The first one was not an exact match, the second one was defective, so my labor fee ended up as $1000. Within hours after it was 'fixed' , I noticed the system was still not working, blowing only cold air and never shutting off. I called and he came out taking minutes to correct, but I was charged a whole new service call and labor fee ($265). After complaining, this new charge was dropped, but it is important to note that there is no guarantee on their work, even hours after finishing. I would never use Perfect Pitch again, and would look for a HVAC that charges per job, not per hour or part of.

The biggest Pro was that they were able to answer my call and have something happen with an employee showing up to my house the day of my call when another plumber failed to do the job. Another plumber wanted to come out another day which was an inconvenience to me. The guy that came here was really nice and he seemed like he knew his stuff when it came to plumbing. The guy was very professional and at least he didn't think of me as an idiot for trying to do my own Plumbing experiments. They do try to lure you to sign up for their over priced service for future repairs which help your service that day but overall this was a one-time thing. I was charged almost $500 just to basically have a line snaked! Which to me is completely overpriced. Believe it or not this is actually the average in the Chicagoland area. Me and the plumber did learn a few things about the house so I know what to do for next time. But that's the biggest negative about my experience with Mr. Rooter.

They arrived on time and immediately began to take apart my old heater, while their coworker went to get the new one. They did an excellent job installing the new water heater and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. They also took the old water heater with them, so I don't have to bother with finding a way to dispose of it myself. The fee was reasonable, carefully itemized every amount, on my statement. They were very professional and friendly to talk to. I actually felt that they cared enough to do a good job.

The plumber accessed the crawlspace to do the work, and the entire job took about an hour. I felt $483.21 was fairly expensive for the work performed, so I had called afterward and requested an itemized invoice so I could see how the $483.21 was broken down. We were told they do not provide itemized invoices and the request was refused. I understand plumbing work can be expensive and that you're paying for a professional's experience, not simply the amount of time spent at the house. However, when paying nearly $500 for a repair like this, I think asking for an itemized invoice is completely reasonable. The price itself was disappointing since the quote was half of that I was told it would be between 200-250, but the refusal to provide a breakdown of the charges is ultimately what left me dissatisfied with the experience.
