I am so pleased I stopped by here. I donated plasma on Saturday evening, and I was already running on empty (not the brightest idea, I'll admit). This place is open late, and nothing else was available at 10:00pm in Santa Monica because it's, well, Santa Monica. This place was so cute and had a liquor store right next door (I'm sober, but I made note for my normie homies). All I wanted was a pepperoni pizza, and I ordered one for literally $16 dollars - which is an insanely good price in 2026 in Santa Monica. This pie was made to order, and it was so yummy, cheesy, and delicious - I loved it, the crust was crunchy and soft, a little too thick for my taste, but honestly till good. I nearly ate the entire thing in one sitting, so the crust couldn't have been THAT thick. The owners were so kind, sweet and helpful. They clearly CARE about their customers and their food, they put a lot of work into their service and their food and it shows. I am very pleased to have found this spot, and I will continue to come and get affordable pies, and next time I'll 100% be getting the motz sticks. They said that on their site there are deals, sometimes you can get the motz sticks for free with an order of a pizza. WHAT?! Can't wait to go back and try other things here. Excellent pizza place with reasonable price and good portion. The staff was kind and passionate in what he does. I ordered one 14" capricciosa pizza and one 14" Margherita pizza. Personally I like the rich creamy texture and mushroom toppings on the capricciosa (marinara, mozzarella, hams, mushroom, olives). Margherita pizza was better than some of the other pizza places I visited, but I wish the crust and dough could be a bit thinner, more cheese and wish there is fresh basil on the pizza. Not many places are open at 4:00 a.m.. I couldn't sleep and craved pizza. Thankfully this establishment was still open. I ordered and it quickly arrived. The crust was excellent. And the ends were so crispy and thin that even the ends which I usually toss were more than edible. I would have given 5 Stars if the sauce was more flavorful. I ordered from here to enjoy some food along with a movie. The movie was amazing, but the pizza was disappointing. We had spent some time looking for a new place to try since we were tired of ordering from the same spot. In hindsight, we should have stuck with our original choice, Forma, because their pizza is much tastier. Both the Hawaiian and the supreme pizzas lacked tomato sauce, which made them taste like dry bread with too much cheese. The cheese itself wasn't very good either and didn't taste fresh. I was working in the area and saw glowing reviews for SaMo pizza, but I think the reviews were for previous ownership? Some other reviewer said this place was sold and is under new ownership from an Indian gentlemen that was very nice and welcoming when I walked in. Now for the food review. I wanted to get pizza by the slice but saw the cabinet was limited to just cheese and pepperoni, so I decided to just order a 12" supreme pizza. The toppings were loaded up but I felt the pizza was a bit dry and lacking in some tomato sauce. The dough tasted a little bit on the sweeter side of things. Pizza was oddly cut into 4 slices that made for a giant slice and sort of difficult to eat. I would've cut this 12" into 6 slices! Damage was $23 for a 12" pizza and Mandarin Jarrito. Decor was very clean and modern. The new owner was very nice and professional but I ended up only enjoying one slice out of the whole pizza. read more

Came here after an afternoon at Santa Monica Pier STARVING! It was fairly empty with places to sit inside or outside. The restaurant was clean with all the fixings you could want! I even got additional sides of buffalo and ranch! The Pizza itself was unbelievable- the owner made it right then and there! Talk about fresh!! I've come here a few times and SaMo Pizza has become my go-to pizza spot on the west side. In my most recent experience, I dined in with a handful of friends one evening around 7:30/8 pm. We were able to arrange one of the tables outside with chairs to seat all of us and ordered two pies to split among us all. I don't think we waited longer than 20 minutes after ordering until the pies were ready for us to enjoy. I've ordered takeout a few times from here as well and it's always such a solid pizza. As I'm from NY, I don't tend to eat pizza much out here in LA as I prefer a no frills slice (and no long lines or crazy hype tyvm). SaMo pizza would have my vote if just for that, but the pizza is delicious too! read more
