    Outrageously overpriced service with continuous attempt to upsell and push for even more expensive equipment replacement instead of handling repair . Prices are based on some kind of "work packages " where no one can even explain how the package set and what makes the price with complete refusal of giving price breakdown . I have to say that my problem with AC leak in thermostat expansion valve was fixed ( at ridicules price for that) , but quality of work is inconsistent and depends on technician . After first visit I noticed sloppy brazing on repaired line and had to call them back to fix it again. I do not think I will ever use GR again.

    Warning to homeowners--especially first-time buyers. We…read morecontacted Roto-Rooter requesting a plumber to evaluate a ceiling stain. There was no active leak, no standing water, and no emergency--just a stain. Despite this, the situation was presented as urgent and severe, creating pressure to act immediately. Within 10-15 minutes of arrival, we were asked to sign authorization paperwork without a clear explanation of what we were agreeing to or the true necessity of the work. Instead of sending a plumber on day one, a water mitigation team was dispatched immediately, and a plumber did not arrive until three days later. We were under the impression that a plumbing assessment would occur before any invasive work. We later learned that had a plumber evaluated the issue first, the ceiling opening could have been significantly smaller--less than one-quarter of what was cut. Even the professionals who later repaired the ceiling confirmed the demolition was excessive and unnecessary. The billing practices are deeply concerning. After-hours pricing was applied broadly, including to materials, which do not change in cost based on time of day or federal holidays. While labor rates may vary, materials do not. Applying after-hours rates and O&P to materials feels like intentional inflation, not cost-based pricing. Nearly every line item appears maximized, and while we were able to prove a few clear discrepancies (such as drywall square footage), many others remain questionable. It is also hard to ignore how differently services are priced when insurance is involved. As out-of-pocket customers, we lacked the leverage insurers have to challenge inflated charges, and that imbalance appears to have been exploited. Independent professionals have since told us this entire issue--including repair--should have cost under $2,000. Instead, we were led into a far more invasive and expensive process under the false impression that immediate action was required. Any later attempt to reframe correcting improper after-hours pricing on materials as a "goodwill gesture" is misleading. Accurate pricing is not a favor--it's a basic obligation. This experience reflects poorly on Roto-Rooter's practices and their treatment of customers acting in good faith. I would strongly caution others to get independent opinions before proceeding, especially if you are told something is an "emergency" when it clearly is not.

Said they would check my warranty on my disposal and give me an estimate on whether the repair would be covered. Left my home. I received an email estimate to totally replace my 2 year old disposal for over 725.00. No warranty coverage was found. I turned down the estimate. I googled how to fix a disposal and found an Alan wrench to fix it. It remains functional and unstuck. I was mad. I felt Mr Maison plumbing and drain company did not do a thorough inspection of my disposal before announcing it was dead. Exploiting me and my stuck disposal for maximin profit. I sent an email describing my unhappiness around the service I received and sent a picture of an Alan wrench as a possible tool they may use in the future to help with their diagnostics. I received an email back stating never to contact them and their staff again and I was the problem. Avoid this company. Professional and honest delivery of their service and respect for the customers experience is absent.

    I love these guys. Have had to use them on three occasions. They handled the same day…read moreinstallation of a water heater on short notice during a snowstorm for us last winter at a fair price. They came to our home and took a look at a pipe that we thought might have to be moved to facilitate the installation of a new dishwasher. After taking a look they told us that it wasn't really necessary and didn't charge us for the trip out. Finally, they installed a new kitchen faucet for us today after calling yesterday afternoon. We had gotten another quote and they came in significantly under that. The installer was on time, friendly and professional. He explained in detail what he was doing as he did it and completed the entire process in about 45 minutes. And the price quote upfront was what it ended up being on the final bill. After dealing with other vendors that always seemed to be trying to upsell me, it couldn't have been a better experience. If you live in their service area I HIGHLY recommend calling them first if you have plumbing problems. I have a thing for fast, honest, quality service.

I bought a Delta Kitchen Faucet, the Greydon Pull down, TOUCH type faucet-"AA" battery operated....Greg did a wonderful job and took his time, and is super friendly, and NOT in a Hurry at all....he made sure that there were no leaks prior to leaving,,and i will definitely use him in the future, vs my old standby Genz Ryan, as They are approx. twice the money for the same work....LOVE Apple Valley Plumbing Co...and wont use anyone else in the Future !! thanks Greg !!!!
