I'm not sure what happened here... I had Raj service my furnace & dehumidifier a year ago and was very happy with his work. I asked him to put me on an annual maintenance schedule but as of now I have not heard from him. I've tried messaging him as well as emailing him but 2 weeks later still no response. I'm not sure if he's still in business or if he's simply too busy to respond. Well, whatever the case he lost my business. Best to look elsewhere if you need HVAC servicing done. read more

Raj and his team did a great job installing a new high efficiency furnace and all new ducting. He is very knowledgeable and does everything the right way. My only issue was the communication could have been better. Since I got a high efficient furnace there needs to be two plastic pipes that come out of the house and I didn't know that. They look ugly. And the control on the wall that he installed is outdated and I can't use my phone to change the temperature. Lastly, I tried contacting him a couple of months ago, called and texted him and he didn't reply back. read more

Our 30 year old furnace quit on us, and after getting no response from a couple of other nearby heating places due to Covid, Raj was willing to come out and inspect the furnace the same day. After the inspection and recommendation to replace the entire unit he didn't charge me anything for the visit, and sent over several furnace options for me to choose from, all of which were less expensive than anticipated. I chose my unit and Raj and one other person came out and got rid of my old furnace and had the new one up and running in a few hours. I decided to go with Main Air Heating and Air for my HVAC needs! My furnace from 1958 finally busted in the Pacifica Area. I did 3 weeks of research (in the cold) on 5 local companies in the Daly City / SSF / Pacifica - Bay area, including Costco, Home Depot, and even a Family Friend who does HVAC on the side. Out of these bids, Main Air was reasonably priced and offered quick and courteous service. They were prompt and completed the job on 5/20/2019. (side note, Costco offered 15% cash back bonus on HVAC with gold membership, but despite this it was not able to hold up to Main Air!). In my opinion, Costco should look into Main Air as their partner! They fitted my house with an 80%, 3ton, 70,000 BTU, 2 stage variable unit from Lennox to replace my old worn out 1958 GE 80% 64,000 unit. They were honest and told me 80% would be better for my situation since a higher efficiency model (90% or more) would not amount to much savings in my 1500 square foot home. Return on investment with a higher efficiency unit (98%) would probably not be realized till 15 years later. Aside from price, professionalism and trust-worthiness is the other main reason why I opted for Main Air. They are a private/local company, owned and operated by 2 brothers, Mr. Rajkumar Tandel and Mr. Joy Tandel with years of experience. They are professional, down-to-earth, and most importantly, not ghetto looking. I did not feel worried leaving them alone in the house to do their work. In fact, they look like guys, I went to medical school with. With all of this said, I would definitely go with Main Air HVAC again if needed and skip the research. Trouble-free great work! read more

Incredibly professional service.  Raj and team installed a brand new ducting and heating/cooling system in our 2200 sqft house. It was completed on time, on budget sms wad the most reasonably priced too. The system works really well, and we were very impressed with how all the new ducting was proactively insulated by Raj.  This saves a huge amount of energy over time. Our furnace stopped lighting the day after Christmas. I gave Raj a call and he came round later that day, diagnosed the problem (cracked igniter) and said he'd have the part the following day. If we hadn't been going on a weekend trip out of town, we'd have had it fixed that Friday, but he called around Monday and fixed it in less than an hour. Definitely recommend. It was president's day weekend and it was freezing cold. My heater gave out, perfect timing, right? I called 10+ furnace repair shops and not a single one answered my call.
