Normally that would have disappointed me, but this turned out to be some of the best BBQ chicken I've had from any Indian restaurant or food truck. First of all, it was made fresh to order. The seasoning on this chicken was carefully crafted by the chef to let each spice stand out without overpowering the others. It was genuinely outstanding, great actually. In fact, it was so good that I came back on another day just to order it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. It was just as good the second time. 5/5 stars just differently amazing. My wife wants to come back, and honestly I was pretty against the idea after the first visit. Still, based on that BBQ chicken alone, I'm willing to give them another full try. If the rest of the menu improves on a second visit, I may come back and update this review with a higher score. Overall: 3/5 stars. I went to lunch after 2 PM and so of course the restaurant was not busy and truth be told, I was a little apprehensive. A waiter came up to me and sat me down and immediately brought me my beverage and explained to me how the buffet works. He also said I had the option to order off the menu. I'm always down for Indian food, especially when it's in a buffet because I can get two of my favorite things without having to order them as entrées. The buffet was pretty rich. There were quite a few options to choose, there were two kinds of rice, and then your usual popular Indian dishes, such as daal, butter chicken, palak paneer, goat curry, tandoori chicken and so much more. There was also salad, raita, fruit, and dessert. So what is the verdict? The food was amazingly delicious, and so fresh. I chose white rice flavored with a hint of cumin, daal, butter chicken, palak paneer, vegetable samosa and pakora, and tandoori chicken. The daal was so delicious. It was seasoned well with a hint of heat. The lentils were tender and the sauce was saucy. The butter chicken was very tasty. It was so rich and thick, but at the same time like a silky gravy. The tomato really came through and gave the dish a flavorful punch. The chicken was tender and shredded into bite-sized pieces. The tandoori chicken was the best I've had. The chicken consist of thighs and legs and a few white meat pieces mixed throughout. It is kept in a dish in the buffet with all of its yummy juices and grilled onions. The chicken was so flavorful and tender. It literally came off the bone. There were pieces that were charbroiled that reminded you how rustic the dish really is but also delicious! I was definitely licking my fingers!! Palak paneer is my all time favorite dish. This one was equally amazing. I felt it was a little light on the paneer but maybe that was a result of people picking through the dash for those yummy bites. Of course, I had to drizzle raita in my food and it really added another layer of yum! The buffet comes with a garlic or plain naan. I went with the garlic one and it was buttery and garlicky, and really good. The dough was pliable and soft and made with whole grain flour because it was rustic and hearty. I am definitely going back to this place and I hope that I get an opportunity to go back soon. The buffet is offered every day, and during the week it is approximately $17 and does not include a beverage. On the weekends, the buffet is approximately $19 and the beverage is included. The waiter also told me that they add additional dishes to the buffet on the weekend. The restaurant itself is a pretty good size so it can definitely accommodate large parties. One side of the restaurant had a partition so it can accommodate a private party. There was also a full service bar, and a hallway with bathrooms. The restaurant was very clean and formal. There were cloth table cloths and napkins, as well as a place setting on each table- classy all the way! If you are sensitive to spicy foods, even mild standards for this type of food is spicy, I would consider ordering off the menu and making sure your wait staff knows that you don't like anything spicy.
