I was feeling very under the weather and my husband offered to pick something up. He suggested Salween Thai and I happily obliged! I ordered the Pad See Yew with beef for myself. Despite being pretty stuffed up, the flavors were still great. My daughter got the kids chicken friend rice, which I wish had some veggies included. Overall, things were great. I just wish the temperature was a little warmer. We live about 5 minutes away and even after opening my food almost immediately after my husband got home, it was pretty cold. He said he waited for a bit to get it. Hopefully just a one-off.

Salween is my absolute go-to for Thai food. I was craving pad Thai last week and ordered from door dash. It hits the spot every time!!! I'm literally drooling thinking about it again. The spice level always hits and the flavor is unmatched. Another favorite of mine from there is the chicken satay skewers and the pineapple curry. This place does not miss!

This is the place to be if you're craving Thai food in Omaha! I had the red curry and pad see ew and was delicious. However, I did order some food for takeout and service can be very slow. Price is reasonable here as well will great portion. Highly recommend!

So after a long work day I'm feeling Thai. So I ordered takeout from Salween Thai. Hands down the best Thai for I've had here in Omaha. The food has so much flavor. I love their green curry with vegetables. I prefer it in the vegan option the basil drive rice is a must and the fried meatballs in the pork is really good. The service is great as well.

Salween Thai is my favorite restaurant! Everything I've tried from this place has been delicious, and the quality is excellent! The food was ready pretty quickly and everyone who helped us was very nice. Will always come back to Salween!

Hands down the best place in Omaha to have Thai food. The food never disappoints, quick service and plenty of amazing dishes to choose from.

This was a to go order and I was so excited to grab my food after work to only be disappointed! 1st the sampler: the 2 small fish cake tasted like it was store bought from the freezer aisle. The 1 piece of shrimp roll & egg roll wasn't anything to be impressive about and the samosa was very dry on the inside even though it was fried or maybe because there was just mainly potato inside. The pad see ew was flavorful but the carrots & broccoli were undercooked & hard still and the portion to price was not worth it. I opened my box and it looked like it could've been someone's leftover from dining in. The parking to the place was also a mess, this was at 730pm cst, you had people parking behind cars trying to get into the parking lot and people that were parked in front of the restaurant trying to leave but couldn't cause there was a car parked right behind them.

Food is delicious and good portions. If you get curry, always order an extra rice per person because they only give you one small box of rice. The noodles are a little oily but still delicious. I usually get red or yellow curry and drunken noodles with extra white rice. This time I also got spring rolls and one of their fried rices. The spring rolls were mid. Everything else was delicious!

Great service -- The staff welcomed us with a smile, we were seated almost immediately, and we were served water as soon as we were seated. They were attentive to our table and even brought us to go boxes with the bill. Food -- I was not a fan of the fried calamari (3/5), but my chicken Pad Thai was delicious (5/5)! The spice level is from 1-10 and I got a 5. It was too spicy for me. Given this, I would recommend going a bit lower on the spice level if your tolerance to spice is not high. Ambiance -- The restaurant seating area was decorated beautifully and the booths were comfy. There was no music playing (could be a pro or con for some folks). Overall this is a great place to eat (4.5/5). The food is not too pricey and customer service was great.

Salween Thai along with Mercy Thai are in my opinion the best Thai food in Omaha. I prefer Salween Thai as it's closer to me in Benson. The drunken noodles with pork or chicken are always clutch for me along with a spring roll as an appetizer. I tend to start craving hot noods even more when it's either raining or snowing for some reason. The heat levels are no joke if you cannot handle the heat; I prefer to go with a 4 or 5, but I like the heat. The service is always fast & is great especially for takeout. The ambiance is ok, if you want to dine-in but it seems like they make a good portion of their business with takeout or delivery. I am very happy to have one of my go-to Thai food spots near me. In the picture is Panang Curry, which Kendra D, says is very good. Much recommended.

This is hands down the best thai in omaha. I have a friend that has tried many thai places here and recommended this place to me. Service Um, ed, and Maggie are genuinely some of my favorite servers in the whole world; sometimes when I go here I'm looking forward to seeing them as much as I am the food. While sometimes it can be a bit slow, that is because the kitchen is taking their time for you, no shortcuts. Food Every time I eat here I think, "it can possibly get better than last time," but guess what, it does. Every thing I have gotten here has been AMAZING, for example the drunken noodles and the pad Thai, and don't get me started on the pho, absolutely heavenly. Ambience Khao Niao has some of the best ambience. Every time you eat here you can look around and find something new. They focus on a wood interior with beautifully crafted tables and archways. Along with some little fountains 10/10 ambiance Overall Khao niao is as good as it gets, by far my favorite restaurant!

The dipping sauce had a nice sweet and tangy balance that tied it all together. You can tell everything was made fresh. The soup was just what I wanted too. Light but really flavorful broth, plenty of herbs and green onions, and comforting without feeling heavy. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the overall vibe was relaxed and easy. Great local spot when you're in the mood for fresh, flavorful Thai food. Would definitely come back.

Honestly I was really disappointed with Mercy Thai…read more The chicken wings were completely flavorless. They literally just seemed battered in panko and fried with no seasoning at all. 0/10. The crab rangoons sounded good from the description -- cream cheese, crab pieces, onion, and carrots -- but they were WAY too sweet for my taste. Not to mention there were none of the ingredients described inside?! Seems like it was only cream cheese and sugar. Then the sweet chili sauce that came with them was super watery and just made it worse. 2/10 overall. I also tried my boyfriend's drunken noodles and... mid at best Definitely not something I'd come back for. Maybe other menu items are better, but based on what I tried, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I do love pad thai itself, but I unfortunately did NOT love "I Love Pad Thai" the restaurant…read more We ordered it for delivery when we were working one day and couldn't make it out for lunch/didn't have time to make lunch ourselves. I know everywhere is better if you eat it inside, but if they offer delivery, I think that it should be about on par with what you get in the restaurant (because they certainly charge the same or more than dining in). This either was just not great from the get go, or it lost a LOT of quality in the delivery time. I don't think that's the case, because a delivery time doesn't make most of the food almost FLAVORLESS. Cold, maybe - but flavor doesn't vanish from it being delivered? So if you couldn't tell, we were not fans of almost anything we received. My Pad See Yew was literally flavorless. It tasted like WATER was used for the "sauce" on it. The chicken in it was also very stringy and dry. My husband got the Pad Thai, which did have a little bit more flavor, with the peanut sauce, but not a whole lot more. The only saving grace was the fried dumpling appetizer we ordered. Those were tasty and the dipping sauce they came with was good (it said it was just soy sauce but it wasn't super salty like soy sauce, more sweet). At almost $50 for two entrees that were basically untouched because they were so dry and flavorless, I would say order elsewhere or dine inside so you can gauge what you are getting in person.

For the price, my portion was small and the chicken had a rubbery flavor. And it was very greasy!…read moreToo bad it's in a great location.
