I don't come here all that often anymore because I really don't smoke hookah too much anymore, but this is by far the best hookah bar I have ever been to. The staff is very nice and is always welcoming, and the leather couches and chairs are so comfy. Easily the most comfortable hookah lounge I have been to. They also have free wifi which is nice. The ambiance is so chill, and they always have popular music playing. They also have TVs, but they don't have normal programs on, they always play some sort of music video, though the music videos do not match the music which is kinda weird, so they are never actually synched to each other... This place is cash only so that is something to remember when you come here. They do have an ATM at the back of the lounge, but your bank does charge you to use it (like 7 cents, but still). The one bad thing about this place is the parking situation. They do have a parking lot, but it is so small and this place gets so busy on weekends that parking can be such a problem. Another thing that is annoying is that I was hanging out with two of my friends, but one of them didn't want to smoke, and the nonsmoker is charged $5 just for being there. Like I get you need to make money, but I would have been so angry if I didn't smoke and I had to pay for it. The price for a hookah is I think $12 a person, so that's not bad at all, and you can share a hookah, but there is a fee for that (I honestly forgot how much). So I am a huge hookah fanatic, and I know my hookah. I smoke almost everyday and I pack it pretty good too. I know that not everyone can pack incredible hookah so my expectation were no that high to begin with. It was one of my friends birthday and we decide to go there since he lives close to the area we lives in We went in and order lemon mint which is our usually flavor and you can't go wrong with it as it is very rare to make it wrong where it's very harsh. I guess that rare occasion happened this time, this was very harsh from the start. I am ok smoking harsh hookah sometimes but I could not even smoke this one, let alone my friends. I asked the server to change the flavor as it is harsh, so he basically went to the back and pack another bowl and brought it to us. The second time, the hookah was better but still a little harsh for my friends After 20 mins, the coals were burnt out so we asked to replace them, which they should without asked us at the first place, it took 15 mins more to get just coals. Lastly, we received the change and it turn out that it was $32 for one hookah and 2 water bottles. That is pretty expensive. Hookah bars are moving further and further outside the city limits. I thought it was an interesting space. I think it was a bread store. My friend and I went there on a Monday night night when it was quiet and no one else there. Our waitress came up to us quickly and gave us menus that listed a ton of drinks and different tobaccos. They didn't have my drink-blue Monster but they did have a sugar free Red Bull which was just as good. The layout of the place is huge-with a whole bunch of really comfortable, overstuffed leather chairs, already it's a great place to chill out. The tobacco we got pomegranate was interesting-never had it before but it was kind of flavor wise. I can see though that compared to some other choices how it can be a weak one-it's not like pomegranate is a really super distinct flavor. We got there around 12:45 and by the time the worker brought out our hookahs, it was damn near 1:15. There was no mention that they closed at 2:00am nor did the staff just give a heads up that "hey, just an FYI before you send money in this establishment, we close in 45 minutes." It wasn't until 1:45am that all the lights went on and they said they were getting ready to shut down the shop. First, I paid $47 for a hookah and two cups of ice, rip off. Second, you're telling me after the fact that I've paid my money that I have 45 minutes to smoke??? Where they do that at? Another thing is the worker, a young Indian boy was very flirty and annoying...he would not get out my face. The customer service was awful. My friend and I told the workers that we thought they closed at 4am; they said the hours on the door are wrong and they haven't closed at 4 since 2014. That's 8 years...8 years that it could have reflected the correct time or go to kinkos and have a cheap sign made stating you close at 2:00am... deceptive practices. I'll never be back. To top it off, we spoke with Tim the owner who was very passive aggressive over the phone and only offered to give us $10 back. No sorry or anything... and then said, you gotta leave... FOH!! This hookah lounge was nice, spacious, breezy and the lighting was perfect. I did enjoy the hookahs, you can really taste the flavors and they did not burn out fast. Every party had their own space to talk and hang out freely without bumping into their neighbors as some hookah lounges can be. I would have loved to give this place a 5 star rating but I really did not like how the manager catered to us. The server was really nice and prompt to all our requests. However, the manager refused to change the music which honestly was not enjoyable. It sounded like house music, which was just too hype for a chill ambiance and no one really can sing along and enjoy. I'm leaving this review to explain my amazing night I had at Kush Hookah. I went in last night around 2am and was greeted right away by the server. She sat me and my friends of four down. The seating is so comfortable and the atmosphere is very inviting. The pricing was perfect. We paid $12 a person for two hookahs. Can't beat that on a night out with friends. I've been there twice, once on a Wednesday and another time on a Friday. Wednesday there was a decent crowd, not too packed. They had the usual themed hookah lounge music playing, flat screens showing some arabic music videos. When I went there Friday it was packed, luckily there was aone table available and we were seated. Conversations all around were flowing, people appeared to be having a great time. I honestly had a great time with my friends. We ended up staying until 5am, the owner walked up to us around 4 and I had expected him to say "alright guys, time to close up," but he didn't. Instead he offered us some drinks that someone had left behind and said we could stay as long as we want. I joked and said "so, 7am OK?" He laughed and said "If that's what you want." Now that's what I'm talking about. Someone not pushing you out the door come 4 o'clock. We ordered a few hookahs, I'm big on the mango but the waitress brought us her own concoction and it literally blew our minds. HONEST REVIEW!! As someone whom has visited numerous hookah lounges. I find it odd that they have leather sofas and marble tables but don't have a credit card reader? They take cash only? However, I was most turned off by the fact that they were not upfront about the charges, namely 1) even though it's BYOB, there's a $5 service charge per person for those who drink; 2) although we were just 3 people and not a party of 5 or greater, they charged us 18% tip automatically; 3) and they only offer bottled water, the cheapest of which cost $2. BEWARE ADDITIONAL SERVICE FEES AND AUTOMATIC 18% GRATUITY ADDED TO BILL. If you are okay with that, bypass my review. This was my first time at this Hookah lounge. I heard good things about it, it was one of the few places still open, it was BYOB, so we decided to give it a try. The place itself was nice. It was not claustrophobic - nice and airy - and pretty comfortable. The furniture and lighting were appropriate (music, not so much) and the staff seemingly nice (the lady who seated us let us know right away that we only had an hour to enjoy our hookah, which we appreciated, even though it was a bum to go so late and have only an hour on the hookah). The hookahs they set up and brought out for us right away were very nice hookahs, the pull and flavor great. There was a different lady that took our order. She had some customer service skills but not that many. She asked us if all of us were drinking liquor, to which we answered yes, and she said okay and went to put in our order. I think her customer service was bad because when we got our bill we were SHOCKED. We ordered two hookahs ($15 apiece) and were charged $15 each for them. Then we were charged a five dollar service fee to share the hookah between two people (so a five dollar service fee per hookah), then we were charged $5 a piece (4 of us) because we brought our own liquor. On TOP of that they charged us an 18% gratuity which came out to be $10.80. So let's add that up shall we? $15+$5+$15+$5+$5+$5+$5+$5+10.80 = $70.80 So, for $70.80 we got a little under an hour of hookah for four people. RIP OFF. I would have been a little less upset if right when we ordered our hookah, the lady would have engaged us a little more asking us a) have you been here before and b) this is how it works. We were pretty much unprepared for this price which we paid that i felt ripped off. WHY ARE THEY CHARGING US A 18% GRATUITY???? for Setting up the hookah??? they should be including that in the $20 they charge us!! And what is with all of the hidden SERVICE FEES!!??? I started going alone this past year when I was still in school and needed somewhere chill to do my papers and studying, and now that I'm done with school I still sometimes go alone just to chill and watch some Netflix haha! I'm not usually a fan of hookah bars, and after some years of bad experiences at various ones around the city, I decided that unless I was literally forced into one, I was done with them. Now, I can't say that I was physically dragged into Kush, but--long story short--I really was left with no choice. As it turned out, I had a fantastic time. We were greeted immediately upon entering by a man I believe is the owner. He was so kind to us, and it wasn't fake. It was genuine, like he truly appreciated us. What I took note of right away was the fact that the place is so clean and well-kept. It has a really modern look inside, the furniture is comfortable, and spaced out so that each group has more than enough room. Fun music. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. The service was exceptional. The staff is constantly making their rounds, always on-hand for anything that you need. Everything is delivered to your table promptly and just as you want it. Very clean and "classy". Thanks to their no baseball cap policy the place can stay classy. I asked why there is a no hat policy in place. I was told it was not classy. I was told I can leave if I didn't like the policy. Even though there was someone wearing a beanie in the corner. The owner said he thinks beanies are classy, and told me I can leave if I didn't like the policy. They also add 18% gratuity to your bill and its Byob, but guess what! Last night my friends and I decided to have some hookah. We came to this place only because it occurred to be the closest one. While coming in I figured out that I forgot my ID at home so My boyfriend EVEN drove me back home to get it. Our friends have been waiting for us for 15-20 minutes and ordered a hookah. While come back I was so exited to try it. Unfortunately, I felt so upset after first try. First of all, hookah didn't have a flavor. Second, it had a bitter taste. Third, guys, what kind of rules do you have??? At least 18% gratuity is a MUST. Each hookah is only for 2 people. For any additional person is $5. My boyfriend is not a smoker at all, but only because of he tried once, waiter charged us EXTRA 5$! 2 hours limit to be in a place! What If I want to spend 3? Ridiculous! We already pay $20 per hookah, you charge $6 per refill, for what are you charging extra $5? So to conclude we spent there $35 for nothing. Would never come back read more

Five stars for the absolutely fantastic service. Even when they're super busy, the servers and managers go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. Very comfortable environment. Decent location and good hours. Free, fast wifi. High quality hookah and hoses. Good shisha. Fairly knowledgeable staff that are constantly performing heat management. I saw a few coal faux-pas, like putting a still-flaming quick light on a smoking hookah or overheating the initial head, but nothing serious. They allow cigarettes, so neighboring tables full of foul smelling high-schoolers is a mild risk. Decent ventilation mitigates that. I can understand some of the criticism of the BYOB charges, but the other price criticisms are unfounded. An hour-lasting hookah is only $15. Refill heads are only $5, which is a great deal compared to other establishments which charge for a whole new hookah. Charging for extra people is also pretty standard. Snacks and beverages are well-priced. Overall this is one of the better places I've been to in the U.S. By far the best you'll find in the area. read more

Parking is always easy to find by Kush and you will never waste time looking for parking. 2. The decor is pretty modern with very comfortable couches and most importantly very effective ventilation so you aren't sitting in a cloud of smoke. 3. Service is absolutely fantastic from amazing flavors to fast charcoal refills. 4. I always pass by this place and finally went in. I'm glad I did. It has a very chill vibe, comfortable leather sofas. The environment is clean, which is a huge bonus. Let's begin with the fundamentals: Parking is super convenient which is a super plus since we don't have to search for parking compared to the other hookah spots. Decor is modern and hip which gives the place a very chill vibe. I must say I'm not a fan of the music videos nor the music (sometimes). I'm just there for the hookah. This is a decent hookah place that is home to some serious Hookah connoisseurs. The employees know what they're talking about. The main girl who works there knows her stuff and is even a bit of a mixalogist when it comes to Hookah. You'll see a buncha hookah connoisseurs here who bring in their own hookah contraptions to use there to use. It's a hookah culture in here.. The first place that I've seen that at and I've been to at least 5-6 hookah places in Chicago. I went with one of my friends this summer.
