Pretty good service and board games available. Prices are not too bad either. The only thing that left a bad impression was during checkout. I knew from the menu and previous reviews that they automatically charged an 18% gratuity. However, they still asked for extra tip at the end. I almost ended up paying double the tip and had to ask if the total included the gratuity. He sort of mumbled under his breath and I had to ask again for clarification. The service is real chill. So i forgot to bring my form of identification; all I had was a college ID but I am about to turn 20 in a week. The guy let me slide this time. The flavors are really yummy. The mint and the Nelson Mandela are so deliciously good. We also each get a free drink! But don't try that peach drink . "It tasted like armpit sweat" based on a friend. Super great vibe. I love the back rooms. They're small, but relaxing and are separated with curtains that set a good mood to smoke to. There's even one in the far back that has a (fake) fireplace. The staff is great and friendly and they almost always have board games and cards to enjoy with a small group. I personally think it's a better hookah place than habibis! read more

This was a delightful hookah experience from approaching the counter all the way to paying the bill. I ordered one of the chocolate/caramel/cocoa flavors and it was AWESOME. The hookah tasted great. Although I may not be a hookah conosoisseur yet, I'm approaching that status and I could tell that they weren't using cheap, low-grade Egyptian tobacco. The hookahs themselves seemed pretty sturdy although they might have been the cheaper Egyptian hookahs. The staff was smart enough to make sure the bowl at the top was covered the entire time and I received timely refills of my coal. The hookah and service here were both excellent. read more

I wanted to do this basically when I got back from here. So I went with my significant other on a Saturday night, and shockingly enough, it was not crowded, but I don't think that's totalyl typical. The environment is GREAT. So relaxing, so chill! Adam was the server of the night and he is absolutely AMAZING! Very nice guy! For the hookah, we got Mr. Freeze, which is blue mist, vanilla, and mint. VERY. FREAKING. GOOD! And it's a plus that they had board games and everything there! Perfect little date night for us. I think the only thing that makes me not wanna put 5 stars (though this place totally deserves it) is that toward the back, where, in my opinion, is very comfy and just relaxing, is that it's really cold. Especially in the woman's bathroom! It was as if the AC was running back there. But overall, this place absolutely rocks! Decent price, amazing service by Adam. On the one hand, I had a Nelson Mandela blackberry blend, a ice tea/lemonade, and a spinach pie. On the other hand, I doubt that Mandela was more disrespected in prison. This hookah bar is in my neighborhood so while I appreciate that it is a typical example of a hookah bar with nothing missing would it hurt to redecorate it so it isn't so ugly to spend time in. The host, if that's what you call him, needed to be taught a point: a customer who spends the kind of money hookah bars charge can smoke until the hookah runs out of tobacco. read more

I've been to this place three times and every time was a great experience. Even on Saturday, which is one of their busiest nights, my friends and I still managed to get excellent service. The private nooks are perfect for relatively large parties and the service is friendly and prompt, plus the hookahs themselves are very clean and pull well. I ordered a fruit head, the orange was so small but the hookah hit pretty smooth. You don't really need to order a hookah to smoke here because the place had the worst ventilation. Although the chairs and ambiance was comfy and chill, the smoke made me feel sick and I left earlier than I had planned to. read more

Came here with 5 friends, made a reservation. We waited twenty minutes before the waitress appeared. She wasn't very friendly, We attempted ordering and were told that most of our choices were out of stock. Coals were never changed, and one flavor tasted like a cleaning agent. At one point after getting a new flavor, our hookah stopped pulling. Took ten minutes after we asked for her to come. She didn't check on us throughout the night, and was rude most of the time when she did. Giving it two stars because the private areas are really cool and comfortable. I've had better experiences here but I doubt I will be back. read more

Well. This is two reviews of 2 servers Dion, really nice guy. Helped us , a party of 7 find a comfortable seat after there was no room left in the back. If you see this Dion, please tell that other lady with the accent to be more friendly. When we first got there she didn't want to seat us because we were late for a reservation. Then Dion helped us out. Just because she had a bad night doesn't mean she has to kill everyone else's night. But the hookahs... They were alright. I didn't enjoy them as I usually do. PROS: Chill environment, lots of flavors, and not too pricey. CONS: Not enough cushions to sit on, luckily when we went it was pretty dead so we grabbed cushions from other stalls but seriously, add more cushions!! The number 1 reason why they get 1 star is because of the service. Like I said, when we went (last weekend) it was fairly empty. There were 4 of us, and one larger group of about 10. There was only one employee working, a shorter, petite girl. We sat down and it took her about 15 mins to approach us. Then another 20 mins for us to get our 2 hookahs, then another 10 mins before she brought us our water which we had ordered with our hookahs. The mouth pieces they gave us don't fit on the pipes, I asked her if they had other ones and she said no. Why have mouth pieces if they don't even fit?? It was a pain holding onto it and smoking. We never got checked on after getting our hookahs, she kept checking on the larger group because the guys kept flirting with her. We were sitting right across so we could hear everything. After about 30 mins we needed new coal and since she wasn't coming around I got up to get her. She followed me towards the back where we were sitting with the new coal.....and she replaced the larger group's coal and not ours. I was shocked, I KNOW she knew which group I was from. And not only did she replace their coal and no even acknowledge us, she stood around talking to them for a good 20 minutes about going to SoundBar afterwards and blah blah blah. All the while we sat there and stared. I again approached her as she was speaking to them and asked if she can please replace our coal as we are about to leave and would like to enjoy it for a bit longer. She said "yea I'll be right there" and continued chatting/flirting with the other group. I get that this is a crappy hookah lounge in a crappy part of town but seriously?? You can't at least do your job first and THEN flirt with customers?? I don't even understand why they only have 1 employee working on a Saturday night but whatever. Won't be coming here anytime soon, and definitely not if she's at the counter. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I just had a terrible experience at this place which is sad because up until the end of my evening, I was having a nice time! I had just gotten a hookah refill about twenty minutes earlier when the woman who worked there told me that she was going to close in fifteen minutes. This was at 1145 PM. When I pointed out that their hours go until 1 AM, she said that when all the customers are gone, she is allowed to close. Wtf? Was I not a customer?...a customer who had JUST paid for a refill that I then barely got to enjoy! When I pointed this out, she said that they have a 2 hour limit and I had been there for over 2 hours, which she made no mention of to me for my entire stay or anyone else for that matter, as everyone I saw was there for over 2 hours. It was very disrespectful to treat a customer as if they are unimportant and kick them out just because it is no longer crowded... no way to do business. I felt strongly that I deserved a refund for the refill I had just gotten, but didn't even bring it up as I was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. Its so sad, because this place is right by my house and the atmosphere is actually pretty nice, but I definitely won't be returning. read more

This place was great, honestly. I met some friends after work late one Saturday night. When I walked in the door I was impressed with the comfortable looking couches and the ambiance. The guy behind the bar told me they would be closing in 30 minutes but I was welcome to stay until then. I thanked him and let him know I was meeting friends and he directed me to the back area of curtained "rooms". Inside the curtain rooms there were pillows and a table to set the hookah on. The room right beside ours was huge and even had a fireplace in it so I am sure they can accommodate large groups. We left our room right when the bar was supposed to be closing but the guy that was running things that night probably wouldn't have made us leave for another hour. He seemed like he was enjoying waiting on everyone. There were still several Loyola student groups in the back rooms when we left so he definitely stayed open late for the people that were having too good of a time to leave :) read more

I got excited to see they had tangiers but the server said "they were all out". Which made me think the guy had it and didn't know how to pack it properly. So I got double apple instead which is hard to mess up. Instead of a grommet to seal the bowl, they used foil? Paper towel maybe, but foil seemed so amateur... Hookah was gone 20 minutes in with a terrible pull from a super small hose, and spent about $26 with tip for 10 puffs and a soda. Not worth it. I had to ask every time for coal, and it was hard to get his attention when he was watching the tv. read more

Super understaffed. Want to complain about how slow service was but the man was working as fast and still maintained excellent quality of the smoking experience. Didn't get the guy's name but he was cool. Every area was filled the whole 2 1/2 hours our group was there. Very flexible with us changing our reservation. Definitely no where near as nice of a setting as the Samah on Clark. Average hookah bar. Make sure you make a reservation so you can have a cool room. read more

This place doesn't have enough staff to serve customers. It's Friday night and only one person is working. Hookah was really bad at first and the guy didn't know how to fix it. I had to take a few shots at it myself until it started to work. When I needed more coal I asked like 3 times and had to wait for 20 minutes to get serviced. Great atmosphere. The floor seating in the back can be made semi private with the help of drapes. Lighting is great. Shisha flavors are plentiful and the staff really knows their stuff. They use coconut coals. No nasty insta-lights here. Would have given 5 stars if they weren't out of Tangiers tobacco. read more
