I went by SAMs today in a bit of a panic due to my front tire. I was elated to see the tire bays still open at 6:40pm. My front tire was loosing pressure fast and wasn't sure I'd make it anywhere else and knew for sure I couldn't let it sit overnight. I got to the desk and was told there were only 2 people working and they would not be able to look at my tire. Evidently it's an "unwritten" policy that they don't accept vehicles after 6:15 or 6:30. They couldn't confirm and neither could the manager. But they seemed to be certain it was one of those. If that's the case, why not send the employees home and close the bays at that time if there are no cars? I work in customer service and my business is open until 9pm. If a guest walks in at 8:59pm, they will be given service because those are the hours posted. No worries, I limped it over to Discount Tire that had posted closed hours at 6pm. To my surprise they were still there working on cars that came in by 6pm. They graciously took me in. read more

I bought four tires from here, on my THIRD blowout, the employee was new and having a hard time with the system, first time he rang it up he said it would be $20, then $100, then full price, manager kept coming over but they didn't know what was going on either. It was too late in the day to go anywhere else and hope they had one in stock so I paid full price. I go to the cafe to get a drink and wait, EVERY SINGLE TABLE WAS DISGUSTINGLY STICKY. This place is horrible, I cancelled the auto renewal. Will be going to Costco from now on. read more

It's not one of the Sams that had unusual cool stuff, just very common things. It's ok.

I have waited to review this place since they have been remodeling it. They are almost done now. They have added a gas station. Which seems to be pretty popular. Since they are right off the highway and seem to be low. They have expanded the front of the store by about 50'-0''. The pharmacy has gotten bigger, they have doubled their freezer section. Which is very impressive. All new and very clean. The butcher area is big now and they have put in windows so you can see them at work and be able to garb their attention if needed. The cafe area has moved and now they have lots of tables and away from the exit. It still needs a little help. But over all good. They also added a chicken rotisserie area. It's in the back right. By the cakes. I had been waiting for this for quite some time now. I didn't want to give a negative review just cause of that. I love their chicken and Love going in there for a "Chicken Check In".They did all this work mainly at night. Remodeling the building and expanding it while still staying open. And the whole time. Very impressive coordination. They have hired some new people and they are looking like this will be a great place to shop. Getting out is sometimes a bit hard. Lots of people trying to get out the door. They have plenty of cashiers. But the people or person checking the receipt are actually doing their job and it takes a bit longer. I recommend the self checkout line. But they do tend to look at your ticket a bit more when getting out. But great when you only have a few items. And the people working there are very helpful. I am very pleased that it has turned out great. Now they need to work on getting more help on their tire area. They lack the people to help with getting tires. They are always working on the shop. Never had any issues at this store. They check membership cards more strictly than other Sam's I've been to. The prices are pretty good for those who actually need to buy in bulk. The aisles are clean and easy to navigate. Check out lines take a while though. I'd steer clear on weekends unless you don't mind waiting 30+ mins in a check out line. Bought groceries, but needed a new car battery. Conveniently, Sams sells car batteries. After putting our groceries away in the car, we bought the battery (thankfully, it was in stock). Employee offered free-installation for the new battery. My husband accepted - because why not? Took them 40-45 minutes to swap our old battery and install the new one. I'd understand if they were busy, but only one other vehicle was there - which arrived AFTER ours. They didn't seem understaffed either - I counted 4 employees. When I asked how much longer, employee replied "10 minutes" - took at least another 20 once we were told that. We love Sams, but definitely would not recommend the tire/battery department. read more

Customer service booth. Why are those girls there? I had a shirt to return that was a gift. They could not accept it because the Odessa store would not pick up the phone to assist them. At least they are consistent. If you have been given a gift in 2018, will you ask for the tags or a receipt? No. I love going in this store & regularly stock up plenty. Even though I had no assistance at all, I still shopped & nobody questioned me about the shirt with no tags on the way out. What else can I say? Care about the minimal service required. Not much to say about Sam's Club. Great place, and maybe the only place now that I think about it, to buy bulk here in Midland. This is a great place to buy supplies for your business whether office supplies or restaurant supplies. Believe it or not they have an outstanding meat market.They also have a pharmacy, hearing aid center, optical center, tire center, and cafe. The majority of check outs are self check. Overall great place to shop. read more

SAMs is a unique place. Very good stop for bulk items. We normally buy paper goods and non perishable items here. We do get some fruit and yogurt here because we burn through it quick. They have samples on Saturdays, which is awesome. If you're not a member, become one. read more

best cheap-o lunch in town....Nathan's Famous Hot Dog and a 32 oz. soft drink for $1.70 from the Sam's snack bar. sure, the sauerkraut comes out of a plastic pouch, you crank a handle to dispense your relish and chopped onions, there's only Heinz Yellow Mustard (no ketchup for me!), but it's still pretty good. for extra $, they'll put chili/cheese on your hot dog. now, it they could do something about their buns. better yet, turn it into a Chicago Dog with pickle slice, tomatoes, caramelized onions, neon-green sweet relish, hot peppers on a poppyseed bun (w/ a dash of celery salt)....wait, then they'd have to go with Vienna Beef hot dogs. read more

Never had an issue at any sams club in the entire US until this one. Put in an online order for pick up of just cases of water for my employees. Got stuck out on site and wasn't going to make it to the store before closing. Called to see if I could pay over the phone real quick and have an employee that was close by pick it up. After stuttering along just to say no. Not "im sorry it's against our policy" or "we are unable to take payments over the phone" just no. So yes as I hung up the phone after an already stressful, frustrating day I voiced a few cursed words about it being some bullshit which must have been heard before I hit the end button. Then 10 minutes later I received a call from a female manager asking me if I cursed at one of her employees? LMFAO are you kidding me? If I verbally berated someone I would applaud a manager for doing this but for what I said that wasn't directed at anyone this was laughable. Must not be much to do in the store to have time to look up my number and try to think you're a hero. Whatever makes a person feel good about themselves I guess. Teach these people how to promptly answer simple questions and some customer service skills. I wish I had time in my work day to worry about stupid shit like that. Uh oh, I said shit.... Can't believe the prices compared to my regular grocery store. I've been buying half the amount for way more or equal price. Meat selections were good as far as Organic Grass fed Beef and chicken, I do wish there was organic chicken but eh whatever for the price. I am ashamed of Sam's bakery! I came in on my lunch break to order a cake and neither employee spoke very good English. I don't speak any Spanish. I tried to explain what I was wanting done and she put her hand to my face and said (in the best broken English she spoke) "just look in the book". She proceeded to walk me to the book and say this was all I can do and I need to just fill out the paper and give it to the other guy, as she rushed away. I did look in the book and the way it was laid out, I wasn't sure what I could do to make the cake the way I was wanting. So with her no where to be found I asked the other person in the bakery and he proceeded to tell me he didn't know but I could try to draw it out and they could call if they didn't understand what I was trying to draw. In my opinion, if you are going to hire someone to work with the public, make sure they are bilingual and knows both languages well enough to understand what is being asked. Or at least have a translator. Needless to say, I called HEB, they took my order over the phone, were very friendly, knew what I was talking about, and even made suggestions because what I was wanting would have bled and messed up the whole focal point of the cake!
