The latte was good but not quite as flavorful as others I've tried. I heard them recommending a brown sugar latte and I might try that next time. There are a lot of thoughtful touches to this cafe like a nice little prayer room at the back. The staff was friendly and helpful. And I heard two cops ahead of me in line praising their coffee as being so much better than others, so those are all great signs.

There are a LOT of American choices on here (like sugary pancakes) but a third of the menu consists of Yemeni food. We had a big breakfast that morning, so we chose to just share the lahm sighar ($20), which comes with a piece of khuba bread, and also order an additional khuba bread ($2). About 15 minutes later, our food was ready and after taking the necessary pictures, we dug in! Needless to say, the extra bread was not necessary. I don't know what we were thinking but we assumed a piece of khuba was small. Nope! Each piece is the size of my 17-inch computer. Anyway, we used bits of the khuba as silverware to pick up the deliciously tender lahm sighar, something I saw others do when I went inside to use the bathroom and nosily looked around. I must mention that the BATHROOM HAS A BIDET. I REPEAT. BATHROOM HAS A BIDET!!!! Hehe :) seeing it just made me happy lol. Space to borrow a book, game or puzzle; a larger area for meetings or for a study group and a few seats at the counter by the window. It's pretty dark in the main area so if you have "old" eyes like me, you'll probably have better luck in the bigger space. If you're looking for a quick cuppa, this isn't the spot. Drinks are made to order so it takes a min and I'm not sure if the staff (for food prep) is fully trained and/or just REALLY new because that area seemed like it was struggling.
