the delay or the wasted time. I wasted an entire hour between driving there, sitting in their waiting room, and driving back home. Totally unprofessional and disorganized. If this is how they manage appointments and treat first-time clients, I would never trust them with a laser.

Not knowing where to turn or whom to trust, thankfully a dear friend referred me to Dr. Patel. During my first appointment, Dr. Patel listened carefully to my concerns and understood that I was not only in severe pain but also nervous about being in a doctor's office. She quickly put me at rest with her compassionate and positive bedside manner. After her very thorough examination, she scheduled multiple tests. These tests identified serious but treatable GI issues, a hormonal imbalance, and a large ulcer that I was completely unaware of. Within a short time after starting treatment I was a newer better version of myself. Now, months later, I continue to improve and truly appreciate Dr. Patel for her incredible ability and willingness to address my medical issues.

She understood how exhausted I was and showed me warm caring as well, which I appreciated! Since my two visits, I've called her office with questions to her medical assistant, Precious, and I received answers from Dr. Patel within a day as well as a personal reply from her via email. Though she is listed here with a Tustin, CA office, she has a Mission Viejo office as well--it's very convenient for me!

I came to the emergency room in a full pheochromocytoma attack. This is the kind of medical…read morefacility that will tell you, you're having anxiety and its something serious and loved ones end up passing due to this type of dereliction. I'm a 36 yo adult. I am fully aware of anxiety/ panic attacks and this wasn't it. I had severe chest pains, high blood pressure, severe headache, sweating and started vomiting so finally decided it was time to go once I started vomiting. Mind you I was about 6-7 weeks post op a total hysterectomy. I went with no bra because the chest pain was so intense and my abdomen was still so sore from surgery. The man who did my ekg asked if I'm comfortable just walking around with no bra ... I was pretty shocked it being the ER but told him yes I can care less because my situation. I barley could walk due to the dizziness and vision problems I was having aside from everything else. But no biggie I brushed it off. Then the man who did my IV tells me, can you walk?! As I was in a wheelchair. I was like no dude I'm so dizzy and sore from my surgery. Made me feel like such an inconvenience and very embarrassed. Long story short they chummed it up to be chest pain and anxiety. I never even mentioned it had anxiety so that was weird. I expressed how bad my heart and chest was feeling and the ER doctor basically said I needed to follow up with an endocrinologist and there was nothing they could do aside from the meds they gave me. I was in complete disbelief. Went home feeling horrible but followed up with my primary and now I am seeing an endocrinologist who is sending me to Loma Linda hospital. You really have to advocate for yourself. It's so sad how they make you feel and brush off your symptoms. Especially when you're at your absolute worst. Even on my forms you can tell they tread lightly labeling it chest pain but still slightly mentioned my pheochromocytoma. Also, would have been nice for them to mention I had kidney stones but the emergency room doesn't feel that is a serious issue so I am aware they wont mention the findings, but its listed as some of the most painful heath issues. The wait was fine. Expected from an ER. If I end up here again I truly pray they do better and hope people get the care and compassion they need. I left two stars because my visit was in March. Today I visited the main hospital to retrieve my scans on a disk to give to the endocrinologist for the tumor and the gentleman who was volunteering in a wheelchair was amazing helping me navigate the hospital. The woman in medical records was also so very sweet and kind.
