Sanad is my buddy. He came twice to my house to fix my gas furnace. Once in the morning and another time in the evening. Whatever he changed out the second time, some battery, worked. Great customer service! My furnace/thermostat wasn't working properly last week. I called Same Day to schedule an appointment and they were able to send someone in the same day, just like their name. Sanad, the technician, came within the window they scheduled. He texted me 10 mins prior and gave me his location and arrival time. That was super helpful! Sanad was very knowledgable, polite, and patient. He did a quick examination on my furnace and asked a few questions to nail down what the problem was. He was honest and gave me the estimate before I decided to let him do the work. He ended up replacing a part on my furnace and everything is working fine now. My wife and I purchased our house in 2016 which was built in 1985. We were lucky enough to acquire the original 1985 furnace that came with it. This thing sounded like a chain saw starting, it was insanely loud! Needless to say, it was time for an upgrade. I found Same Day on yelp and gave them a call. They called me back a few hours latter. A short time later they dropped by to come see my furnace. Omar was super personable, easy to talk with and definitely fair in his pricing. That night they emailed me with a few options on furnaces and air conditioners with their pricing. After consulting the wife we booked Omar to come do the work as soon as he could get us on his schedule. They did the work effortlessly, cleaned up any mess and hauled away the old furnace. The job took them the day and Omar even stayed late to show me how to program the new furnace and AC. Pros: If you are American Shield Home Warranty, you have to request this company because they are THE REAL DEAL! After reading numerous horrible reviews with the first company based in San Ramon, I quickly called the home warranty (which took an hour) to get it switched to a company that gets good feedback from customers. So I got this company and they did a great job! The technician was Sanad and he was lightning quick! He went to change the capacitor and it was done. I had a technician who came the day before who said that to change the "motor" it was going to cost $500-$600! With the warranty, $100 service fee and we are complete! Very impressed! Also was willing to come on a Saturday! Cons: The only issue would be their timing. They told me from 4pm-8pm and I never got a call from them until I started thinking they were going to flake on me. So I called at 7:45pm and they told me they were running a little late and would be there in 20 minutes. Overall: Given all the horrible reviews and experiences from other HVAC companies with warranty, I am really grateful and pleased with their service! read more

My furnace worked well but I was not getting hot air from two of the air vents. They sent technician for inspection the second day and got it fixed on site. They came out and told me that my heater fan was broken and was going to cost $2,500. He said my heater was very old and he suggests a full replacement for around $6,000-$8,000. I then called another company that my friend said he trusted and they came out and told me that yes my heater was old, but it was "built like a tank" and all I needed was the new blower. Their cost for a blower was $700. He said that lots of companies try to scare you during the cold weather to replace the units. If you want to get ripped off...call these guys. read more

Same Day HVAC was hired earlier this week by our insurance company to determine why our downstairs was 55 degrees! The were supposed to return yesterday to fix the problem. There was a mix up in their computer and although they arrived on time they did not have the parts they needed. I was not very happy as I was supposed to work. However, they apologized and scheduled the repair on a Sunday. The techs that came out were very knowledgeable, completed the repair and explained in detail what the issue was/what was needed to fix it. I went to get my wallet at the end and they explained that the owner was very sorry about the mix up yesterday and they were not charging us. This was not expected but was a very gracious offer. Our furnace died last night. I called early the next morning about 7am and got an appointment for later that day during a window that worked for me. Sanad came with an apprentice (nice to see a company training new workers!) promptly at the beginning of the appointment window. They had shoe covers in hand to avoid getting the floor dirty. They came in and figured out what was wrong within a few minutes, and showed me how they figured it out. They had the replacement part they needed on the truck to fix it, swapped it in, and boom, they were done. They were in and out in less than an hour. They were courteous, and efficient. These guys came out quoted me $3,000 that's the price of a brand new heater. What a waste of 80$ for them just to rip us off more. We ended up calling two other places to get quotes. Our total cost on repair was $200. Instead of $3,000. I suggest calling around before using them. They lied said we needed to replace a whole bunch of parts. My furnace does not turn on. I called for the service.The first guy came in late, after one and half hour, he could not find out what the issue was. He requested another guy to come again later in the day. Second technician seems more knowledgable, he quickly identified it was the control board issue and he replaced it. But he charged me $756 for the part. I later checked online and found the most expensive control board costs $250. It was way too much. Never use this company again. read more

Okay, I was totally lame, just didn't put the batteries in the thermostat the right way when I replaced them. But when I called around for what I thought was a broken thermostat or maybe even the furnace, and the first few people were booked for several days, Same Day had someone available the next day and was very professional with follow up texts to confirm the appointment and time window and then the day of the visit sent a text to tell me the technician was on his way. Sanaad Homeedi arrived and was very polite and professional, corrected the problem, gave the furnace and the filter a look over, and then didn't charge for what was my obvious screw up.
