I took an advise for choosing two dishes from a staff and the taste of sandwiches was addictive. It was a very new taste for me but I liked it a lot, although I really regret eating the second dish (something like beans and porks)...The staffs are nice. highly recommend

We were looking for a local café to have a late breakfast / early lunch in, and a shop owner recommend this spot. I am so glad we went. The café is inviting and cozy and has a European café ambience. The space is small, but comfortable. This is a family-run restaurant, and was founded in 2002. I was curious about the unique name. They mentioned it was a popular saying in Asia that means while their ambience is a relaxed casual café, they are different in having a passion for creating quality food experiences. Everything on the menu is made from scratch in their kitchen. They use only locally sourced ingredients, which means the menu is seasonal and changes often. I loved that they had a breakfast and brunch menu that went until 4pm on the weekend! My friend ordered a burger with chips and I chose a breakfast sandwich - similar to an eggs benedict. The food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavor. The chips were of course heaven. I couldn't resist I took some from my friends plate! They had a great selection of local ciders, so I tried one. It was very good. Also, their coffee was very good. Don't miss that! In the evenings you can enjoy dinner here. They have a wine list, and offer a tapas focused menu. I hope to return to Bath and experience their dinner here.

Very cute atmosphere I had Eggs Picante which were excellent. I'm originally from Louisiana and loved the Tabasco addiction to this dish. It's cute, accessible and centrally located and had a local vibe! I'd come back here regularly for breakfast if I lived here.

Service is friendly and the atmosphere peaceful. Stopped in for dinner after a long day of traveling! Was very happy with my experience! I love that they offer so many tapas I was able to try a little bit of a few of their dishes! They also serve a few desserts that looked tempting, however I was too full from my meal. They also offer breakfast and lunch menus. May have to visit again while in Bath!

What a find! This little cafe has great tapas -- we ordered a very creative and well executed chicken wings w/ pesto and garlic and chips with a spicy sauce. Then we each had sandwiches -- chicken, Mediterranean veggies, and egg sandwiches. Each was creative, original, and off the charts yummy and featured homemade sauces. We washed it down with homemade sangria and followed our lunch with tea, cappuccino, and homemade marble cake w/ chocolate sauce drizzled on top. Everything was so delicious that talk of the food dominated our lunchtime conversation. Our server was attentive and timely. The owner shared his sangria recipe with us -- we can't wait to make it for friends at home in the US. Five stars because we'd absolutely return and we'd recommend this little cafe and all its warmth and ambience and yummy everything to our friends and fellow Yelpers.

Went for dinner - so amazing! It is small, kind of tucked away but well worth it. The staff are very attentive and the food is so yummy! Try the Ox Tail - it is unique but very tasty. My friend had the portabello burger and she said it was amazing!

Amazing food!! I had the beef burger with the fries. My friend had the halloumi mushroom burger. Both were so fantastic! Great service and cute atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Nice place, great vibe. Food is good! Sometimes closed off for entire parties. Nice to sit and have a pint on a side street though!

Upon entering La Flamenca, I was convinced I had found my final culinary resting place. The restaurant is situated in a white walled cavern, with moorish inspired tiling which really do look like an Andalusian pueblo. Of course, the usual matador tat calls to mind the tackier tourist restaurants of Spain's beautiful South, but that's a forgiveable sin. Why the two star rating then? Unfortunately positive first impressions soon melted away when we entered the restaurant which was almost entirely colonised by a twenty strong group of stag nighters dressed as bull and matadors. More than just making me cringe a little, it was also impossible to hear anything - the acoustics of the cave really don't lend themselves well to big parties as all sound just reverberates deafeningly round the room. So we moved into the bar area, which had a far more pleasant and convivial atmosphere. An acceptable bottle of Rioja ordered and we were just beginning on our starters (a tasty enough selection of cured meats), when lo and behold, our main course arrived all at once. The selection of tapas wasn't particularly warm and all tasted disappointingly like it had been premade and microwaved. Although the total bill wasn't wild, it still felt overpriced when the mis-timed service and mediocre food was taken into account. And so, my quest for a decent Spanish meal outside of Spain continues...

The food was delicious (can't remember everything that we sampled, but i do remember the grilled sardines, baked choritso, meatballs (particularly good), cheese & that thin salty ham & bread (great bread) and really good olives). I agree with Matstars in that the rioja is very good. Also had a cognac and espresso to finish off. I think that it cost around £100 for three of us, but we were on a pre-Christmas day out and weren't holding back (hmm, i might have had two cognacs, come to think of it!). It was a fabulous lunch and the perfect pit stop. I would go back anytime (and hope to see some Spanish dancing!).

They set me up with a tasting of various English wines and I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was quite knowledgeable about local wines and expanded my horizons on English winemaking! Nice crowd here too. A day later I returned with my wife just around their closing time and while they had indeed closed up for the night - the staff was having their end-of-week toasts - they STILL very hospitable allowed us to sit and enjoy a glass or 2, rather than simply asking us to leave. Wine list was extensive and fair, from inexpensive & really good to pricey and awesome. Generally, I think there was something for everybody on the wine list. Since this restaurant has mostly tapas style foods, we had multiple small dishes which were shared. I would highly recommend this approach as no one visitor/tourist could taste everything. We got close! Small plates: Snails and marrow Croquettes with andouille sausage Red mullet & anchovies Tomato and salad / with lots of seeds Risotto Cabbage - I couldn't do this one justice Dessert: Elderflower Pannacotte Berry mess All with a nice bottle of wine...or 2! We spent a wonderful evening with good conversation between ourselves and then with neighboring diners. The staff was very friendly and helpful in selections. The food was well prepared, quickly brought out in a proper order. Our young waitress was surprisingly knowledgeable about the wine. Don't miss this hidden gem!
