Planning & installation of whole house HVAC system in our 2 story property went flawlessly. Placement of the AC unit done easily, making access for service simple. The crews were great. "They get it". Don't hesitate to offer them the opportunity to solve your HVAC challenges! read more

I would not bother reaching out to them until you see an explanation here. I'm really confused about the experience I received. A month ago they sent a technician out to look at our HVAC unit. We received the technician who looked at our unit and gave us some initial thoughts. He said the office would give us quotes for replacement and repair. I have since been on the phone with the office twice. Once two weeks ago, when they said I would receive a quote at the end of the week, and again last week when they said they were working on the quote still. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and also reached out to them on Yelp as well. Whatever is happening at Innovative Mechanical is preventing them from providing the advertised service and is ultimately a misuse of everyone's time. read more

Outstanding start to finish as they fixed my A/C. From the woman who answered the phone, to the first guy who came out only a few hours later (I musta gotten lucky) and carefully diagnosed my leak, to the incredibly polite and also thorough guy who came to my home 2 days later to fix it ... everything you hope for. Will use again, highly recommend. read more

This place serviced my Bryant HE furnace that stopped working. All Ben did was remove the condensate hose from a bucket and the furnace worked again. Innovative charged me $335 for this lack of real service or repair. Never gonna use them again. Just for a comparison, the furnace had issues a few years later. Called Next HVAC and their guy Steve didn't do anything as the furnace started working again for whatever reason. Although he was here almost an hour, all he charged was the $70 diagnostic fee which was disclosed upfront. Using Next HVAC for my next service call! IM got their money but lost a customer for life. read more

Great team and constantly working to ensure that we were happy with our service. We have the pleasure of working with Dominic and Gino! They were prompt and were able to squeeze our team in last minute. The work was top notch and we will be using them again in the future. read more

Hire this company, they do great work! They installed a new furnace and I couldn't be happier.

I called Innovative Mechanical bc a search on Google yielded them as the top result with positive reviews. I called them to schedule an appointment and it was very easy. Domenic came out to do an inspection to give me a quote for replacing my HVAC ducts. He showed up on time and was very professional throughout the entire process. He was patient and helped answered all my questions during the walkthrough, and was really honest about pricing. They do have an asbestos abatement company they work with. I ended up not going with Innovative Mechanical bc of some logistics on my own end. But I would recommend them if my friends ever had HVAC needs in the future for their homes. read more

This team was awesome. They made changing a furnace a breeze. From meeting up to discussing my options to the install: my experience was flawless. Additionally, the unit they put in was super high quality. I know nothing about furnaces, and after the install I looked up the unit they installed and it's the best one. Great dependability, serviceability, and performance. The quote was reasonable and a good value for the money. I highly recommend Innovative Mechanical. Well done. read more

Innovative Mechanical was referred to me by my plumbing guy, and they don't disappoint. Domenic and team replaced the gas HVAC systems with heat pumps. The quality of their work is impressive. During the process, one of the downstair unit locations required custom made piping and the other unit in the backyard required a new electric panel outdoor. Domenic and team solved both problems through their in-house manufacture line and their network of contractors. The project was finished surprisingly on time given the scale. On top of all this, Domenic has always been responsive and honest with communications, whether it is the pricing or follow up on expected issues. I highly recommend Innovative Mechanical to anyone in the neighborhood with HVAC needs. read more

Started with sales rep. Dominic, he was very informative and addresses our specific needs. (The price was competitive too!) Always returned my calls and emails promptly. Day of installation workers Mark and Dino were always on time and cleaned up after themselves daily. They did a great job I had a new central heating and air conditioner installed. This customer is very happy the system Works great and I am very pleased. Thank You Innovative Mechanical read more

I called innovative because I was having trouble with my AC unit. Other companies told me I needed a new unit but they were able to fine tune mine and now it works great again. Great service and saved a ton of $$$ not getting a new unit. Highly Recommend read more

Domenic got me a quality replacement furnace. His team showed up on time and was friendly and professional. We were impressed with the quality of the installation work. Innovative Mechanical got us a great furnace and installed it at a great price. What a difference the new heater has made! I'd use this company again. read more

The company has done maintenance for us for years. However we did an install that they doubled the price for and have spent 10k trying to get repaired so it will actually work. The unit leaked water and damaged our ceilings and we have just spent another 1100 to find out that the original install was done improperly. Use this company for maintenance perhaps however not for any install or professional work. read more

Don't use this company! They charged me over $300 to visit and inspect my furnace that was not working. Call PG&E instead as they came and checked it for free and said there was nothing wrong with it. read more

Our heater wasn't working properly and it was Christmas, having little ones and how cold it was getting made us worried so we called the emergency number. They came out the next day and Greg was fantastic! He knew what the issue was and worked quickly. We are so grateful to have found Innovative Mechanical! read more

We were having very bad luck with HvAc repair places -- some combination of unreliable, hard to acedule and very expensive. These guts are professional, communicated well and their price for installing a home heat pump was 50% less than the other shop that was bidding on the work. read more

Innovative is great! Under our home warranty, a HVAC company was sent out to diagnose a loud hissing sound coming from our condenser. After inspection, they said there was nothing wrong and the condenser didn't make the noise while they were there. We knew that wasn't right, especially when the condenser made the noise again seemingly after they left. We contacted Innovative Mechanical. Steve came out, diagnosed the problem, and recommended a replacement. It was ordered, delivered, and installed very timely. We have had no issues since. Highly recommend this company! read more

Our furnace wasn't working, and we wanted to replace our asbestos ductwork in our garage. We reached out to Innovative Mechanical based on a friends recommendation. The estimate was free, estimator arrived on time and provided a clear assessment of the work they would do/offer. The quote came in the next day with our options. Innovative also recommended and worked with an abatement company to remove the asbestos duct work and replaced it with square metals ducts. Installers were always polite, prompt and cleaned up at the end of each day. Innovative made the process painless and simple. I highly recommend Innovative Mechanical for you HVAC needs. read more

Innovative Mechanical - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Belmont, California

They were great. They came to check my furnace and do a tune up and made sure it was running efficiently. Very nice and timely !

Beware, Innovative Mechanical charges a minimum $235 anytime they come out! In my case less than 15 minutes for an estimate. Pretty steep. And their estimate was a rip off, too. 70% higher than other companies for the same work. read more

Not happy with the numerous visits that had to happen for my parent's furnace because no one could seem to figure out how to repair it. And this is a furnace that they installed initially. In the meantime my very elderly parents were freezing in their home and had to pay a rather large bill for them to keep coming out to try to troubleshoot the problem. And, their office staff was getting annoyed at my parents for calling to get updates that the office didn't provide in a timely manner. I had to Instacart a heater to them just so they could sleep at night. The repair took weeks. We will never call them again. read more

We were looking to add a heating vents into our downstairs. After calling many places, we found Innovative to be the most responsive and we were happily surprised with their reasonable quote. They showed up on time, explained exactly what they would be doing, and completed the job quickly. They left everything spotless. I couldn't even tell they were there!!!! The vents are a lifesaver. Just wish we called Innovative sooner!!!! read more

Had Innovative Mechanical replace and relocate our gas furnace and ducts back in November 2020 which took about 1 week with 2 guys working full days. We got a Trane 96% efficiency, added a HEPA filter, and installed an A/C coil to be A/C ready. We relocated the furnace from a hallway closet to the crawlspace, which opened up tons of storage space and more importantly made the operation of the furnace blower virtually silent! The technicians, Mark and Allen, were extremely professional and friendly! Always on-time and very respectful of hour house and family. Al, was our project manager, and made frequent visits throughout the project to check on progress and answer questions. I could not be any happier with their service and quality of work! Pricing was reasonable and very comparable to the other 2 quotes I received (+/- $300), with the real difference being that Al explained everything in detail with me and gave me confidence that they would do the job right. I highly recommend calling these guys for a quote for your next project/repair! I definitely will be using them for my A/C project. FYI - I tried going the Costco route with some other company thinking the "cash card" rebate would be huge, but it just turned out that the net cost was the same anyway. read more

It all started with a broken heater at our rental property. Innovative Mechanical was prompt, reliable trustworthy and ready to do the job. Domenic F. (The estimator) met with my husband to bid the job. We told him exactly what we wanted, he made some suggestions and we received the detailed quote within a few hours. The quote was very fair with what we were looking for in a new heater. We met with Domenic on a Friday and not even a week later we scheduled the install with a permit that Domenic pulled for us and a whole new heater was installed. The Innovative team was on time, easy to work with and did a great job! I would highly recommend them for all your heating and air conditioning needs. Thank you Domenic, Spencer and the Innovative Mechanical team! We are happy customers! read more

Highly recommend! Our experience with Innovative Mechanical was seamless from initial contact with Domenic who assessed the situation, contract coordination with Gina, and installation with Mark. I'm amazed at how quickly and smoothly everything went in the assessment and installation of a new furnace. Innovative Mechanical went out of the way to accommodate our situation and completed all work in record time. I would work with them again without hesitation. read more

Al and his team (Justin, Mark and Spencer) did a wonderful job installing our new furnace and A/C. They provided the estimate on a timely basis, communicated clearly with us throughout, and completed the project on time. They were respectful of our home during the entire process, cleaned up well at the end of the project, and followed through with everything we discussed. Things could not have gone smoother, and we are so glad we chose Innovative for our home! read more

Innovative Mechanical installed a heat pump for us a little over a year ago (for both heating and cooling). We couldn't be happier with how well the system has worked for us through all the seasons - winter, spring, summer, fall, and even the allergy and fire seasons. The installation team worked hard and was incredibly professional. The owner listened carefully to our needs and made excellent recommendations for our system. Innovative Mechanical is a wonderful family-run business, and we couldn't be happier with their service. read more

These guys recently performed some HVAC modifications for me on a commercial project. The building's owner used them for previous work and suggested we go back to them. During the project they were lacking. On the front end we got a high quote, unresponsive sales process, and a long scheduling delay. The work (which was supposed to take just four hours) required them to make four or five separate on-sites. And worst of all, the final workmanship was sub-par; they didn't stick to the plan, leaving framing uncovered and unpainted, and requiring others to finish the job. On a positive note, after the work was done we expressed our unhappiness with their performance, and they followed up and apologized, also adjusting down our invoice. They do seem to be concerned with customer satisfaction and it's possible that in the busy construction market, our small project fell between the cracks. read more

Tech empty handed came into our building, goal is to trouble shoot why AC does not work at the front. All he did is to tell us everything works as expected even though I stressed to him we've struggling with the AC for a month. Even with that, he didn't bother with any testing like refrigerant line pressure etc, and just told us cold air coming out. Then 2 rooms vent cold air came to a stop. Then he said he could not finish it this time, he needs to come back next day to check it. Next day he came back. Same process, he didn't bother with any testing, didn't bother to explain to me or our front desk what he did. Back to his company, he submitted a quote for a capacitor replacement of $1245. And charged for 2x2=4 hours for his visits $775! $775 for doing nothing empty handed and no data to report whatsoever?? Is this company and tech out of their mind and just thinking robbing people like this is okay? I gave management the feedback, and the lady manager or owner didn't even bother to reply. read more

After suffering from a house fire in 2019, dealing with the insurance companies and contractors was extremely stressful. Al, Steve, and the whole team were extremely professional, prompt, and detail oriented. The fact that our house was out of their general area, being in Napa, didn't slow them down at all. They didn't miss a thing. I am so lucky we chose them. read more

We are so fortunate to have found this company. We had been struggling in the summer to keep our house cool. Old houses tend to come with lots of issues. Called for HVAC servicing and issue with some rooms not getting enough air. They were reliable, available on phone. The guy couldn't help much as there were no dampers for the hvac, so couldn't control the airflow. They are super expensive. Initially I was quoted $ 235 for first hour but then charged me additional $100 for commute time ( from South SF to city of SF). This was a surprise and wouldn't use them again nor recommend. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. It started well Rob showed up on promise time and provided a quote in a day for replacing the gas furnace. But after that he vanished, I had a couple of questions on the quote and I sent him 3 emails, 2 VM in 2 weeks timeframe but no replies. I called the office to explain the situation and they said only Rob can help me with the quote. Worst service I have ever received, no matter how busy you are you should be able to respond through email or a quick call to your future customers.... read more

Innovative Mechanical installed two new slimline AC units for us about a month ago, and they did such a great job! I have been a customer of Innovative Mechanical for many years. This is the 1st time in 30 years that my furnace needed repair. I was impressed with the professionalism of the office staff from the 1st telephone call I made to the completion of the work required. Gina was helpful in getting a technician out to check the problem immediately. The Technician, Ben, arrived earlier than expected. He checked thoroughly and explained the issue in terms that I understood. The parts were ordered the same day and promised within the next week. I was concerned about waiting any length of time as it has been extremely cold the past week . Gina assured me that they would do all possible to complete the repair within the week. Fortunately, the parts ordered arrived early, and Gina contacted me via email and a telephone call. A promise to try and get the Technician earlier was made, and, again, surprisingly, 3 days earlier than the expected date. The Technician Ben, was on time. Ben is courteous, professional, and thorough in his work ethics. He made certain all the vents were open and heat flowing properly in each of the rooms before he left the premises.
