FG answered all the questions and accommodated our requests to align with the tile vendor recommendations. Price competitiveness: We spoke with 4 paver companies. 1 didn't want to do Porcelain tiles+ Paver, 1 didn't meet our budget, job was too small for one. Project Management: regular site visits by the site lead. Eduardo is a gem. They helped us pick the right material, picked up the tiles, did the dry layout and kept us updated on the schedule Work site: Saul and his team were punctual, spotless at the end of workday and walked through every step of the process. Great design and installation of tasteful spotlights, mushroom lights, and some custom lights in the paver patterns. The Black Diamond team workers were fast, clean, organized, courteous, and their craftsmanship was excellent and the finished front of the house was a very custom and professional job. They were also flexible, which is probably most important. It now has a very modern, Tuscan look. What a transformation from cracked concrete! The neighbor dropped by, was amazed, and said: sign me up too! Definitely would recommend. It turned out better than we had imagined.

With several of the walls opened up and the previous fireplace inserts and exhaust tubing exposed, I felt it was a good time to have the fireplaces and chimney exteriors inspected and deep cleaned. Charles was timely, pricing felt reasonable for the work performed, and he provided quite a bit of educational feedback on fireplaces and fire safety, including some feedback for our GC on proper configurations for the fireplace hearth and framework. Two of our 3 fireplaces were very heavily used by the previous owner and per Charles' feedback, a couple decades overdue for cleaning. While it is hard to tell at face value what was actually cleaned, Charles provides a thorough report for each fireplace and inspection pictures that showed some before & after examples.
