Finally showed up at 6pm, no big deal things happen. Seemed like a nice guy so the wife and I talked it over after he left and decided that we would go with his company. I texted him the next day which was a Saturday asking him to call me when he had a chance, he called 15 minutes later and I told him the news. He said that he was working that day and would stop by between 3pm and 4pm. We waited around for him and he finally called me at 6:30pm to tell me he would not be able to make it. I understand that things happen but he could have le us know with a text or something so we did not sit around waiting for nothing. He apologized and said that he had nothing to do Sunday that he can come over to get deposit and sign contract. We agreed that he would call me about 12pm. Still haven't heard from him.

I had a fairly serious electrical problem that required the replacement of the disconnect at the electric meter. Price looked high to me at first, but in researching the issue, the $2,575 was on the lower side for such work. Still, I decided to get a few more quotes. What a mistake. Of the 12 electricians I contacted only 6 returned my call. Four didn't show up, one told me my entire system was shot and needed to be replaced, and one just played games. I contacted Jay on May 19. He fit me in his busy scheduled for May 20 and 21. It was about an 8 hour job over two days. The work is professional. My disconnect was an old "fuse type" that was badly rusted and a fire hazard. Some wires were hanging unnoticed and could have been an electrocution hazard. Jay handled the project with professionalism, knowledge, and found the right electrician to handle the job. I don't mind paying what is a fair price for an excellent job.
