Having a shot with Malört and coconut was an interesting way to begin the night. The live music was fantastic, the beer tasted like champagne, and the patio was a beautiful spot for a superb Monday night out. Corgis inside were so cute! read more

I Had A Very Disappointing Experience At Rogers Park Social. I Am Currently Dealing With Back Issues And Was Unable To Sit Comfortably In The High-Top Chair At Our Table. I Politely Asked The Waitress Whether I Could Switch One Chair So I Could Sit Comfortably. Rather Than Offering A Simple Solution, She Abruptly Told Me That She Could Not Accommodate The Request. We Then Respectfully Asked The Guests At The Nearby Table Whether They Were Using The Chair, And They Kindly Confirmed That They Were Not. We Moved It To Our Table Without Disrupting Anyone, And The Waitress Did Not Raise Any Concern Afterward. That Made The Initial Refusal Especially Frustrating. This Was A Small, Reasonable Request That Would Have Had No Impact On Other Guests Or The Staff. Instead, I Was Made To Feel Like An Inconvenience. It Was Also A Sunday Evening When The Venue Was Not Crowded At All. After The Initial Interaction, Our Server Never Came Back To Check On Our Table Or Ask Whether We Wanted To Order Additional Drinks. The Bartender Eventually Had To Come Out From Behind The Bar To See If We Needed Anything. For A Group Of Five, That Level Of Attentiveness Was Disappointing. A Venue That Promotes Itself As Welcoming And Accommodating Should Be Prepared To Make Basic Seating Adjustments For Guests With Mobility, Injury, Or Back-Related Concerns And Should Provide Consistent Service Throughout The Visit. Based On Our Experience, We Will Not Be Returning. read more

Just stumbled across this as we were going back into the "heart" of Rogers Park. We were welcomed by Riley and helped us with the beer and drink selection. A bit crowded for 6:00 on a Tuesday but we did manage a high top against the wall for 3. (there were 4 of us) BUT...after just a few minutes we had a couch and chairs. Very comfortable and very great for conversation for as crowded as it was. We were pleasantly surprised. Riley also recommended a fantastic local "real" pizzeria. Pleasant surprise indeed. read more

A wonderful experience on New Year's Day. Here's the link for the menu https://rpsocial.square.site/s/order We had a great service experience from the one server working, and the overall look of the place was festive from the holidays. If it looks like it's full when you first walk in, make sure you ask somebody for the place where you can sit in the room... versus the bar. And bring your dog! We saw several people with well behaved pups in there. An employee from a local pizza place walked around offering individual pizzas to buy. I also noticed they had an outdoor heated enclosed patio. read more

This is still a very cool, hidden-away little place, with great cocktails, but there has been one major change for the worse since I was last there a few months ago. I dropped by last night around 11 PM, opened the door to walk in, and was immediately approached by a staff member who told me that the bar was "at capacity", and nobody else was being allowed in at the moment. I then realized that a small group of people standing outside weren't just chatting and having a smoke - they were waiting to get in. I haven't been at a single bar in Chicago in the last few years that was enforcing any policy like that, unless it was some packed downtown nightclub, and this place was far from packed. They couldn't have decided to start turning away customers like that for any reason other than that the staff decided to do it. I pointed out to the bartender (when I finally got in) that the pandemic had been over for years, and she breezily replied, "Oh, it's still going on." As a result, the crowd inside will always be a lot thinner than it used to be, and consequently, the experience will be a lot less fun, aside from the insult of being told one would have to wait to come in, or just leave. I can't see how this new policy will do anything but hurt their business, and I'm not planning on going back. read more

This is the best neighborhood spot. Truly come as you are. TOP shelf delicious artisan drinks. Comfy seating for date night or good catch up visits with your besties. Games and tables for fun times. This place is a keeper! read more

Aside from RPS being a 5 minute walk from us it's the cutest little neighborhood bar around. The drinks rotate with the season and the bartenders are knowledgable and really friendly. They offer outdoor covered patio seating and indoors is a little dark but it fits with the general vibe. Drinks are 10/10! Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood! read more

Came in for Pride North and Staff slayed. Non stop for a bar to do full drinks all night is a choice but the staff did the job. Glad to live in this neighborhood. read more

Went to this spot and was treated with so much respect and love. I vowed even though I'm coming from the southside that I'll be back!

Super cute spot with outdoor seating and a vibrant inside. Quality wines and cocktails as well with a partnership with the picnic provisions store next door. The vibe is so good I had good memories here with a guy I dated that I couldn't stand. read more

The first time I was here was to celebrate the birthday of two good friends back in 2020. It was an amazing time and The Queen and I had a great time. The Doctor had been under the weather and did not go with us. I kept telling him we needed to go so he could experience it as well, but COVID went into full swing, and we never made it. This year we made it over there and during an absolutely day. I had no idea that they had an outdoor area, which was just adorable! The last time I was there, they had four four bottles of sparkling wines. This visit I saw that there were six and I loved it. This time I got a Gouguenheim Sparkling Malbec Sparkling Rosé from Tupungato, Mendoza. Very interesting choice and I enjoyed it very much. That was my first experience with a Malbec, and I loved it. The Queen got a Moscato because she loves the sweet drinks (me not so much). There are also non-alcoholic beers for folks that are either watching the diets or just want a drink without the alcohol. And of course, those lovely cocktails if you are into those. Our server was also the bartender but was on point taking care of both areas. Definitely was all around pleasant and fun to talk to. And we discovered that this place does cocktail and drinks delivery! So, if you are not feeling like venturing out, order in. The physical space itself is warm and inviting, although on the small side. But man I will be back here when the weather is nicer because that outdoor area is so nice! read more

We will live in the neighborhood and have been going to this diamond in the rough for several years. The service and artesian cocktails have always been a hit. For the first time, we utilized their space for a private party. Erik and Wally were outstanding. The most easy-going team to plan with. They made everything so stress free. A big thank you to LP for her friendly service. Love this place! read more

Such a cozy space! Had a cocktail and the service was great. Would be great for a group of friends

It's an acquired taste but cozy all around. They have some lewd artwork up if that's your thing. My review of their old fashioned is 8/10 read more

If you're in Rogers Park... chances are you know Rogers Park Social. This beloved hangout and bar is a true social center in this neighborhood- one that keeps up with atmosphere, food, and friendly vibes. Check out the bloody mary bar. I don't drink- and this was still super fun. Their variety of mixes, toppings, and accompaniments make it a memorable and DELICIOUS experience. Not to mention their very sweet and familiar bartenders, and the outdoor covered patio that feels like a colorful lounge in some exotic, dense city of the renIssance, Rogers Park Social is a great spot. Don't forget to bring some takeout with you, to go with your delicious drinks. read more

It was a good experience all around. Good service and attentive bartenders despite it being slammed. No food, but they have a policy that lets you BYOF. Drinks were strong. I needed a carb sponge after two. I love that this is my neighborhood bar. It's a gem of a place. read more

My friend has been a loyal customer to RPS for the last 4 years and I was eager to check it out as I have heard about their welcoming, inclusive environment. Unfortunately I immediately felt profiled and targeted the moment upon arrival. The other customers were very kind and friendly, I just hope the staff and culture can better reflect the inclusivity they're known for, because everyone deserves to feel welcome here. read more

I came here for a graduation party recently. It was a bit tricky to find. But they have outdoor seating, a nice bar area, and a few places to sit. It kind of reminds me of Sparrow in Old Town with that old fashioned feel. The bar tender was so nice and they have a great selection of tasty cocktails. I had The Socialite, which was so good! This one is my favorite. The other cocktail I had was the Girl in Red. It was good, but had some heat. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here. I wish I lived closer. Otherwise, I would be a frequent customer. read more

An elegant neighborhood feel. Bartenders and owners are very nice and knowledgeable. I love the energy and atmosphere here.

Rogers Park Social is a hidden gem in Chicago! The drinks were tasty and not overly iced. Artwork and ambiance are really cool. They were open late when we were looking for a place to relax after a busy day in Chicago. Bartenders were attentive and knowledgeable about the Rogers Park neighborhood. I really liked this bar! The bartender is awesome! He's such an artist! Makes amazing drinks! They don't have a kitchen but you can have food delivered there. They also give to go drinks! We wandered in for a late night drink and I was so pleased we did. We then continued to wander in almost every night we were in town. Bartenders, Drew & Dustin, took such great care of anticipating what we would enjoy with just a couple quick questions. We tried quite a few different cocktails and while most were extremely good, there was one I didn't love. They tweaked it knowing what I had liked so far and it turned into a favorite! After one night, we were recognized and treated like regulars. The Social is clean. The other guests were all so friendly too. We had such fun interactions during every visit! This is not a dive bar, but rather a destination for some quality and thoughtful cocktails or beer. They have a really nice outdoor seating area that was so welcoming with cozy spots to sit and engage in conversation. This is a can't miss stop if you're in the area! read more

ROPO Social has been my go-to neighborhood haunt for the past few years, but I may no longer be returning after a particularly bizarre experience. I've noticed a few strange personalities behind the bar in the past, but have never interacted with the bartenders from last night before. Upon our entering, both bartenders fell completely silent to stare, which prompted everyone sitting at the bar to turn and stare at us in silence. No hellos or friendly greetings from the employees, just a snappy, "IDs?" then they studied our IDs in uncomfortably long silence. After returning our IDs, the bartender turned and walked away without a word (wtf?!) leaving us to find a menu ourselves and to track down someone to take our order ourselves. When we asked this bartender if they had any playing cards in the bar (a valid question we thought, since they had some board games up for grabs) he literally said, "I don't know. Why?" I don't know buddy, why do you think? He may have been drunk or on something else, as I can't think of any other possible excuse for this behavior. If you are set on coming here, be prepared for an off-putting experience (unless it's every other Wednesday, the trivia guy rocks!!) Disappointed to be writing this bar off, as it has the potential to be a cozy, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for fostering community, perhaps with better employees at the helm. read more

Wonderful space for the community, service, atmosphere, and drinks! Last time I came they had a free snack bar full of delicious treats

I took away one star only because they don't have food. They do however recommend places nearby for food which you can bring back to eat. Love the neighborhood vibe and everyone in there was super friendly. I actually went out for food and left my coat there. When I returned the lady who was watching it was gone and so was my coat. The guys from the bar knew her and contacted her. She dropped off my coat with a $20 apology in the pocket. I've lived in RP for over 50 years and this is why I love it! read more

Great place to get an amazing cocktail. The vibe is always right. It does get a bit crowded on the weekends so go early.

Mildly off putting evening. Decided to stop in for a drink with roommate. Talked to host, made sure we could sit at bar. Sat down. Not too busy inside but aware that bartenders were making drinks for orders. Waited seated at bar for almost ten minutes. No acknowledgement by bar staff, no order taken. Ok, maybe too busy? Couple comes in sits down next to us, gets greeted immediately, and drink order taken within a minute. Intentional? I certainly hope not. Decided to walk out as our money wasn't worth the service. Going to give another chance as this is our local bar and we both try to give them our business. Perhaps a fluke. Sad though, and hoping it doesn't happen again. read more

The walls, carpeted slickly with shredded magazines, carefully woven into a super rad wallpaper; the drinks, eclectically and stiffly mixed; the environment, half hipster, half Mad Men living room, have all created the perfect place to sip on good beer and cocktails, surrounding oneself by pretentiously unpretentious people, to the low-key and community-esq vibe that is--Rogers Park. I've enjoyed my visits to RPS. When I've been in there, there wasn't loud music. (In fact, I think there was NO music). This is nice because you can actually talk. Also, something I very much appreciate is that not all of the tap beers are IPAs. Sure, there are a handful that I like (see Hailstorm Brewing), but sometimes you want something sessionable and yummy. Last weekend when I was there, they had Surly Bender-- usually if there is Bender, it's their Coffee Bender, which is yummo, sure, but not necessarily what you want at 10 p.m. For a great community hangout, you can't go wrong with RPS. (You might have to dodge an annoying hipster or two, but you can handle that). read more

They always have great seasonal drinks! A nice patio out front to enjoy cocktails on.

A Rogers Park institution! This is where you come to feel like a fabulous local. Drinks are on point and yes you will make friends here. Everyone is welcome from every identity (including babies, kids, and dogs). They have a great patio if you're lucky enough to snag a seat, but also bar seating and tables inside. They don't have a kitchen, but often food trucks will be parked nearby, and you're also encouraged to order something local for delivery. They do offer a few snacky items like bags of fancy popcorn or a charcuterie board. If you're looking for a fun place to go for drinks in the far north side, this is it. read more

Overall: Great vibes and great drinks, RPS is a great cozy spot for some classy but affordable drinks. The good: As soon as we walked in the atmosphere is palpable...and in a good way. The lighting is moody and unique, from the cozy couches to the wall of lit taps in the back. Great little decor all over the place too. The drinks are unique and classy but not overpriced. Lots of unique cocktail options, and a decent amount of beers too. The not-so-good: The barkeeps were noticeably slow after the drinks are ordered. The music was odd at times, whether it was cut off randomly, too loud, or did a 180 tonally. Atmosphere: 10/10 Service: 8/10 read more
