TL;DR Received 16 of a 30 pill prescription, with an "owned 14" handwritten on bottle. Pharmacy did…read morenot mention pill shortage in 3 phone conversations. I switched to Flushing Pharmacy at my last doctor's appt from a large chain in an effort to support neighborhood businesses. A pharmacist called soon after to receive my insurance information, which I provided over the phone. This pharmacist offered to have my medications (some of which are controlled substances) delivered later that day. I explained I had an appointment and the delivery would need to happen before a certain time. Later, another pharmacist called to explain the delivery would be a few minutes late. I asked that my delivery be moved until the next day, when I would be home more of the day. This itself was not an inconvenience. The next day, I received another call to confirm delivery. Delivery person arrived during scheduled time, and I paid with a check. When I counted my medication, a popular on-brand prescription only had 16 of the 30 prescribed pills. On the bottle itself, the QTY: 30 was crossed out in pen and "16, owed 14" written above it. I am appalled that a medical service would send me a partial prescription of an expensive, on-brand medication that I paid for in full, and not mention a shortage during any of our three phone conversations. This is at best terrible business practices and at worst, fraud. Additionally, in hindsight, it is a terrible sign that a pharmacy would offer delivery of a Schedule IV drug (one of my other prescriptions) to someone who has never appeared in the store and whose identity they have not verified. Please support local businesses, but not this one.

The second I walk up to the counter, no one in line, I stand for five minutes and wait for the one pharmacist to acknowledge my existence. When she finally does she yells across the room asking what I need, I explain that I'm picking up a prescription just sent in. She doesn't ask my name, but instead asks if I'm Sophia. No date of birth question either. She asks for my insurance card and I give it to her. The second she looks at she says it's "medical insurance" not "pharmaceutical" and asks FOUR times if I have any different card in an extremely rude tone. To which I respond, no and that I have always used this card and never had a problem. She rolls her eyes as if I am now inconveniencing her and then asks me what my past pharmacy phone number is which I don't know off the top of my head, so she makes me look it up. She spends ten minutes on the phone with a CVS that I don't pick up from anymore and then tells me that my SIGNA insurance has expired which is a provider i've never used. I asked how much the prescription would be without insurance and she wouldn't say and then started explaining to me what insurance is and what it does. I asked then after being completely fed up if she would transfer my prescription elsewhere for me and she said I can go to the next location and ask them to do it and she wouldn't. I am an extremely anxious person so going into pick up a prescription is already stressful enough. She was so extremely rude from the second she spoke to me. When I asked for her name she proudly stated it was Galina. I was so upset that I let an employee in the front of the store know how her attitude affected my experience (she was very understanding and I also understand it wasn't her problem to fix) but I was in tears by the time I walked away. Confrontation is not ever easy for me nor something I enjoy doing, I'm so disappointed!! Overall the store seems to have a great selection, but wow this pharmacist really has an issue with customer service.
