Service was good, very nice servers. Food was pretty good- a little on the greasy side for the breakfast special. Hubby had a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and sausage. This is a Coney restaurant folks, it's not a five star restaurant... no one's going to run over and attend to your every need. They're short staffed a lot of times. There is a no refund policy because I personally live in Taylor and everyone complains about everything... as seen in these bitter reviews. It's decent food for a decent price. I just wish they opened a little earlier in the morning so I could get a breakfast to go. I would suggest the crispy chicken salad... Or any one of their breakfasts. read more

I placed an to-go here while I was on break from work. The service was great and fast. My food was ready in about 6 minutes. I ordered a regular breakfast with scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and wheat toast and they were so nice to make into a breakfast sandwich for me. I appreciated that. It's so hard to find a proper Club Sandwich that I grew up on, Sami's has it. Proper Club Sandwich is Ham Turkey Bacon Mater's with Lettuce, most places leave out the damn Ham. This place has the regular Club or for a buck more a proper Club both on the menu. Every meal here is under $10 a great reason we visit often. Just look at the Chicken Kabob Dinner $9.95 it's outstanding Delicious . We shared a bowl of a fantastic Split Pea Soup WOWED. I don't know how anyone could bring themselves to eat in this place. A lazy bus boy just wiped our table and upon sitting there was a fly buzzing around and down half of the table looked like hand prints in snot. Their food is not good what so ever I've ordered from here a few times. The omelet I ordered was flavorless and runny, my burger was less than pleasant and the fries are ALWAYS soggy every single time. The only thing I'd order from here are the wings or a coney dog it's hard to mess that up. read more

I placed a takeout order on Friday morning and the service from the moment the lady answered the phone was discouraging, let alone the amount of time she left me on hold. She was in such a rush to take my order that I had to repeat it to her a few times. Go to pick up my order only to wait 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that I was there for pick up. All the while looking at my order just sitting there getting cold. Mind you there were other patrons waiting as well that hadn't been helped. When she finally came over her words were "what do you need?" She seemed as if we the patrons were bothering her! My food sat there so long that it was cold. The staff was very busy but barely anyone here but it was still pretty quick service, I had a New York Coney Dog and the Coney Island special, and the chili cheese fries. The Coney Island special had ground beef in it which was delicious and the New York dog had Sauer kraft on it which was delicious and the cheese fries used Nacho Cheese, everything was really good and I would definitely go back there again. read more

I have no complaints. This Samis breakfast is so good I ordered extra extra cheese in my eggs and they are the best I've had in a long time coming from a restaurant kitchen. I have been patronizing this restaurant since it opened several years ago and I was shocked today when I found a bread clip in my food and their response was of little to no concern. I had eaten half my food and that was enough to grant me a measly 10% discount. I could have choked on it. They should have compensated the meal. She told me that's all other restaurants do. That is not true. My wife and children have worked family restaurants for years. My wife did for 38 years before becoming a culinary supervisor at Oakwood Main Hospital in Dearborn and then at Henry Ford Main where she retired. Being compensated for something like this is automatic. If they had any doubt, all they had to do is check their bread clips for a match. All these years to treat a regular customer like that. Or anybody for that matter. I will never go in there again and wouldn't recommend them either. A Pastor friend was with me and said he'll never eat there again as well. She said they could have made it over. Why? So I could get the other half of the bread clip? No way! The revenue they'll lose now from us two alone will far exceed the 8 bucks they charged me. We also bring friends with us when we do go. Not any more. If you eat there, good luck. No telling what could be in your food and they won't care! read more

Ive been here plenty of times and have had a great experience but never again after today. Food came cold waited over 20 min For the waitress, she finally come over with the owner we asked the owner politely to take the order back because it was cold and not what we orderd and got nothing but an attitude saying we don't take our food back and refused to take it off the bill. Not gonna lie, this place isn't winning any taste awards. BUT everything is always hot and exactly how you expect it. The service is great - we go every week, and the waitresses know my kids' names, and 1 even starts out drink order before we sit down. Food comes out fast and always great portions. Sami's is pretty affordable and enjoyable, but I do find their chili to taste a little bit off to me. I am a big fan of anything else on the menu though as I've had stuff from omelettes to burgers to subs here and it's generally alright. Service is pretty friendly and immediate too so there is that as well. read more

There coney's are good but their salads are great. Prices are good and service is always quick.
