Saltitude Himalayan Salt Cave

Saltitude Himalayan Salt Cave

Been extremely stressed out (my dad unexpectedly passed and parents live in SC, couldn't fly down…read moreimmediately.) My friend saw my distress and surprised me with an experience here. It took a while to really get into the guided imagery/zero gravity chair and become zen but I eventually got there! Walked out of there feeling so much lighter and more relaxed. Hung out in the rest/beverage and snack lounge for a while. Loved the games, books, oracle cards and tarot decks. Will absolutely be back again. I needed some peace in my life and Saltitude absolutely provided this. So greatful to my friend for this gift!

Think crystals, sage, yoga mats, etc... I had no idea the wooden door in the lobby lead you into the salt cave! It feels like you are in a cave. But it's quaint and serene with a small little opening showcasing a 'sky.' There were blankets folded as you enter and are there if you choose (I totally chose a blanket!) There were 4 lounge chairs and a recliner! We were offered yoga mats, which my daughter accepted and started laying but ended on the recliner. Also it was explained that there is salt getting blown into the room. You can't taste it but it is getting to your skin. My cozy spot was in a lounge chair with a foot stool and a blanket. The time in the cave starts with a 5 minute meditation over a speaker in the room. it's the right volume and soothing. Then you have silence. We could have talked but my daughter and I both opted to have our own experience in silence and enjoying the room. I can't lie- I totally dozed off! But as your time comes to a close, that soothing voice returns and alerts you to return to the regular world. I felt so rejuvenated. Was it the nap? Was it just relaxing? Is it the salt? I don't know but I felt good and we both loved it! Also, super hospitable! They offer coffee, tea and snacks. Whatever you want and/or need, it's offered. We will be back!

My 10 year old and I have been consistently doing the biocharger, PEMF, and RASHA therapies and have felt a cumulative lift in the respiratory and yeast related symptoms we were experiencing. My son does the RASHA (scaler energy sound therapy) for 75 minutes once per week and feels immediate relaxation and focus during and after the session, which is something he often struggles with. Most recently, I've been doing the Emsella chair (pelvic floor stimulation) and feel stronger after only 4 sessions. Nola and Rita are incredibly attentive and extremely knowledgeable in these modalities and truly understand what it means to heal the body deeply. They treat every client like family, and I'm so glad we found them.

I went for a 90 minute float tank session and left very refreshed, a great meditation -- they offered a complimentary tea and foot massage afterward to complete the experience. Facility is clean, well-designed and quite relaxing. Easy to book online and ample parking. Happy to have found a local business that is so well-run, and well-equipped for therapies that can be difficult to find on the South Shore. Will be back any time I need a reset.

I visited the salt room for the first time because I wanted to take the destress yoga class, and I…read morereally had no idea what a "salt room" was. Missy came in and explained how the salt was dispersed through the air and went into detail about all the benefits from halo-therapy. Again, I didn't even know what a salt room was before I walked in the door, so all these benefits were a huge plus! The destress yoga class led by Mimi is such a nice way to stretch and then relax with meditation. Mimi is a great teacher and so welcoming to all her students. This class is refreshing and always helps me to center and recharge. The guided meditation class with Francesca is the ultimate class to sit back and relax. The meditations are thoughtful and she gives each guest a healing and reading. I really enjoyed this class! My first night after visiting the salt room I fell asleep and stayed asleep for one of the best nights of sleep I have had since before kids! I woke up with a general feeling of well being and calmness. I have noticed this experience after every visit! I have been visiting the salt room almost weekly for classes and I have breezed through my yearly allergy season with no congestion! I truly believe my visits to the salt room have helped me through this allergy season. Everyone I have met that works at Just Breathe has been caring, welcoming and knowledgeable. Just Breathe has a wonderful community of positive, uplifting individuals. Every class has such a positive energy and they are very welcoming to "newbies". If you are thinking of visiting Just Breathe, go for it! I am so glad I did and look forward to my next visit!

I've never understood why New England doesn't have more of a spa culture, so I'm genuinely glad…read morethis place exists - and overall, it's quite good! If I weren't a bit biased from being spoiled by Canadian and West Coast Korean spas, I'd probably give it 5+ stars. I love that there's a cold plunge, plenty of relaxation rooms, an unlimited stay, and massage chairs. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the facilities feel clean and well maintained. A few minor improvements would really take this place to the next level: - The steam rooms and hot saunas could be hotter. - The cost is steep. I fully understand that my expectations are colored by $30 West Coast spas, but a slightly lower price point would make frequent visits easier to justify. - The locker room/wet area was very loud. I appreciate that conversation is allowed, but the volume made it hard to fully relax. I'm not sure there's an easy fix without acoustic upgrades. - The Korean food was disappointing, especially for the price. - This is very personal preference, but I do enjoy the traditional no-bathing-suits culture. Most women were wearing bathing suits, which made me feel a bit self-conscious being the only one without. Totally on me, but worth mentioning if you're expecting a more traditional spa experience. Overall, I'm happy to have a spa like this in the area and hope it continues to improve. If you've never tried a spa like this before, I highly encourage giving it a shot!!

I'm going to have to agree with some of the other reviewers that people were in the spa spaces with phones, and there was a lot of talking, which did make it hard to relax. When I was checking out, the young man at the counter, said some very weird things to me, which showed a lack of hospitality training. Someone else mentioned that when they checked in, they were given no orientation to the space and I had the same experience. It was put your shoes in a bag and here's where the locker room is. It's OK, I figured it out pretty quickly, but it might've been nice considering they were not busy at the front desk. I lived in Korea and have experienced authentic Korean bathhouses. This is not it, but I appreciate that the space exists and all different kinds of people were utilizing it.
