My family and decided to check out this business at the end of our night; Jenny gave phenomenal service to us while we were in town! She was incredibly friendly and attentive. We loved having her as our server, and would absolutely come back. read more

Clean and comfortable atmosphere, extremely attentive servers, a large variety of flavored tobacco, and even the owner has been helpful in creating different tobacco flavors when I'm looking to try something new. I would absolutely recommend this hookah lounge! read more

Great Egyptian atmosphere to relax with a cup of mint tea and my favorite hookah :) This place is awesome and has very warm and friendly service. Would definitely recommend and wish to return to town. read more

Such a great vibe, plenty of seats and a great staff! The even offer drinks, byob for an additional $5 and a nice variety of flavors. Parking can be tedious, but wasn't a huge problem for us. My full experience is on Tiktok, check it out! Tiktok: 96.elizamarie read more

Simple Amazing Nice place , Great Hookah , Great service

This place used to be a fun clean enjoyable environment. You could get together with friends to detox for the day, or you could grind out some Serious school work right before it was due. Coming here was a bit therapeutic especially when you had your buddies to chitchat and debrief. Even then, there were some annoyances such as the lame over cologned bums who always sat in the middle section gambling all day long with Domino's , cards, and dices. For some odd reason, these weirdos would size up every new Patron walking in to see if they could kick there but just in case an altercation occurred, but as malnourished as they looked from hours of alchohol, cigarettes and gambling, im pretty sure they'd get curb stomped. Even with those negativities, the place was still pretty Pleasant but it aged like fine milk. The place is so dirty and run down now. The bowls that they use are probably the worst I have ever seen. Out of curiosity, I once took off the foil from one of the bowls and realized that they are using almost completely flat surfaced clay bowls. Not even a tablespoon of flavor could be contained within that. Overall, the place has degraded aggressively and covid-19 didn't help. I don't think I'll ever go back there in my life. Furniture is always torn and has burn marks, and the creepy bum like gamblers will ensure that the ambience never leave that grimy state. If I close my eyes, I can still hear them slamming Dominoes on the fake granite table tops while lighting up some of the cheapest and nastiest cigarettes I've ever smelled in my life. There air filtration system is really bad too so make sure you are ready for a bath when you get home because every time you leave the place, you're going to leave with a film of some greasiness or oil all over your face and hands. read more

I really do wish I could give y'all ZERO stars!!! The vibe was horrible! The light was on the entire time despite it being 3am! The music was low as hell, and even when i asked for them to turn it up...nothing changed! The hookah was HORRIBLE! The shisha was BURNT after about 12 minutes! (Seriously)! They overcharged and mentioned nothing about the service fee until they had already ran my card! The service was TERRIBLE! We had to call them 5 times before they would even come check on us about the burnt hookah! I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason! It was not fun or enjoyable! I wish i could get the money back because it was so bad that we left after only 45 minutes! DO BETTER!!!! Literally, the best part of being here was talking cute pics in the bathroom with my friend! 0/0 never again! read more

I love coming to Cairo Nights. The hookah and service is amazing. The experience every time is better then before. Khadija is a great host, great sense of humor. They are open more then any other hookah lounge. Their hours are phenomenal. They open at 12 and close at 3am and weekends until 5am. You can't beat that. I love it here!! read more

Very nice place and fun, customer service is very good they are fast and they take care of you with whatever u need and the best part is their hookah very good flavors I always come here then other places very recommended! read more

I'd give a worse review if I could but 1 star will have to do...just know I mean to give ZERO stars. We ordered two hookahs (one with a grapefruit head and one normal) and they were both AWFUL, over priced and the service was not good at all. The guy who saw us in was rude and not helpful. Please save your money and go somewhere where they actually know how to pack a proper hookah head. Both hookahs we got had wayy too many coals on them and were burnt from the get go. This place reminds me EXACTLY the reason why I smoke hookah at home now. They don't know what they are doing. We had to fix the hookah ourselves all night. Save your money people, this place is a rip off. read more

Been smoking hookah for years now. Many spots come and go, but Cairo is one that has still stayed around, (carthage before). Cairo has pretty good hookah, really comfy furniture, and pretty chill vibe. There are better spots obviously, but the best part here is how late they are open!! read more

REGARDLESS, $10 is the price. Ordered a $2 tea and bc (BYOB), brought 1 beer=$10+tip ? ? Just not fair... felt totally ripped off. They didn't provide tools to open the drink or offer to open it either. Also, REALLY BRIGHT LIGHTS. Not relaxing. Just be upfront, charge an entrance fee or charge according to how much customers consume. Your system is NOT fair to EVERY customer. read more

Awesome staff and vibe! Very clean! You will not feel uncomfortable with Covid awareness! They make you feel welcomed and at home! We are from out of town and visited other hookah places and nothing like Cairo. We ended up coming back 3 days in a row! read more

Good hookah, nice place, accommodated a huge group! And they stay open late! Not too far from downtown Chicago. Better than any other place we had found the nights prior. And they used the real Charcoal not the crap instalight junk. So glad we found this place! read more

I wish I could leave a 0 star review. order a hookah with natural charcoal. everything started out great. coal was toward the end of its life and new coal comes out. this is where it goes south. the 2nd set of charcoal dies completely. just ash left. no new coal. I asked the waitress for new coal and she says ok. 15 minutes later the guy making the hookahs comes out with instalight charcoal and asks if I want that or wait for natural charcoal. I told him that is ok for now until the natural coal is ready. within 3 minutes he comes back out giving everyone new natural coal but me. the instalight coal dies and no new coal is brought. I sat there for 4 hours with just 3 sets of charcoal. then when I play and walk outside, one of the workers (or could be the owner) is parked next to my car and is spray painting his car in a full parking lot. definitely something you should be doing since your customer service is so horrible. I used to come here when it was called Carthage and stopped due to the horrible customer service. guess nothing has changed with the name besides the interior. never coming back again. read more

Hm. I hate smoke. Actually, I detest it with passion. But I love my husband so here we are. I find myself writing a review about a place that is full of smoke. Characteristics and opinions? Meh. Busy. Full of eastern european girls. Arabic guys. Smoke. My husband and his friends love their hookah though and according to them its not bad and cheap. It is BYOB and BYOF. So buy your booze, bring it in together with your hummus and you will have a good time. Then go home and shower twice because even your underwear will stink. read more

I used to come here when it was carthage and I have to say the hookahs here are garbage. As soon as my partner and I recieved the hookah it tasted like it was used tobacco already. We were here for one hour to give this place a chance but there was barely any smoke coming out of the hookah. The service is even garbage. 23$ for one hookah that tasted like burnt charcoal the whole entire time. read more

Cairo Nights Hookah Lounge - What is in this photo? Burnt tobacco as soon as it got delivered to our table. - Hookah Bars Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

As I opened this review page for Cairo Nights Hookah Lounge, my jaw dropped... 4 stars?! Are you kidding me? If I could give negative stars instead of the one star minimum I wouldn't think twice. I'm so disappointed from my experience on Saturday night that I to double back to leave my review at 9:46 am Tuesday morning. First of all, we only got to lounge for 35-45 minutes. The experience was horrible, I dont know if a mouse could hear the music, the decibels were so damn low. Also, the shisha was so burnt after 10 minutes. The service was terrible. We had 3 hookahs and all were just terrible. This experience had me debating the entire existence of my life and if I was living in a simulation cus it was so bad. read more

This place really went DOWN Hill!!! My friends and I used to come here every weekend and I mean every Friday and Saturday night. The hookah got so harsh, nasty and burnt after only 30 min. The guy that used to make hookah here doesn't work here anymore and since then service and hookah were terrible. Wish it used to be like the old days where hookah was fresh and long lasting. read more

So many fake hookahs in Shy town . . But thank god for this place! What's the difference? If you see pictures of places you want to smoke, and you see some small hookah (made in China) be prepared to be disappointed and have a huge headache (insta- light up charcoal ) when you finish smoking. Clean Lounge, Super Clean KM (Khalil Maamoon) Hookahs, Coco-Nara Charcoal, Disposable New Hoses with EVERY HOOKAH. All the best Sisha brands to choose from. Service is on point, and electric smoke zappers. Best of all, open in daytime and stays open until 4am, comfortable leather couches and chairs, Tarneeb players, this place is legit. This is easily the worst hookah bar I've ever visited and I'll tell you why. #1) They automatically include a tip on every bill regardless of the number of people in the party. This results in the employees serving the hookah giving you horrendous service, they literally serve you hookah like you should feel privileged to spend your money there. #2) The washrooms are disgusting, additionally there is only one washroom for each sex, there's usually a line for the washroom. #3) The seats are way too close to each other, you can literally hear the entire conversation of those around you. #4) The music is way too loud, if you're there to have a conversation forget about it. Bring your Advil with you, you will need it! #5) The pricing is ridiculously high, for me and my date we spent $90 after tips. #6) Parking, if you park in their very small lot someone will most likely block you in. read more

Atmosphere is just right, nice layout of couches perfect for group conversation. Hookah was pretty good across the board, tried multiple flavors, no complaints Service was VERY SLOW. We placed an order and waited almost 20 minutes to get our Hookah. People entering after us were getting served first. The girl doing the seating seemed clueless and couldn't communicate properly. Thankfully another staff member helped us later and was much better. Ventilation is quite poor. The air was extremely hazy and thick, I have never seen air quality this poor in any other hookah lounge. read more

Absolutely awful. There's no food, the sodas are $7 and the waitresses are extremely rude.

I'm an avid hookah enthusiast I'd like to say. Most of us don't enjoy lounge smoking at all because of the lack of quality but Cairo is different. I've started coming here daily. It opens at 11am which is a HUGE PLUS so often times my first bowl of the day is smoked here. I'm honestly quite shocked at how great this place is. Natural coals are a given for all hookahs, their hookahs are clearly washed and cleaned daily, and best part of all is that each hookah is color coded for certain flavors. More than just mint and non mint, there are certain hookahs for DA, orange, grape, and such. Price - very very very reasonable. AF hookah with a water bottle comes out to less than $20. No cheaper place worth going to in Chicago. Owners that really care about their customers and providing the best service. Would recommend Cairo Nights to all of my friends. read more

The place is beautiful and very clean. But worst hookah I've ever smoked. We tried two different flavors and they tasted like burnt plastic, me and my friend had to pay for the hookah regardless of how bad it was. Our waitress was MIA the whole 30 mins we were there. PS: We both waitress at another hookah lounge so we definitely know how flavors are supposed to taste and I'm sorry to say but yours didn't come close to comparison. Please tell your waitress to be on top of her game especially to first timers. read more

First time here! Fantastic service and great hookah. I was introduced to a new Hookah Flavor called Pirates Cove!

The best hookah bar we've been to in Chi-Town! We were pleased with the crowd, the ambiance & especially the service! The Egyptian Brothers who own this place are great! They are friends with Starbuzz & Khalil Mamoon owners! My fiancé has a blast being able to share friends from the same industry! We are coming from Los Angeles, California and would recommend this place for the people who want to smoke a good bowl in town! Number one thing is how clean this place is too! New hoses are my fave when it comes to hookahs! A+ read more

Update your hours of operations. Drove here from the south side just told be told they closed at 2.

Comfortable place for smoking good hookahs, service is excellent! Never regret to be there!

Pathetic place. Very rude staff. Got the flavor wrong and refused to change it. Got the check when asked to fix the hookah. Bad experience.

Omg this hookah is so good. The guy that served us i don't if he's the owner but he is very pleasant.

Ok so this is an updated review. Somethings from my 1st review is the seating of the lounge. they are ok on one side, other side (couches) is more comfy. But the Hookahs here are absolutely Amazing! Hats of to the guy who makes their hookahs, i think his name is Jihad, amazing guy. These hookahs take you back home, ive finally found a middle eastern-esque hookah place in chicago :D and for crazy night owls like myself. this is the place, theyre open late (they close around 4am) on weekdays! this place is definitely worth a try if you havent been here yet, youre missing out! :) read more

I was excited to check out Cairo Nights hookah lounge but boy was I disappointed. The service was horrible the waitress barely spoke any English and was very inattentive. The atmosphere was disappointing just filled with guys and no women in the entire place. The hookahs were ok that's why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 star. So we ask for the bill and it finally comes after 15 minutes, to my surprise the waitress charged us for an additional hookah and water. We never received any type of apology from her or the manager and they had the nerve to ask for an additional tip on top of the 15% that they already charge. Please do me a favor check out My Hookah cafe on Lincoln/California for great service and atmosphere. read more
