The bao buns were very soft and loaded with flavor. I had the spicy pork and I wouldn't consider it spicy but it was bursting with umami. The wife had the shorty and said it tasted just like the fries but in a steamed bun. I also had the chashu but it was lacking compared to the other two. If we were to come back while visiting family we would probably get two orders of the loaded fries. The fries were super crisp and had a giant portion of short ribs, green sauce, and cilantro with radishes. The green sauce is a very unique combo of flavors but isn't spicy. The only downside today was they were out of drinks but were able to go inside York and get some water. Regardless the service was super quick and we hope to be back while visiting.

I'm used to having stuffed baos rather than an open taco shaped bun. The bread material (??idk what to call it) was so light and fluffy. It held up well for my dive home. We ordered the shrooms. Chicken. Bahn Mi and shorty. Hands down some of the best food I've ordered. It was light and savory. Vibes were so nice outside. Good sitting area. Can't wait to come back

After looking at different caterers, we chose Pizza Replicator to cater the party of 85. We were having trouble working with the venue to allow the caterer to find a place to cook the pizzas. Max contacted the venue and worked out all the details. On the day of the event, he and his staff arrived promptly and started with the appetizers which were outstanding. Once he transitioned to pizza, the pizzas were continuously replaced until everyone had eaten. Everyone raved about the food. We couldn't be happier about hiring Max and his team and couldn't recommend him enough.

In New York, slices are for folding and eating while on the go, because... well... I guess that's what capitalism does to you. Pizza Replicator is replicating none of these pizzas. Nope. It's just a Star Trek TNG inspired pizza concept where Max Sussman gets to have a little bit of fun with seasonal ingredients, dough, and some portable pizza ovens. Personally, I love to support pizza innovation. Max's pizza is about as good as it can be considering it's cooked up in the back of a coffee shop on any given Sunday. More than anything, I want Max to get a permanent home here in A2 with a legit Neapolitan oven where he can really get some better color on the bottoms of those pies. I've had a few of these so far. Italian sausage with pepperoncini, provolone, and broccoli rabe. Brussels and guanciale with aged gouda, fresh mozzarella, and garlic. Soujouk and Za'atar with onion and green zhug. Asparagus and gruyere with meyer lemon, caramelized onion, and pine nuts. Spanish Chorizo, manchego, roasted peppers. My favorite one to date was the meyer lemon. Dang, that was deliciously unexpected! But those crispy nuggets of guanciale were dynamite too! Ultimately, these are designed to be take out pies, and I'm just not a take out pizza kinda guy. Because I believe pizza is best when it's fresh hot now, I grab my pie, b-line to my parked car, and eat the pizza in the driver's seat like a savage beast. Even when I have shown up early for my scheduled pizza pick up, I have had little luck in getting super hot pies with crisp edges and well colored bottoms. Recently I learned that one can request the pizza "well done" and I am looking forward to giving that a try. But I love the culinary creativity and I am happy to keep trying Max's new pies when my Sunday schedule lines up with available pizza slots. One has to keep an eye on the Pizza Replicator Instagram page and move quickly, because these things sell out. I have gotten over my FOMO, and am happy to simply sample these pizzas when the stars align. Which, you know, is why I'm comfortable to share this with the Yelp Community. Max's efforts are hardly a secret as they were just recently covered in the food press. But yet there is no listing on Yelp?

They had vinyl jazz playing, which i noticed but was second nature to her... We were greeted, told to order from the table, and he would bring it out. We got a whole bunch of stuff to try out... She got catfish and curly fries, which she loved. I got a larger sea food boil with every seasoning, it was great -- a bit small for what i thought the price was but for the taste i'm not complaining. We ordered hush puppies as an appetizer, and i had to hear from her that they were "good" but it's not how she would make them, blah blah blah.... Southern people and their soul food, everyone has a hot take. With that said, she ate most of them. We also had a fried basket appetizer which was catfish nuggets, shrimp, and clams i think -- also very good. Lastly, no picture on this one, but we got a blackened alfredo to go --- and it was also very tasty. We have been back twice since our initial visit. Amazing food, and come to find out the employee that was helping us, was the only one who works there... it was overall impressive, tasty, and we'll be back more.

The jambalaya is vegan until you add meat to it, they have vegan beignets (though they sell out fast, so make sure to place your order early). It's a very cute space with reasonable prices and hope it stays put!

We were pleased there was live piano music in the beautiful wood ceilinged dining room. Our server gave us a brief history of the Weber's restaurant and gave us time to produce the menu after delivering our drinks. We couldn't agree on any appetizers so we stuck with just the bread plate. There was a lovely salmon spread, and butter. Some of the bread was toasted with garlic butter and some was soft. I can't say the bread was the best part of the meal, my preference is for a crusty artisan loaf. Salads came with each of the entrees, although son doesn't eat salad he didn't order soup either. My husband and I ate all three salads. He ordered the Cobb, I had kale and the third was the house salad which was very pleasant with dried cranberries and raspberry vinaigrette. Both men ordered the 8 ounce filet mignon, medium rare, which came with carrots and mashed potatoes. The steaks were perfectly prepared. They let me taste a sliver and it was very tender! The carrots however were not very tender, and could have used a little more time on the heat. Son also ordered a side of roasted asparagus, it was perfect crisp tender and they left the bread crumbs in a dish on the side without even me asking. We didn't eat any of them! I ordered the miso sea bass, which had the same carrots but a side of butter soy sushi rice. I loved the sear on the fish, it was a very simple preparation that let the quality meat show through. The rice was delicious and I ate most my carrots. After slowly sipping my delicious large $20 Meiomi Pinot Noir through dinner, I developed a sweet tooth and attempted to order a creme brulee for dessert. The men were too full of bread, steak and multiple salads to have dessert. Our server warned us that there was only one creme brulee left earlier that evening, and they were likely out. Indeed, as requested she promptly brought the check without dessert. A chocolate pudding at home for me, oh well....we were all stuffed anyway! The quality of food is excellent at Weber's, and the service was on point. We did not feel rushed but because we didn't order multiple courses we were in and out pretty quickly. I think I would like savor the time better with a leisurely happy hour in the bar on a weekday next time.

There are a few things that one should note right off the bat:…read more 1) Ypbor Yan moved buildings a couple of years ago, so old reviews that discus the interior space are very much outdated. 2) Their new sign reads Ypbor FM as they have a *F*ood *M*useum in the entry way, but the "museum" is both easy to overlook and certainly not the main draw of the business. 3) Look at the most popular dishes on Yelp and take many of the reviews with a few grains of salt. Why? This is a Sichuan restaurant, and while they may offer sweet and sour chicken, almond boneless chicken, and whatever other American-Chinese dishes you fancy, those in the know come for the distinctive numbing ma-la spice of the region. Southeast Michigan, being in the midwest, is generally lacking in really traditionally fiery foods. As such, Ypbor was such a delightful change of pace I was tempted to give the place five stars. However, that desire was really about the cuisine and not the execution. The food is good to be sure, I'm going to return again and again, but there are definitely elements that are lacking. While I do not want to linger on the negative, the noodles could be improved, the dan-dan was super wet and more like a soup, and while the salt miner's chicken was fine and I'm glad I tried it once, it's decidedly not a must order dish. That said, the Sichuan poached fish is great. I was also absolutely charmed by the Spicy Chinese Broccoli in a Wok, which while under the vegetable section contains a generous amount of sliced pork belly. Part of the charm was that this was not the "Chinese Broccoli" I was expecting. The broccoli itself was more like traditional broccoli, but white in color. Flavors, textures, and heat were all fantastic. The menu is long, and I'm looking forward to exploring more of it. Perhaps there is a way to make a 5* meal from the options, and nothing would make me happier than to share that with you all at some point down the road. Until then, I recommend checking out the newer, cleaner, friendlier Ypbor, and getting outside of your comfort zone with trying legit Sichuan foods. Just remember, everything is intended for family style eating, so one entree for every two people is plenty. Leftovers are fine, but this food is always better when it's freshly prepared, as opposed to traditional "Chinese Takeout" which some might argue was never really all that great in the first place.

Phenomenal authentic Chinese cuisine; they have a Chinese-American menu too, but I highly recommend that you order off the authentic Chinese menu. I had a fantastic bowl of hot & sour soup along with pork in fish-fragrant sauce and stir-fried Chinese broccoli. The pork was outstanding and contrary to its name, fish-fragrant sauce does not contain any fish; it is a sweet, sour and spicy sauce which gives the sauce its name. And Chinese broccoli is one of my favorite veggies; or the greens were so vibrant. Great hot and sour soup and pot of hot tea too! This restaurant is so clean and welcoming! I am adding this establishment to my rotation and will return soon!
