I adore Sami's so much. I have been twice and the food is always so good. This was my first time with the stone pot and I love it. My food was sizzling for the entire duration of the meal. I loved it. The service was great and the staff is always so nice and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is very lowkey and great for an intimate/friendly meetup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will most definitely return.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was nice and the place was quaint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The soup I got was really good and the Kalbi was good too. The ban Chan was missing flavor though and the mandu was okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall a decent place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sami's is still a good Korea restaurant, but the atmosphere is less authentic now compared to a mamasan, back alley restaurant in a small town in Korea as it was 7 years ago.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The yaki / dumpling was over fried, beef bulgogi wasn't as flavorful, and the restaurant is missing the smell of Korea. Still a good place to grab Korean, but needs to bring back its authenticness. Service was still good.

Came here while vacationing in Virginia. Ordered 2 hot stone, one cold bibimbap, and tofu soup which came out to ~$60. Food was delicious and came out fast. Good eats!

Korean cuisine is my absolute favorite, so I have been searching for something closer to home. Luckily Sami's is right around the corner on Big Bethel Road and serves up traditional, savory, and delicious food. Prices have increased and will be subject to change as explained to me, but the menu I posted is up to date as of June 2024. Inside has a decent amount of seating space and the noise level inside is minimal, if not quiet. The service provided while we waited was very hospitable and the owner is sweet. Husband ordered kalbi and I ordered pork bulgogi (spicy) costing $51 in total before tip. Both dishes came with banchan and white rice which they used foil to separate from the meat, so you might not see it in the pictures but it's there lol. The portions are just right. My husband has been craving for months, so the kalbi was gone within minutes while I savored every bite of my bulgogi. Flavors were just right and the side dishes complimented both meals perfectly. Sami's Korean Restaurant hit the spot for us. We'll see you soon!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very small quaint location - it honestly felt like a Korean family setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was absolutely delicious - and the service as full of compliments and plating to encourage us to eat up lol. I will surely be back to experience as this was my first experience at a Korean Restaurant!

I love this hole in the wall restaurant. The good is authentic, hot, and fresh. The lady who always serves is always so nice, and goes the extra mile for my kids. She will bring them fruit and snacks. So very nice. Me and my family had a great meal. So good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's always busy during dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The customer service was lovely, the nice lady helping me with my order was overall welcoming and kind! The food was delicious and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the comfortable atmosphere made everything perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are fair and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is well kept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be going again, 10/10.

I loved the customer service provided by the ladies. I told her it was my first time there and she explained everything to me pertaining to the menu and the specials they had. The beef bulgogi was very flavorful and tender. It has a slight sweet taste marinated throughout the meat. The dumplings were very good as well. My only complaint is the sauce is a little too salty for me. I would prefer a sweet n sour sauce with that but overall still good! My Dad loved his food as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean and quiet setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were the only ones dining in. Had a few takeout orders while we were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be back!

Sami's has consistently surprised and surpassed my expectations. I've come here a few times; the most recent visit was with my mom. She had the bulgogi, which I've had here before and was delicious. I recommended it to her. I had the bibimbap which was a 10/10. Seriously amazing. I put the kimchi in the bowl along with the sauce too, which made it soooo good. I ate the entire bowl, my sides and my moms sides. It was that good. My mom told everyone about Sami's that day too, she really loved her beef bulgogi. You can definitely taste the wok on the meat. I keep thinking about the food and I plan to go back to get the same dishes and try new things. I highly recommend this Korean restaurant!

Little known gem my co-worker found... Small Korean restaurant with a great menu full of delicious options, and the servers are very friendly but make sure you have time for lunch as this place gets really busy. Great for a large or small group, this restaurant offers traditional Korean fare accompanied with all the banchan that usually comes with a Korean meal. Restaurant has a LARGE menu to choose from, and everything we ordered came out perfectly cooked and was mouthwateringly delicious. Swing by, try this place out. It will remind you of Korea and all the delicious food served there! Ambiance: very casual Cleanliness: clean (no tables left dirty) Cost: low to medium (lunch $10-20 based on options) Customer service: excellent, friendly

I felt comfortable and engrossed in conversation with the staff and other patrons in a way that had me coming back the next night for dinner again. All too often, the sports-pub vibe will let you down, but this place takes each item on its menu seriously and cares considerably about what they're plating in front of you. It makes me feel like something special is happening in that kitchen like the show "The Bear." If the bartenders ask you if you want the potato salad as your side because it's made in house, then trust him. He's telling you this for a reason because you're about to embark on a culinary experience of a lifetime. What I assume is typically a college bar, this place is quite a wonderful little find. Mind you, I happened to come through on two evenings during the summer holidays so maybe the vibe is different in October but I can't recommend it more based on my experience.

I came in for lunch today with 2 teenagers. We ordered a large cheese pizza. Not one of us ate a 2nd piece. The cheese and sauce were both pretty flavorless but the crust was really weird; like eating a double layer of cardboard. The bottom of the crust was pretty well-cooked, almost burnt, so maybe that's why. It was tough and flavorless. Not at all like any other brick- fired pizza I've had. Would not recommend.

This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!
