Eclectic Ice Cream Shop located at the Tuscan Village in Salem NH! Very unique flavors with great ingredients! Cute little shop to stop in for a sweet treat. Employees are very friendly and happy to help you find the right flavor. Sampling is encouraged and they have cute little spoons!!

Absolutely amazing establishment serving up a selection of unique and delectable ice cream. You can sample the ice cream prior to purchase. I had the strawberry honey balsamic w black pepper. It was so pleasantly full of a robust strawberry sensation on the palate. I recommend purchasing your ice cream in their cone, which seems to be made on the premises as that is the first thing you smell when the doors open. The shop is located within an outdoor area with plenty of restaurants and even a hotel. Honestly, I live in NH and thought ,by golly, I don't want to leave this place and maybe I'll just book a room. Had it not been for coming in for my ice cream, I would not have known the plaza existed so I am very thankful. So whether you want to just grab an ice cream and go or I recommend shopping, lunch, and the best ice cream for dessert!

Wow!! Awesome ice cream, unique flavors we tried 3-4 each. I decided on the coffee & love nuts, my wife had a combo of honey lavender and arbequina olive oil. Very nice store, inside and out. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We were here on a chilly day in February, got here ahead of a line, well worth the wait if the line is long when you give it a try.

Salt & Straw is now open at Tuscan Village, between Tuscan Kitchen and The Capital Grille. This is their first location in New England. I've had their ice cream when I was in SoCal a while back. They had a ribbon cutting on July 1, 2025 for community leaders and their public grand opening was on July 2, 2025. There was a short line at the 11am grand opening with the Friendly Toast (great spot for brunch) handing out chilled lemonade refreshers in front of the scoop shop. Inside, the staff was offering free ice cream samples before buying. They also sell ice cream pints, ice cream cakes, and pup cups in the cooler. They offer several signature flavors and limited time flavors. I sampled the Goat Cheese Marionberry Habanero first, which wasn't that spicy. I got a Double Scoop Waffle Cone with Huckleberry Cornbread and Salted Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, $10.15 total. Though the ice cream and waffle cone became messy, I enjoyed the interesting flavors with the complementary refresher and a black coffee I had back at the vehicle. I can't wait to come back very soon to try out some of their other flavors. Thx very much to Steff D. for the upcoming NH Yelp Elite Event invite to Salt & Straw! We can only hope this Portland, Oregon based ice cream shop can also open their shop(s) in the other Portland in Maine.....

First of all, my apologies for taking so long to write this review. The new Salt & Straw at Tuscan Village in Salem (by Capital Grille) is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of seating outside. The shop itself is lovely, well lit, clean, and well thought out. They have a large menu on the wall, behind the ice cream freezers. Homemade ice cream that is not your average flavor. Flavors such as Huckleberry Cornbread pudding (yum!!), Pistachio and Ricotta Cannoli-(my favorite!!), Vegan Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge-which I had no idea was vegan until I read the ingredients it was so good. I went in during their grand opening weekend and the very sweet, patient employee gave me lots of samples-with ACTUAL spoons, not plastic, which I love! They care about the environment, people, have amazing ice cream, what else could you ask for? Love Salt & Straw, can't wait to go back!

Fantastic, unique flavors with the opportunity to try as many flavors as you want (using reusable spoons, no less!) We went right when they opened so the wait was lighting fast. Customer service could have been better as far as explaining how things go, welcoming us in, etc. but I'll chalk that up to the newness.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad? Marionberry Habanero? What kind of ice cream place is this anyway?! A pretty killer one! We had already heard about the lines so we got there right when they opened at 11am on Saturday. Small little stand alone place in Tuscan Village in Salem. Met a guy named Joe who was brought up by the company in LA to help with the opening. Dude knew EVERYTHING about all the crazy flavors and they all rocked. They encourage you to try as many flavors as you want so I tried three and settled on a scoop each of the Strawberry Pretzel and the Chocolate Banks w/Hazelnut Fudge....awesome! I will admit that at first I thought the prices were a bit high but after tasting a few flavors, I gotta say they are worth it. Every flavor tasted like it was handmade and it was obvious that they use quality ingredients every time. If I had to describe this place, I would say its definitely an adult ice cream shop....but the kids will dig it too!

A truly wonderful experience. Brand new Salt & Straw in the brand new Tuscan Village, a massive, sprawling, max density, mixed use development in Salem NH, geared to urban professionals. For a few minutes, I thought I was back in DC or Reston VA. And although the development may have been disconcerting to my more pastoral senses, the presence of Salt & Straw more than made up for it. The superb ice cream offerings include more than a few vegan specialties catering to both vegan and lactose free people. A great plus. We came over here twice. The first time, the lines were out the door and around the building so we decided to return after a scheduled event to which we had been invited. We returned after our home made pizza party and the lines were way more manageable. Despite the large amount of customers, expected of a brand new place, the service was flawless and attentive. I had the Strawberry and Coconut Water Sherbet and it was delicious. My spouse had the. Huckleberry pudding flavor and he raved about it. Overall a ten out of ten. Five well deserved stars.

I love this concept and I love how they allow you to try as many flavors as you want. I went there a few weeks ago and was thrilled to see that they had there limited edition Thanksgiving flavors. I was very curious to see how the turking and stuffing ice cream tasted. It was flavorful but not my cup of ice cream. I tried everyone in the line up for thanksgiving but was not sold on any of them. I stuck with what I love which is the Gooey Chocolate Brownie. The pieces in that ice cream are so rich. Overall the service was great, the store was clean and the line went fairly quickly. I love that they have seating outside which is a huge win because you can easily sit and people watch while eating your ice cream.

The smell in the vicinity of this place is waffle cone aroma. Delish. The flavors are out there and not your typical ice cream shop. The lines were very long but not sure if they is just new hype. I am not sure about this place as the flavors just didn't play to my liking on paper and a ton of flavors had nuts which I don't really care for in my ice cream.

Salt & Straw has some of the most unique ice cream flavors. There is a flavor for everyone and the Scoopers here were really kind in explaining any flavors I wanted to try.

Really tasty flavors getting slung out of this ice cream haven! The service was great, smiling, happy, no matter how many flavors we asked to try, offered suggestions and info on each one. We went with the strawberry balsamic honey and pepper and the blackberry birthday cake = WOW.

Menu, look at all these amazing flavors!

So excited to see one opened here in the east coast! There were so many exciting flavors to try. I ended up getting the lavender flavored one with a cone. The staff were so friendly and patient because i tried at least 5 flavors before choosing what flavor i wanted. On top of that, there are pup cups available for purchase as well. My fur baby loved it. This is a great spot for everyone!

    The building is cute
