These shopping excursions led the ladies to open their own consignment boutique, Whimsical Resale Boutique to bring high quality yet affordable clothing to their community. I became a fan as soon as I stepped foot into this darling store. The ladies have decked out their boutique with chandeliers, fun statues, plants, and lots of pink. They offer name brand ladies clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories, and small home furnishings all at a significant savings off retail price. The ladies were so warm and welcoming and ready to help if needed. They have a well appointed dressing room if you would like to try on the clothes. I saw sales throughout the store making the already affordable clothes and accessories even more tempting. Everything was carefully organized and arranged attractively making shopping a pleasure. I visited the store first in order to pick something out for my spouse to get me for Valentine's Day. We set the bracelet aside with a lady who had the biggest attitude and absolutely ruined our shopping experience, but we still set aside the bracelet, we had my spouse go and attempt to pick up the bracelet that we had set aside under his name, which they then told him they didn't have anything set aside in the back. We told them they did because we were literally just there a few days prior so they went ahead and looked again and they found the bracelet which my spouse then purchased, within two days of receiving the bracelet one of the stones had already fallen out, so I called and let them know that the bracelet had lost a stone within the first few days, they told me to bring back in so they could fix it so we brought it back in and they said it would be done in 2-3 days, they would give us a call when the bracelet is ready... an entire three weeks passes and we have not heard from them so we called them to which they told us they hadn't even gotten the stone yet for the bracelet so they're gonna go get another stone and they would give us a call... another week goes by and we have not heard from them what so ever. I called again to which they informed us that they must have gotten our phone number wrong because they called somebody but it wasn't us. Probably the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. I would skip this place at all costs unless you're into jewelry that loses stones within a few days and playing phone tag with people who can't even get phone numbers right. No wonder this place doesn't accept refunds because they would probably go out of business with how many returns they would get.

If you like bright tropical prints, think Lilly Pulitzer, you will probably like this store of resort style clothing for women and children. Rufs is located in the St. Lucie plaza. While this plaza has seen better days, don't let the shabby exterior deter you from visiting this gem of a thrift store. Inside is a boutique like interior with tons of clothes, accessories, small appliances, and household goods. Prices are deeply discounted and everything is attractively arranged. If you have a young lady in your life in need of a formal dress for prom or homecoming, this is the place to go. Gowns which still had their hundreds of dollars price tags were marked down to $50. Another item that caught my eye was a the perfect pair of high heels for Halloween. The couple who were working the store were friendly and sweet. Come out and support this great organization while updating your wardrobe and saving money all at the same time.

I first stopped into Cardita Formal Wear about 7 years ago at the request of two friends that would…read moresoon be hosting their wedding in South Florida. They had never visited the shop themselves but wanted someone in the wedding party to stop in and help them decide between Cardita and one of large men's chain stores in the area. The owner Clifford immediately impressed me. Not just with his selection of attire, but with his passion for men's fashion and willingness to go to any lengths to make sure his clients get exactly what they want. I tried on a few different tux's and chatted with Clifford for probably an hour and half. Unfortunately, despite my raving review, the couple decided to go with the large chain store thinking there would not be much of a difference in quality or experience. Fast forward to the Thursday evening before the Saturday wedding. The groom and I met at the store to try on/pick up our tuxedos and let me tell you...they were bad. Comically bad. The pants were baggy and did not fit correctly. The shoes had no shine to them and had these really thick rubber soles. The vest and tie were not the same color the couple had picked out, and the tie felt like it was just a piece of thin cardboard covered in cloth. When the bride walked in and saw us all she could say was, "what the f@%k are you wearing?" Obviously, the couple was unhappy, but with less than 48 hours until the wedding, there weren't any options other than to take the tuxedos and accept the fact that all of the guys were going to look ridiculous on their wedding day. I told the bride to call Cardita Formal Wear on Friday morning and maybe we could arrange to rent better shoes, vests, and ties from them on short notice. She called and Clifford did one better; He agreed to completely outfit the groom, groomsman, fathers, and brothers (at least a dozen of us in total). We sent in our measurements Friday afternoon, and they had everything ready to be picked up on Saturday morning. A few of the groomsmen did not know their sizes, so they just showed up on the day of the wedding and Clifford took care of the rest. If any of the guys needed an alteration, Cardita Formal Wear did it on the spot. He taught a couple of us how to tie a bow tie and even offered to send one of his staff to the hotel that afternoon to help tie them if need be. I personally do not know of any other tuxedo shops that could fulfill an order that size so effortlessly given the time frame we were working with. Seriously impressed and everyone looked great at the wedding. Fast forward (again) to a couple of months ago when I needed a tux to attend a black-tie event. I had not spoken to Clifford in many years, but I sent him a message and let him know I would be swinging by his shop to rent a tux. When I arrived, he immediately recognized me, greeted me warmly, asked how I have been, asked how the married couple is doing (even remembered their names), and recalled the color and style of tuxedo we wore for the wedding so many years ago. He filled me in on what he has been up to and how he's leveled up his customer service since we last spoke. While there, Clifford fitted me in a tuxedo and had it altered within a few minutes, so I could take it with me and avoid another trip. I know my review is long, but I think it is important to recognize excellence in business when come across. Cardita Formal Wear is the real deal and will undoubtedly leave you impressed.
