Technician used no drop cloths and the old pipes busted through and showered my basement and furniture in black gross water. I had things moved out of the way but it splattered all over. He cleaned some in the kitchen but after he left I saw there was splatter all over the kitchen, on appliances, and into the hallway. The technician said, "That sucks, but it happens." Then collected payment and left. I followed up with SOS with two emails and have gotten no response. Hugely disappointed. I even pointed out to the tech that the pipes were ancient as my home is 100 years old; he said, they actually don't look bad.

I can't recommend Sparrow Plumbing and Valentino highly enough. They've been a lifesaver and saved…read moreme hundreds of dollars. The first job Valentino handled for me was repairing a leaking shower temperature regulator after another plumbing company had already made three separate visits and still failed to fix the issue. Valentino quickly diagnosed the problem, repaired it correctly on the first visit, and went the extra mile to ensure everything was adjusted and working perfectly before he left. Since then, Sparrow Plumbing has been my first call for any plumbing need. They've handled everything from installing plumbing for a new washer and dryer to repairing my home's main water line. Recently, I discovered my home had excessively high water pressure. Sparrow Plumbing came out quickly, installed a new pressure-reducing valve (PRV), adjusted the pressure to a safe 70 PSI, and even replaced my main water shutoff ball valve at no additional charge. It's that kind of service that keeps me coming back. Every experience has been the same: honest advice, fair pricing, prompt service, and exceptional workmanship. It's rare to find a contractor who consistently delivers this level of quality and professionalism. The only thing I wish is that Sparrow Plumbing offered more home services, because I would gladly hire them for those too. Their plumbing work is absolutely top-notch, and I recommend them without hesitation.

I had meant to take care of this sooner but time got away from me…read more We had our water heater go on the fritz the day before we were scheduled to leave town for a week and we were over a barrel. Our normal plumber wasn't available and we couldn't find anyone that could come to take care of that before we left town until we contacted Sparrow. Came out that day and given the age of the heater we knew a new was gonna happen. And yeah, I'm the type thats suspicious of a craftsman that has immediate availability. Its usually for a reason. He came in and hauled the old one out and installed the new one and we haven't had any issues with it in the four months since the install. I had already researched what the price "should" be and he was in line with that. A bit of a talker, but cool, professional and did a quality job. Very happy with the result. Would use again.

They quoted me the $99 "any drain" price plus a service fee and taxes so total was $138. They called before arrival as promised. I saw no company truck but rather what appeared to be a pickup with a trailer containing all the equipment. Technician was very polite. He removed his street shoes before entering the residence and maintained a clean working area while working. No cleanup was required after he left. He tried to power out the clog with his snake several times but without success. The final location of the clog was pin pointed, but he was unable to remove it. The Tech called the office twice to advise and seek consultation on next steps. At 2 hours he was done trying and told me they would have to send others over to cut, clean or replace some of the pipe once they found the source of the plugging. (He said he was only a pipe cleaner) Fortunately for us when he removed his powered snake for the last time, a small opening developed in the clogged area and that allowed us to work the material loose and finish the job. Success!! When I asked him if we could power jet the line to assure all the debris was removed he told me power jetting was $600 (both would give me $150 discount coupon) I decided to cut my losses at this point and hope we got it all. Overall I would say the tech was very professional and did not give me any hard sales pitches. I would hire these guys again I think as the price was competitive. Not sure they will be around however since they appear to be a newly established business with no business address...Makes a person wonder...

We recently purchased a house built in the late 1960's - we like to think of it as a blank slate…read more The house had several plumbing projects that we knew about when we purchased it. So shortly after moving in we began to look for a plumbing company. Through some internet searching and review reading- I decided to call Gray Duck Plumbing. So glad I did! Dan came out provided us with detailed estimates for all of the projects- including options for us to consider as well. That's when the fun began - he was able to begin work that very day! While there was more work and a few surprises (we expected there would be) Dan walked us through what he discovers and options to fix it. We found ourselves having to fix a bunch of DIY projects that were done half-assed (sorry - that's the nicest way to say it) that should have been done by a professional the first time. I appreciate the honesty, patience, quality, and commitment Dan and Gray Duck Plumbing provided to us. We learned about the plumbing system in our house from Dan. This has helped us understand and to be better homeowners. Dan and Gray Duck Plumbing are who we will call for plumbing needs, period. You should too! Ticking sounds in the wall while heat is on. DRHorton ordered them to come last December. The guy came and identified the ductwork pipe causing that sounds and decided to just pull the vent register out couple of times. This covered up the issue for half a day and the ductwork went back to its original position. Ticking sounds back. DRHorton coordinated them to come again together with floor guy to open the floor and fix the issue. This time, same guy came and what he did is simply shifted the main vent a bit. Of course it let the sound go for the moment but that is not a solution! We told him that he did similar thing last time. He first refused to admit he had come fixing it before, after we provided more details he called his manager and finally admitted he had an unsuccessful fix last time. Then he said I had to go, my manager said that is just natural sound of a house. What the fuck? Your manager was not even here! When and how did he get the super power to hear a sound remotely and determine that's the natural sounds?! Yep, 10 min after he left and the sound is back again. We ran into him two houses away from ours about 1 hour after he left, and let him know that the sound was back. He did not give it a shit and refused to spend 5 min to come and listen. That's how Elander cares about their quality of work.
