A nice but small Thai restaurant. You must be prepared for an overwhelming noise level that requires everyone to yell. I had the phat kee mao and it was very tasty, but an additional cost for tofu is kind of ridiculous. It should already come with it given the price and size of the dish.

The food was fresh, the rice was a little soggy, there wasn't a lot of food because the takeout container was only half full for $17 per dish. The vegetables were too hard for me and the cucumbers were sliced really thick so I had to really bite through it. The sauce was spicy even though it didn't say it was spicy so I suffered eating it. So if you like spicy food that's not labeled spicy and you're OK with the food portion, then this is a good place to go. The tofu was fried just right and it tasted good but there wasn't enough of it.

Don't usually go out to eat Thai food but the aesthetics of this place drove me in. We went on a rainy day, they had dim lights with bright neon signs. I'd describe this place as pretty hipster and cozy. As for the food, I think it's pretty standard Thai food for its price. To my surprise, the standout dish was the papaya salad. It was incredibly citrusy and juicy, each bite just bursting with flavor. I would come back just for this lol, it's seriously addicting.. I also realllly enjoyed pad Thai, probably my favorite Thai entrees. Definitely 10/10 too. I unfortunately do not recommend the fried chicken dish we recommended because it was dry, and sauce didn't help it. The phat kee mao was good but I do agree with some of my friends that there was a bit of a specific smell... could possibly be fish sauce? It wasn't bad. I was pleasantly surprised to find mango sticky rice on their seasonal menu. It wasn't listed on the main menu online, but appeared separately on a table menu. I was excited to give it a try! It wasn't bad but not the best I had (Considering it had fruity pebbles on it). Service was excellent. We had an incident that was addressed really quickly (our fault) and they were just super profesh!

What a great spot for a late summer dinner! They have a back patio, front patio, and open up the front walls to even make the inside feel like you're still outside. Cocktails were good - I had an espresso martini. A tad sweet, so if that's a thing for you, just ask for a little less sweetness. Our server helped me decide between two dishes. I went with her recommendation, and my new favorite dish, Khao Soi Gai. It was the perfect level of spicy for me with noodles in this creamy coconut based curry liquid gold. I loved it! Easy to eat here if you're dairy free/lactose intolerant, vegetarian, etc. Bring some friends and get here soon!

My boyfriend and I were in town visiting friends for a long weekend. I've been to Chicago too many times to count but we always stay in Lakeview East - which is my favorite neighborhoods in Chicago. We made our way to Roscoe Village to visit some friends who moved there last summer. We walked a few blocks from their place. It was rainy cold November evening in Chicago so Thai food sounded really good. Same Same isnt very big but a mighty menu, very quiet and quaint. We started with the French Fries and Geow Tod. The french fries were crispy and had this spicy sriracha powder on top - it elevated the fries. Made them that much better! The Geow Tod was really good, the filling had great flavor and a great crispy texture. I would order these again, no doubt! The service was really good, I wish I remembered her name she was a really good server! For my entrée I ordered the Khao Phat Muu Krob, it was fried rice with a fried egg on top and pork belly. The bowl was very flavorful, some of the best fried rice i've ever had. The rice bowl hit the spot, warm and flavorful was exactly what i was looking for! Cannot wait to come here again!

I was excited to try this spot. We sat on the back patio and unfortunately encountered a number of rats in our eyesight, with a few large ones running across the patio creating a bit of flustered scare. At first it was funny but then sort of lost my appetite. The food itself was ok, the chicken a little dry.

We ate so well here! Delightful little patio area hidden in back. Our food was awesome (I forgot to get pics of our entrees, but we got one noodle dish and one rice dish and loved both) and our server was super nice and helpful even though it was her first day on the job. So lovely! Will definitely return.

Phat See Ew - Lunch + Shrimp Spring Rolls. Liked the rolls much better than the Phat See Ew.

Generally, fine, but nothing to write home about. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the restaurant offers a relaxed vibe, which is nice. Seats were comfortable inside, and they offer outdoor seating. Service was good and attentive as well. As for the food - I like everything but my entree. I ordered 2 shrimp spring rolls, the lunch phat see ew, and a Thai iced tea. The rolls were crunchy and had a large amount of shrimp in it, which was nice. The Thai iced tea is really good as well; it tastes how you'd think such would taste. The Phat See Ew was the most disappointing for me, as it didn't really have any flavor in it. If I do go back, I'll order something else.

Came here for lunch, it's a great little thai restaurant that's very cozy. The fries were super well seasoned and came with a really yummy sauce. We got the khao phat (which was my favorite), green curry, and phat kaphrao. All of which were very flavorful and not too spicy for my taste. Everything was incredibly reasonably priced, and definitely worth trying it out.

Got delivery from here and sadly it was the worst Thai food I've ever had. The Khao Soi was super bland with no spice. The soft noodles were alright but the crunchy noodles were soggy. The Phat Kee Mao was not as bad as the Khao Soi but it was too savory. The only flavor I got was that umami but it was overdone. The veggies and noddles were just fine. Overall, just no complexity in the dishes and the flavor that was there wasn't enjoyable.

Our group arrived at 8:45pm on a Thursday and sat outside on the patio since we had a pup. It's always great when establishments are dog friendly! Since we arrived fairly late, we were told that the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes. We quickly put in our orders and were so excited when our food came out just 10 minutes later! Everything we ordered was delicious and authentic. We ordered beef panang curry, Khao Phat Muu Krob, and Phat kee mao. I only wish my panang curry came with more beef! Overall a great experience and would definitely go back!

Food was pretty okay. We sat at the bar and the bartender was pretty cool and attentive. Gave me a new drink when the one I initially got was way too strong. We got the Thai fried chicken with fries. Fries were amazing, chicken was pretty okay. The pad se ew was also okay. Not the best, but this wasn't a traditional Thai spot so I'm not surprised. I'm not sure if I would be back. The food was just okay.

What vegan options do y'all have?

Our Green Curry, Phat Thai, Phat Kee Mao, Buddha Bowl are all great vegan options :)

Is this place able to accommodate a dairy allergy? No butter, milk, cream etc.

You're in luck, we only have dairy in two items and it can easily be omitted. 😁

Do you have gluten free options?

Yes we do! Our green and panang curry are natural gluten free along with our Buddha bowl. Both our noodle dishes can be prepared gluten free.

What dishes are vegetarian or can be made that way? Thank you!

Both of our noodle dishes, the Buddha bowl, and the green curry can be vegetarian. Along with a few snack options.

I am planning a bday dinner her with some friends on a Sat night. I noticed from their website ,reservations are only accepted for parties of 8 or more. My party size will be slightly under that. How long can we expect to wait for a table?

They have been pretty busy on the weekends. I had a party of 3 this past Saturday around 6:30 and we snagged the last table at the time. About 4 couples came in after us and each had to wait about 15-20 minutes.

    Is this place baby friendly?

    Definitely!

Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. Vibing to Black Eyed Peas on a Monday night never felt better. Imma be... back one day, rest assured. I genuinely can't wait for the next time I'm greeted with, "Welcome back."

Maybe going shortly after a trip to Italy ruined me a little lol, but I didn't fully understand the hype. The pasta was good, just not life-changing. I've honestly had better pasta elsewhere in Chicago. The agnolotti was my favorite. I liked the balance of flavors with the ricotta filling, although I thought the roe was a little unnecessary. It could've used a different topping or supplement that complemented the dish better. The pierogies were also pretty good. They had decent flavor and were cooked well (actually al dente, which I appreciated). The sauce itself was good, but it wasn't distributed evenly, so some bites had much more flavor than others. The carbonara was just okay to me. It lacked flavor, and I wish the sauce had been thicker and more cohesive. It broke. I did appreciate that the pasta was properly cooked, but overall, I thought all of the sauces could've been seasoned better. I might come back to try some of the other dishes, but I'm not exactly rushing to make another reservation.
