My family of four were visiting from out of town and we had differing views on the experience at this restaurant for an evening dinner. First of all, none of us cared for the server and thought that he was arrogant and rude while taking our order. He wasn't any help on menu choices and seemed to be in a hurry to get the orders and move on. He also only brought dinner settings for two people even though there were four of us. As for the food, the seafood tree was pretty fair as well as the skillet mac-n-cheese, but it was no different than coming out of a box on the mac-n-cheese. The grouper tacos were dry and not all that tasteful which two of us had. The shrimp poboy was pretty good for one of the people in our party. Overall, it was just a so-so dinner experience even though the restaurant is in a very scenic location on the bay. We will not be back again. read more

I have some mixed feelings regarding this location but want to factor each part on its own. We arrived after learning Fish House was booked and hoped this place would be good, and as we entered the older male musician started making sexual comments at the females in our group. We rolled our eyes and went to the host stand about 7pm on Saturday and we were seated directly in front of the musician. He kept yelling remarks (usually very sexual in nature) at women and towards our table, harassing them heavily about breast or ass size which was uncalled for and obnoxious after the second time and carried through each consecutive remark for hours (and there was a LOT). The musician stated he would only play songs if my friend would hold the harmonica behind him and touch him, and he made comments about her boobs the whole time and tried guessing her cup size. I was shocked and creeped out by the level of disrespect shown by the musician and although he was fun at times, his gross, heavily sexualized comments left me feeling really gross. I'd maybe recommend to him to tone down the objectifying of women while they're on dates and the likes. Harassment looks good on no one, and I don't know if I'll be back after this expensive and uncomfortable experience. Our server eventually arrived and got our orders, when I ordered one drink for some reason two were brought and I was charged for both. They were not around enough for me to ask why two were brought as I wasn't at the table when drinks were dropped off so I couldn't correct it. I ordered the fried shrimp with fries and got about 6 medium shrimp for $20 and less than a half of a portion of fries. Not much food for the high price, however the shrimp quality was good and seemed to be perhaps fresh shrimp? The fries tasted old and were dark in color, they were not as high of quality. The server also ran a much higher check with my card and I had to bring it to her attention, to which she had to reverse and correct it to rerun properly. Overall, the location is the best part of this venue. It's alright for a last minute substitute but wouldn't recommend outright. read more

Came here after parasailing near by. We sat outside, their patio faces the boat docks. We arrived early enough so they were still serving breakfast. We checked out the menu and I have to say that the only thing that stood out to me and my boyfriend was the shrimp. My meal was not bad, the shrimp were born g and there was more than enough for me. Loved Mike the bartender. Very personable and makes a great vodka martini Very large raw oysters, calamari and shrimp were super tasty. They have live music on Friday nights that is sort of Mediterranean style and very nice to sit and listen to with a cocktail and check out the boats at the marina. I stopped in here last year and ordered the fish dip and a bloody mary. I've been craving this for about a year so i decided to take another vacation to Clearwater. This time I had a couple of beers and raw oysters. I do plan on stopping back in for the amazing crack dip... i mean fish dip. This is a very nice facility located in the marina. The location of this restaurant is superb- right on the marina, and they have a charter fishing boat that brings in fish and cleans them dockside. Great indoor and outdoor seating options. The first time eating here was for breakfast, where I had the Mushroom Avocado Toast- delicious! Love the 2 for $10 deal on select alcoholic beverages as well (hello bloody mary!). Our second time was quite lackluster- we grabbed a few items for lunch at the bar before we headed to the airport. The Street Corn would have been great but there was just too much crema and cotija, it was almost soup-ey. Hot skillet mac n cheese was just okay- underseasoned and was lukewarm. We had Alex as our waitress, she was fantastic , very helpful and quick. There was too many options to choose from, so hard to pick, but Alex made some good recommendations! We mainly tried the appetizers. Hands down my favorite was the oysters on the half shell and the fire roasted. Super fresh and big! The crispy snapper wings is a must order, she brought our first order and we had to order one more. So crispy and the sauce really complimented the fish. Sweet and tangy chili sauce. The steamed mussels were delicious as well. Lot of flavor with the coconut milk and lemongrass, reminded me of Thai food. The bread it came with was amazing as well to dip into the sauce. Calamari and shrimp were average, nothing special about it, I've had better. Kind of bland. My daughter loved the Mac and cheese, it was perfect with the toasted bread crumbs on top! The smoked fish camp dip was good as well, loved the jalapenos they added on the side, nice little kick to the dip. Hushpuppies were ok, not to crazy about the taste. I am used to having them dougher with some corn and a little sweeter. Bread pudding with rum sauce for dessert was excellent! Lots of flavor and big chunks of banana. The ice cream really complimented the pudding. Key lime pie was ok, a little too sweet for my liking and the texture was not what I care for. I really was hoping for more of a tart taste. They were very skimpy with the blue cheese dressing side as they came in tiny spoons where as other sauces came in deep cups. The burger was delicious very juicy and the bun was warm and soft. The fries were crispy and seasoned wonderfully. The service was average, but they were fairly quick with the service compared to some of the other reviews. Sat on the patio and ordered rwo kids meal, raw oysters, shrimp & grouoer chowder and grouper tacos. First of all, the kids meal looked top notch. My super picky daughter2 complimented the chef on her gourmet grilled cheese, and she HAD to let the server know. Daughter1's surf and turf had m3 drooling, except I was too busy enjoying my raw oysters. So fresh! I inhaled all sux in a matter of minutes. Hubby liked his tacos too. No complaints, just one suggestion, at the service bar where drinks are delivered by servers etc, why not stab the fruit for drink garnishes instead of many hands digging into containers? Went to the restaurant after deep sea fishing alll day as they were recommended to cook our catch and had good service. Once we got a table, the waiter told us he was happy we brought our own fish as they were almost out. During pre service he forgot plates for appetizers, silverware and even drinks. We had to ask him multiple times for the drinks we ordered. About an hour or so of waiting for our catch to be cooked the waiter was sent out to our table and told us that they gave our catch "11 pounds" of different fish to another table. I thought they were kidding at first and then realized they weren't. His solution was we could order anything on the menu and we would be comped 12.00 dollars a person, first of all that doesn't even cover an enteee or appetizer at this restaurant and secondly, we spent almost a thousand dollars on our fishing trip, caught amazing fish and they ruined our experience by complete incompetence. My husband asked for the manager who again he would comp 12.00 a person, he let them know they this was not sufficient and to think about the situation and what occurred, the manager preceded to tell us that the restaurant was now out of fish. Again, unacceptable and another discussion occurred. About 45 mins from being told our fish was given away to another table they told us they contacted another restaurant and obtained 15 pounds of grouper which would be free as well as the appetizers and drinks we had. We were party of 10 people and ended up waiting for food for another hour and spent a total of 3 1/2 hours in the restaurant. Even after the mistake, when the fish was brought out we had to ask for plates and napkins because he failed to bring it out with our dinner. It was an awful experience and ruined our amazing experience of fishing. I can't even put into words the no big deal attitude this place had with such a huge mistake they did. It had live music, great views of the marina, and our waitress was great. We had cocoa shrimp, the fries with the grouper, and the street corn. The only disappointment was when it came to the entree, I had the fried grouper filet and had to return, it was chewy, dry, and bland.
