I set up online an appointment for Monday morning. Morning came and went with 1 text message saying they were delayed. Afternoon came and went with another message saying I was rescheduled to Wednesday. I again requested morning service. Finally at 5pm my tech showed up after I tried to cancel the service call. This was a simple repair, removing a small leaky valve, it took less than 30 min. But the tech first said he had to inspect all of my water systems, telling me my water heater was 10 years old and my softener was not working. I did not request these inspections. He then sat in the van for half an hour talking to his manager. Then he hit me with the incredible repair price. Probably double what other companies charge but now he's here so let's get it done. You'd think this company is wonderful from their TV commercials but beware, not good.​

It also was not available. She asked me to hold on while she looked at Scratch and Dent items. Then she gave me the model number of that one. It was $898, which was way above the $625 we had. I told her we would have to pass on that one. This is where she went above and beyond what you would expect. She asked me if I would wait a minute. When she came back, she told me the manager was offering it to us for $599, although she couldn't find a scratch or dent on it anywhere. My husband and I both exclaimed, SOLD! Then she did something I would never have expected from a representative of an appliance store. She asked our particulars, such as name, address, etc. Then she put SOLD on the stove without us paying a penny on it. That next day, we went to see our new stove. It is way beyond what we had intended to purchase. Not only is it beautiful but it has all the bells and whistles that, normally, cost way above at other appliance stores. She did the transaction with us and we got our stove the next day. It only cost us $25 tax along with the $625 that was gifted to us by a friend, who is with the ministry we are with. As if this wasn't enough. My husband talked to Tony about our washing machine agitator. The top had been broken. He fixed it with a new top and only charged us $30. We found out you can also buy appliance needs, such as flexible gas lines, from them. When we need, or anyone else does, we are recommending Tony's Appliance for our next purchase because they treated us as customers should be treated.

I didn't have to rely on their say-so; the evidence was in right in front of me. They explained the issues with my old furnace and discussed options tailored to my house and needs. At no time did I feel pressured to buy an expensive new furnace; their service reps shared information and I made the decisions. The estimator discussed options and alternatives with me, giving me information to make the decision about which brand to replace my old one with. We had gotten another quote and they came in significantly under that. The installer was on time, friendly and professional. He explained in detail what he was doing as he did it and completed the entire process in about 45 minutes. And the price quote upfront was what it ended up being on the final bill. After dealing with other vendors that always seemed to be trying to upsell me, it couldn't have been a better experience. Northern Plumbing wanted over a $1000 higher price for the same water heater that a competitor charged me. The Northern Plumbing plumber that came to my home was very good, courteous and knowledgable but the current and past owners of Northern Plumbing overcharged me and the quality of their work was very poor. Buyer beware!
