Curb side pickup scheduled for 5pm-6pm window. At 5:30pm, when my order was still not "ready" in the app, I attempted calling the store. After 10 minutes, 2 phone calls, I was finally connected with Jacob in customer service. Jacob stated, "we've very behind... well, not very behind, but we're behind and pulling your order. Can you give us another 20 minutes or so?" I stated I could not, as my order was already 30 minutes late. Jacob wouldn't look up my order, never asked for my name. So, as Jacob (who wouldn't give his name) was especially unhelpful, I asked to speak to his boss. Several minutes later, a woman came on the line. She didn't give her name either, but did identify as a manager. Later, after becoming argumentative about Sam's being now 45 minutes late, I directly asked for her name "Lily." Lily Ted the same line as Jacob. My order didn't walk out of the door until 6:04pm! Jesus strolled out with my order and continued to hang out next to my car for several additional minutes to eaves drop on my phone calls to corporate. Mark, corporate, could not have been nicer. I was livid! I told Mark everything and simply asked for a refund of the remaining time on my membership as I refused to continue shopping at Sam's after this experience. Total call time: 45 minutes! I requested Mark remain on the line while I checked my groceries. I took images of the molded produce, damaged dry goods, and damaged bakery items. Mark went above and beyond and refunded my my total $108 membership fee. Mark was able to hear me go in and talk to Jacob as well as Lily. Both Jacob and Lily were confrontational when I asked for a refund for molded and damaged groceries. I made sure to keep Mark on the phone so corporate is aware of what happens in NM stores. Jacob couldn't refund the 3 damaged items. Lily came and offered replacements multiple times despite me clearly stating, "I want a refund for damage and inedible grocery items." Lily decided to go a step further and state that I was asking for a full refund, $184 in items! The best part, Mark (recorded corporate phone call) was able to hear all of this. The only thing Mark was unable to see was the foul looks and eye rolling from Lily. Lily encountered the same issue Jacob did and couldn't figure out how to refund for the 3 inedible grocery items - Lily processed a full refund of $184 for items that had a value of about $25! I requested a paper receipt for my records. All together, Sam's lost $300 today. They also lost any future business I would certainly have given them as a member. All due to Lily's confrontational approach to "customer service" and their inability to lead a shift. I cannot directly fault Jesus and Jacob if their example is someone like Lilly who raises their voice towards customers, speaks over customers when they have a comment, and deliberately pulls molded produce - Lilly stated over the phone she would pull my cold items as that was all that was left to be done when I spoke to her at 5:45pm! Molded food can cause serious health issues up to and including death. I'm already disabled. Was Lily trying to kill a customer?! While I appreciate the end result, this never should have happened. I shouldn't have to examine my products before leaving the parking lot. Nor should I have to repeatedly demand a refund/escalate above the store level. That's the culture though for Walmart/Sam's. read more

Sam's Club self check out is truly "self" check out. They do not have associates available to help if there is a problem or concern. I've had issues several times. Once I had to yell to get someone's attention. "Costco" has at least two associates stationed at the self checkout all the time. If there's an issue, they're on it in less than 30 seconds. They even help with the check out. Sam's Club needs to up their game to complete. read more

I recently joined Sam's Club as they had a promotional deal. I tested out the membership by ordering a few things online and shopping in store. The in-store experience was mediocre. If the clothing items are on sale, many of their signs are not clearly marked. The clothing section is messy. They lack organic foods. I ordered a few clothes online and it arrived to my house in an unsealed bag that was just thrown by the gate. I returned a few of the jewelry items that I had ordered online as well. I stood in the regular return line and was told to go to the jewelry section to return them. There was no teller at the jewelry section and it took them about 10 minutes to come there because they were short on staff. Then, their system was not working properly and a return that should have taken about 30 seconds literally took 30 minutes. The unfortunate teller kept apologizing for the incompetent system. Their website is also very slow and never updated properly. It seems that Sam's Club does not value efficiency, organization, quality or customer service. I will definitely be canceling my membership when the one year mark has been reached. I do not recommend them and would rather go with Costco. read more

When I need to purchase paper towels, toilet paper or other items I need to get a good deal as bulk I know I can trust that Sam club will have it. Customer service is lacking but it can always be improved. The store for the most part is clean. Safety hazards are always in use when they moving merchandise. There is this nice older man that wears glasses and is often bringing in the carts. I would say that cart attendant demonstrates the best exceptional customer service and always makes you feel welcoming. He does it with so much grace and when I was injured of my wrist he even made him self more available and helped me load my items into my car. read more

I ordered Cottonelle wipes and received expired French's Crispy Fried Onions. I called customer service for assistance Ava they were very unprofessional, advised they didn't care about my issues. I told them I was recording their comments and they hung up on me. I then called to cancel my membership, stayed on hold as "the next in line" for 30 minutes, then that line also hung up. You know it's been several years since I've walked inside a Sam's club. Back when I used to work many moons ago at Walmart they had a deal for the Walmart employees that was quite a steal. It wasn't long after my departure from the company I also walked away from Sam's club. Anyways about a week ago T-Mobile had a deal on T-Mobile Tuesdays for a membership along with a gift card that was just too good to pass. Needless to say I now am a Sam's club member. Walking it it was a whole new experience. From the logo change to a lighter Walmart blue hue. The building the same but the inside was so different. They had a lot of great products in stock. Coming from Costco I have found the two definitely have their differences. Mainly from Costco heavily using their own brand whereas Sam's has more name brand items. Regardless both have their perks in their own way. The Sam's club bakery really goes all out with their treats to eat. They have a much wider variety of item selections. The gas well we'll see how it goes. I've always found costcos to be the best value and longest lasting. We'll see how it fairs with Sam's as I put gas the same day of my visit. If it lasts as long well hey I may give them another gander. Overall great place for great deals. read more

The fresh food here sucks. No other way to put it. I used to be a plus member but everything relatively healthy is expired and rotting. I have bought fruit and veggie smoothie for my kids-EXPIRED. Premixed salad-EXPIRED. Broccoli florets-EXPIRED. Cherry tomatoes-EXPIRED. The sad thing is that all these experiences happened on different visits spanning about a year so this is obviously a habit they have of selling expired and moldy food. We have brought this up to some employees, then the store manager then contacted corporate and guess what? NO RESPONSE! I don't believe they even care. I have since downgraded to a regular membership because I do like some of the non perishables here but I guess I didn't learn my lesson because I picked up some more produce Saturday, went to use them On Tuesday and found mold. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have since gotten a Costco membership and am very happy with their produce. My recommendation? Don't buy any fresh food here, it's probably expired or moldy. Not only will items be missing from the order, other items will still be showing in stock and they cancel the items. The only guess I have is lazy people and management who doesn't give a crap! I love this Store. Friendly employees. I use regularly the Order Online and pickup at the Store. Just choose a time within an hour time frame, usually the next day and you get a text when it's ready. Drive there, reply that you are there and then send your parking spot number. They are prompt and put the items in your truck. Contactless. I am a Prime Member and order a lot online too. Free Shipping with the higher membership. They also have great gas prices. You can often find memberships on Groupon for $8 a year, it would be worth it just to get gas. read more

Well, I went and ordered my daughters cake for her 3rd birthday in advance 4 weeks ago. I called make sure everything was going to be ready by 5/29 and was told they couldn't find my order then they found it and did it for the wrong date,a week before.so I had to put in a new order , I asked if the party trays I ordered were going to be ready as well and was told by the lady "more then likely they have those for you" "that's another department " well the day came and I was there to get the cake.only for it not to be ready yet, and my party trays not even started or found!!! AUTO TIRES & SERVICES: I had a great deal on 4 Michelin tires for my SUV. $153/tire plus $15 installation fee/tire. Overall, I was to pay about $670 + tax, but they had a promo that will take $70 off if 4 Michelin tires were bought. The friendly and knowledgeable cashier also offered a free battery check which I agreed to. But looking at the receipt, I don't think it was done which I don't mind because I recently had my battery replaced at the dealership anyways. When you buy tires from Sam's Club, it comes with attractive perks such as: lifetime free tire balance and rotation and tire repairs (until 2/32nds or less of tires remaining), road hazard protection, no-charge waste tire disposal, 3 years of unlimited emergency tire change service with inflated spare tire, etc. They paged me when they were done which did not take too long. While retrieving my car keys, I noticed they also had ongoing service offer on headlight renewal where they clean your yellowish/discolored headlights. I decided to avail this service. I wish it was mentioned by the cashier earlier. This time, the service took I think about 1.5 hour as it was already noon and the store was busier. There was already a line forming at the cashier being manned by only one employee. I was very satisfied with the headlight cleaning service which I paid $33 for. My headlights glass were sparkly clean and crystal clear like brand new! I was told not to wash the car for at least 48 hours. The service also came with limited 5 year warranty which I thought was pretty neat. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I came to retrieve my Sam's Club membership card (which I renewed online for $48) and for my Sam's Club MasterCard. They took two pictures, one for the temporary card and another one which they will send to the credit card company. I was told to expect to receive my credit card through mail in 7 to 14 days. I have no complaints other than, they were unable to turn off the autorenewal annual membership on my account. I told them I was prompted to go to Sams Club location to do this when I tried doing this online. I was instructed to call the customer service which I will do tomorrow. GROCERIES: I thought at least 30% of the items I wanted to buy had no price tags so most of the time, I did not buy them. Also Christmas-related items were scattered in different locations, like gift wrappers were in one place, tags and ribbons in another and Christmas cards were all the way on a completely different aisle (I had a hard time finding them). There were lots of food stands offering free taste of yummy foods, as it was the weekend. SAM'S CLUB CAFETERIA: They had really cheap prizes on pizza, hotdogs, etc. GAS: Very competitive prices. $1.70/gallon as of December 2015. For the discounts I got (especially from the auto services), I thought membership fee was worth it, especially for tire rotations and other services that will come with the tire and headlights warranty. The scan and go feature in the app was down so we had to wait in the ridiculously large lines since they dont have enough registers open. Then we grabbed a couple hotdog combos which are clearly priced at $1.50 just like Costco. However, unlike Costco they are ripping people off by telling them the soda fountains are down due to covid. So they are charging you 3 times as much because they are having you buy bottled drinks instead at a higher price. Its bad enough Costco has much larger hot dogs and fountain drinks that actually work but ripping people off for less and doing it under the disguise of covid is pathetic and criminal! Can you believe I trusted my wedding cake to Sam's club?!?!? But wow did they deliver. The cake was ready when I requested it, received a call earlier in the day to confirm, and the cake was absolutely gorgeous. We got so many compliments on the three tier cake as well as the sheet cake we did. Everyone loved the flavor and were amazed when we told them where we got it. So many people get uncomfortable towards the managers pressing cashiers to NOT tell MEMBERS who pay $100+ just to shop that the membership still have 6 months til renewal!?! I don't want a damn credit card so why does the cashier get a write up for not selling more debt to people? I feel bad for the employees! Poor things are trying to live and they have such a high turnover rate for employees it's scary and I don't even work there. I've seen cashiers have to apologise to managers mess ups. I caught an employee trying to sell me a damn renewal when I have half a year to go? I've had a membership to Costco for over 20 years but decided to give Sam's a try to add some variety to my weekend shopping escapades to Abq. I was hesitant to join because I loathe Wal-Mart, but a Groupon suckered me in. Bad move. Very bad move. I purchased a small laptop as a gift for Christmas but it wasn't quite what my daughter wanted so I sent my husband to return it in January; Original box, packing, and receipt in hand. Easy peasy, right? He was told by customer service that after 30 days, returns on electronics weren't accepted. This was backed up when he asked for a manager. When he asked to see store policy after telling them it was a 90 day policy on electronics, low and behold right there in black& white, on their huge sign, it indeed stated there was a 90 day return policy,even on electronics. Clearly these people don't know the basics. That wasn't the end of it....the manager then told him he couldn't return it because one time a customer returned a computer but it turned out to be a box of sand!!! Are you kidding me!! She also told him that the copied receipt he held was no good. (He copied it because the receipt paper was so thin and faded it would be easier to read, nice guy, right?) She said, "how do I know you didn't steal a bunch of computers and are now trying to return them one at a time?" Really? He said, "don't you think your computer system would catch that?" She had to acquiesce. Usually a mellow, reasonable dude, my husband was insulted and getting pretty pissed. He asked to speak to the manager's manager. She quickly refunded money back to the credit card and apologized for the idiots at the service desk including the manager. Taking over 30 minutes to return a single item, being accused of thievery & dishonest practices such as filling a box with sand, not knowing your own store policies (and having customers fill you in on them), leads me back across the street to Costco forever more. Screw you Sam's...now I know why I will never, ever, shop Wal Mart or any of their crappy big box or neighborhood stores. Went to get a membership. Wow would have thought I was asking for a sit down with the pope. Membership was a business membership for a non-profit/local govt organization. They initially made it quite difficult and I'm not sure why. It's not like this was probably their first rodeo. Overall not a good first impression. I had a blown tire in my rv on the way to Albuquerqe from El Paso. After a close inspection I realized I needed 3 new tires. I went to Sams on eubank but they didn't have the right size in stock. The gentleman checked other Sams stores and found 4 tires at this location. It was getting late but I made it to this location where I was greeted by this employee who took care of me and installed all three tires. I could tell these employees at the tire service love what they're doing and take pride in their work. Thanks guys! I already recommended a family member to buy tires at this location. We have memberships to costco and sam's. I like shopping at both. Gas is always competitive and they have some really cool items. It's a great place to get gifts for people. It's just my hub and I and we get things like toilet paper, paper towel, and bulk meats that can be separated and frozen. I like the liquor and wine selection, too. Good prices abound! read more

Horrible, horrible customer service! We tried to buy a beef tenderloin along with other ingredients for a post-Christmas dinner. Every other Sam's Club we've been to will slice it for us, except for this one. Not only did they refuse but they were quite rude about it. My mom asked to speak with a manager. Twenty minutes later, she's still waiting. She's then told that the manager's not there. She asks, "In this entire store there's not a manager?" She's told she can go to the front of the store and look for one if she wants. Unbelievable! At this point, I look at Yelp and realize there's a Sam's Club with much better reviews on Coors. Moral of the story? Always use Yelp! No exceptions! We could have avoided this nightmare of a Sam's Club from the start. read more
