Alvaro and his team did an amazing job on our concrete backyard. From the moment we spoke about the project, we knew we were in good hands. Alvaro was honest, communicative, and clearly takes pride in his work. His crew worked hard every single day, paid attention to every detail, and treated our home with care and respect. Everything looks better than we ever imagined smooth, clean, and beautifully done. It truly transformed our backyard. We recently finished our second project with Alvaro and his team to install a backyard patio extension and a front driveway extension, and once again, we couldn't be happier with the experience. Just like our first project, Alvaro and his team were super professional and did an excellent job. I cannot emphasize enough how appreciative I am of how communicative and punctual Alvaro was throughout the whole process, which made the entire experience completely stress-free. Alvaro provided quote updates within 24 hours and quickly answered all of our questions. The team arrived on time every single day, which was especially impressive as they worked through the hottest week of the year so far. The project went incredibly smoothly. Alvaro gave us daily updates every afternoon on what they accomplished and what they were going to do the next day. They also kept the job site very tidy and left everything spotless when they were done. We are so happy to have worked with Alvaro and his team again, and they will definitely be our go-to for any future concrete projects. Highly recommend Sandoval Concrete for anyone looking for high-quality work! read more

Alvaro and his team were amazing! They came and did a large cement patio in my backyard! The entire process was smooth and Alvaro was awesome. They did such a good job and even went above and beyond, in my opinion with the extra dirt they took out. He was able to do everything I asked for! I had existing cement work they were able to match and make it all look like it was done at the same time. If I ever need more cement work done, Alvaro will be who I call! read more

I had a great experience working with Alvaro, who helped transform my backyard jungle into a usable patio. Many others have said similar things, but it's worth repeating: - Reasonable pricing, for a licensed contractor - Alvaro and his crew are friendly, respectful, and easy to work with - Good quality, professional workmanship - Excellent communication -- I was always informed of the next steps Many thanks to Alvaro and his crew! We hired Sandoval to replace our porch, driveway, front and side walkways, and back patio, and install a drainage system. A pretty big job! I got four quotes. Arturo's was very reasonable and detailed, and he was fine with us tweaking it several times. He worked with the city to make sure everything was up to code, and he made several great suggestions that really improved the project. I highly recommend him. We hired Sandoval Concrete for our backyard concrete project two months ago. Alvaro was great to work with. He was responsive to our bid request and questions, and provided recommendations that definitely enhanced my original plan. We received other bids and not only was his bid competitive, we especially liked how thorough he was in how he planned to do the work. He completed the joint layout as we requested and addressed some last minute adjustment on a corner pad for our storage shed. Sandoval Concrete finished the work within a week as scheduled. We had a very large patio jack hammered and redone. Alvaro and his crew were on time, efficient and left the work area clean each day. We decided to concrete stamp our patio and a walkway and loved the color, finish and quality of their work. I received 3 bids and theirs was the most affordable. I would hire them again if I need more concrete work and have referred them to friends. So happy we hired them. read more

If we could give Sandoval Concrete 10 stars, we would! We have worked with Sandoval Concrete on many projects, listed below: 1) concrete for our outdoor kitchen area 2) "fake grass" for our front lawn 3) landscape rocks throughout our backyard 4) fence around our backyard 5) concrete and storage shed for our garden area. We keep coming back to Alvaro (the owner) and his team for these reasons: 1) Over-deliver: Alvaro's commitment to always doing right by his customer. For example, when he installed the grass and realized there might be drainage issues, he returned without letting us know and lifted the grass to ensure that the drainage was okay. No other contractor has even cared so much as Alvaro. 2) Team: His team is professional and hardworking. Alvaro's team cares about our property and always thinks to clean-up afterward. We had a deadline to get our backyard ready for the Mother's Day party, and they came weekends to work to get the project done to meet the tight deadline we put on. We are so grateful! 3) Price: Alvaro's quote is always fair, especially for a licensed, bonded company with insurance. read more

I had my driveway repaved/extended in Nov 2023 by Alvaro and his team. On top of concrete work, my existing fences were relocated and reused to accommodate the extended driveway as well as replanting the maple tree. It took a total of 3 working days to finish the project, and he did a phenomenal job. Alvaro was always responsive and answered all my questions in a professional manner. Also, Alvaro's quote was very reasonable compared to other contractors. Below is the time lapsed video of the entire project. From start to finish Sandoval Concrete did not disappoint. The owner is a licensed bonded contractor. We needed my son's driveway replaced. It was damaged by under ground tree roots and was 6 ft longer off the city street with old pavers on both sides. They did demo removed two large tree branches took out dirt laid gravel compacted ground put in rebar then concrete. They put in the expansion joints needed to keep the driveway from cracking. The driveway turned out just beautiful. I will use them for all my concrete needs in the future! read more

Coming up on the one year mark since Alvaro did our driveway and backyard and still could not be happier. He helped me with design, let me know when I was making a mistake, was able to translate my asks into a better than hoped for installation. Everyone who looks at the backyard thinks we did new coping too but it's the same old pool just perfectly integrated. He did the sealer and caulked around the pool a month after the pour and it was perfectly executed. I had to wait six weeks to get on the schedule but he started demo on a Tuesday and I had both front and back poured that Saturday. He and team fast and worked clean, no issues. Highly recommend. read more

Great job doing a stamped concrete patio for our backyard in July 2022. I wanted to wait a little bit to see how things went. It is beautiful and well-done. Alvaro was very responsive and his team completed everything on schedule and I have received many compliments on the patio including other landscape contractors (now doing the rest of the yard). He also accommodated last-second changes like not having a step go all the way around. His workers stepped on some succulents and he gave us a pot of succulents to replace them. I really appreciate his attention to customer service. Lastly, I left an initial review that was uncharitable in the pics - there was some unfinished stucco needed. He called to follow up and gave me a stucco contractor. He was gracious in spite of my misstep. I would highly recommend him. read more

This review has been a long time coming. I needed to replace my driveway, walkway and front porch. I did a lot of research and received 4 different estimates. Alvaro was quick to provide a written and thorough proposal outlining the cost, materials and scope of work. His price was competitive and I appreciated his patience (lots of it) when explaining the process, options and changes I later requested. His crew worked hard and cleaned up nicely after each days work - I am beyond happy with the result. I asked them to leave a small area in the concrete for a plant and he surprised me by bringing a beautiful lily to put there! one of his workers actually planted it for me! Plus he provided some badly needed backfill to the front lawn area. There are a couple of "buts", isn't there always? I sort of wish I had opted out of the sealer. Even though the stamped concrete has a little texture it is still a bit slippery when it's wet. That isn't their issue but I wanted to note that for anyone on the fence about whether or not to use a sealer. it may get better in time . . . Also, there are two small blotchy areas - one where they patched a small hole and another that looks like something was spilled on it. The areas aren't in the driveway where you might not notice because a car is parked there, no, they are in the middle of the walkway! Alvaro came out twice attempting to repair and suggested we wait and give the colored concrete time to settle. It has been six months but the areas remain blotchy. Still, I absolutely LOVE the my new walk and driveway and will use Sandoval Concrete again when we do our backyard. read more

Alvaro and his crew are amazing! The work they did in our yard was phenomenal. From the initial meeting to discuss what we wanted to the actual completion of the project, we could not be happier. They removed pavers and replaced them with a concrete pad as well as created a walkway for an area we only had dirt previously. It went from a waste of space to a functional area to expand our yard. They arrived on time each day, cleaned up as they went and walked us through what they did each night. The level of detail and expertise was greatly appreciated. We will definitely use them again. We had an aggregate concrete patio in our backyard that was looking old and out of date. The design had two angular spots of plants and dirt that would fill up during a heavy rain and flood our home as the water exceeded the threshold of our patio door. After research and getting a few quotes, one which the owner said he would start the next day after I spoke with him, which was a red flag to me as he was too aggressive. We hired Sandoval concrete to do our backyard patio. They came out promptly to give an estimate. After checking out a few other subsequent quotes, we decided they had the best price and reviews. Alvaro is the best owner/manager to work with. Easy going and very diligent about getting the job done right. He would ensure that everything was done to our specifications Heck, he even repaired the landscaping light wiring cut through by our landscaper. Yay, landscape light works again! Now, our patio looks great, with a stamped design and color added to better match the color of our home, yet not so far off as not to contrast too much with the existing concrete. Amazing! Wanted to get my driveway extended (an approximate 7' x 25' area). Called multiple places, and most didn't call me back. Guess the job was too small? Thankfully, Alvaro called me back, and was able to give me a quote just from a couple pictures I sent via txt. His estimate was less than half compared to the other quotes I got, and I couldn't be happier with the work! They matched the color and the decorative lines on the rest of the driveway and had the whole thing done in less than 4 hours. I am very happy with the finished concrete work completed by Sandoval Concrete. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends. We hired Sandoval Concrete to install concrete in the front next to our existing driveway and sidewalk all along the side and back of our backyard. It's great when you find a contractor that shows up on time (&/or calls if they're running late), listens to your wants and concerns, is quick to provide a quote, and returns your calls / texts - - all for a good price! Alvaro and his team showed up on time every morning, worked hard, and were pleasant to work with. We asked for him to quote on a stamped (multiple shades) driveway, walkway, porch, & yard boarders. They performed all the work. Demolition showed no rebar was under the original driveway... but now all the cement has rebar. After getting the quote for the driveway, I realized that they could also remove the lawn (which I was planning on doing)... so he gave me a quote on that work and performed both jobs very well. We reached out to Sandoval Concrete for a quote to concrete our backyard. Alvaro responded to our request promptly. He came with a measuring tape like all other contractors but what set him apart was the fact that he came with an electric leveling tool that tells us exactly how our yard was sloping. We were very concern as to how the water will drain during the raining reason and many contractors verbally told us how our yard slop but none had the tool to proof it. This was the selling point for us and since Alvaro gave us a reasonable quote, it was a no brainers to go with Sandoval Concrete. Alvaro, Kefugio and Aldo were very punctual each morning. They are a very respectful, dedicated, detailed oriented, customer focus, result driven and easy going team. They listen to your concerns and help you analyze the issues so that you can see the pros and cons and goes above and beyond the call of duty. The projected completed in 5 days. Overall, I am very satisfied with their service and extremely grateful to have found them. We even recommended them to our neighbors for their project. My backyard now looks amazing. Sandoval Concrete - Our new backyard! - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

Sandoval concrete did an amazing job with my concrete!! With Alvaro you get the highest level of attention to detail in his craft and the highest level of customer experience. Sandoval Concrete is a throwback company that truly cares about customer satisfaction. For my project we poured approximately 20 yards of stamped concrete which included a retaining wall. The stamped concrete I wanted to match as much as possible to my existing concrete (the walkway along the house and area adjacent to the turf). Interestingly enough Alvaro did my existing concrete many years ago before I bought the house. He was able to match my existing concrete beyond what I expected. He identified the color and recommended the pattern and joints. I went with that recommendation and could not be more satisfied with that decision. My concrete is jointed in a way that is going to reduce and practically eliminate the risk of cracking in unexpected places. It's done correct with rebar, base rock, and 4 inches of concrete. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. The artificial turf I installed myself. At first I thought the quote was high for the turf but at the time I didn't know the actual cost of material and the level of work that it requires. It took me about two weeks by myself to remove 3-4 inches of dirt, lay out the base, and rollout and install the turf. Having to deal with the material pick up (turf company would not deliver turf due to the small amt) and the labor and time that it takes, it just was not worth it. Looking back I should have left the turf install to Alvaro. In any case it turned out great for me. I'm glad that I went with artificial as Alvaro recommended. The sealer I purchased and sprayed on myself. I sealed my new and existing concrete. Amazing how the new concrete looks and how it broght it out the color on the existing. Just a heads up to others, concrete sealer is very expensive, hazardous, and difficult to handle. Probably best to leave it to the pros but in my case I wanted to do it on my own. I had to put in an extra effort so as to not botch the great job that Alvaro had done with the concrete. I can't say enough about the amazing job Alvaro and his team did!!! My wife and kids love it and feel the same way. I get compliments from everyone that sees it. Gracias Alvaro. Saludos a todos!! read more

Our family wanted to redo our driveway, front, and back yards with total area being close to about 2700 square feet of work. We wanted a clean look that required very little maintenance and, due to CA on going drought, wanted very little water usage. The look was suppose draw your eye to the front door and provide us with more space for our family to use, which included a concrete patio area in the front. With Yelp's help, I sent this out to all the local concrete companies in the area. Out of six request for quotes, three replied back that we made appointments with. One guy didn't even show up to the appointment. Another, lets call them company B, was only a virtual appointment and made me do all the measurements myself while on a Zoom call. Then there was Alvaro. Alvaro actually came out to the house and did the measurements following all the safety precautions. Even though we were both vaccinated I liked how he followed the safety precautions. He went over with me all the things we wanted to do, and provided me the quote within 24 hours of our meeting. We met an two additional times over a period of two week as we wanted to make changes to the bid. Not only did he spend the time to talk it over with us, but, being that we were not interior designers, he also provided recommendations without straying to far from our design ideas. In contrast, Company B, took a week to come back with a bid, with a caveat that they can not guarantee the price quote until a project manager came out and did the measurements themselves. I know that company B wanted to be safe, but if they were going to send out a PM later on then why did they make me so all the measurements while on a Zoom call. It really was a waste of time. Despite my gripe with Company B, I still took and compared the bids provided by both companies and we ultimately went with Sandoval Concrete. The price was roughly the same. Alvaro's personal touch and his willingness to go over things with us was was a contributing factor, but what made use choose Sandoval Concrete was the his comment that he didn't want to START A NEW JOB WITHOUT FINISHING OFF HIS CURRENT JOB!!!!! For people new to the remodeling / construction business this is common practice. A contractor would work on multiple jobs to keep business going and to make sure there is no lull in the work. The problem with this is that for the end customer this left with half finish jobs in spaces that we need. I speak from personal experience. We first did our backyard three years earlier. We went with unlicensed concrete person that a neighbor used and the man was all smiles and told us the job would take no more than two weeks. SIX MONTHS later and a number of calls and stressful moments, with several weeks where no one came to work at our house, we closed the job early and told him his services were no longer needed. This was after spending a s*** load of money. That experience left a really bad taste in our mouth and so we were very watchful for any signs that this would happen again. Yet, I didn't have to worry. Alvaro was a true professional. His guys showed up on time, he order all the inspections, and they cleaned up after themselves. He gave us a time frame of two weeks and he finished in 10 days. He was in constant communication with us and provided us with a schedule of what was going to be done. Not only was the team professional, but the worked looked amazing. It blew our mind away at how everything turned out. The before and after pictures tells you the story. In summary, we are thankful that we found Alvaro to help us with this large project. We can not recommend him enough. read more
