Wow, this is a find! It's very small with no reservations so arrive early. Open Wed-Sat. Service is great and they really take pride in their food. The oysters are amazing! Fresh and tasty. We got a platter of a dozen oysters for $26 and were treated to 3 different kinds: one from Massachusetts and 2 kinds from Maine. I loved one of the Maine kinds and the other Maine oysters were a favorite as well. Affordable and some of the best oysters I've ever had. Tuna sashimi and spicy tuna salad are both well worth it - fresh and amazing flavor. We loved the watercress salad that came with most of our dishes - I'm not sure I even knew I liked watercress before this. The shrimp cocktail was good but small and again fresh. Fingerlings potatoes were great but small and could do with less stuff on it - cheese and bacon are plenty. Chicken tacos had super fresh cilantro and lime. Seafood roll - my other half liked it better than I did as I felt that the squid rings seem to overpower the dish for me - the brioche roll was lightly toasted and buttered to perfection. The presentation of all the dishes is appealing and professional. The menu is hard to describe - super fresh ingredients resulting in a slightly ever evolving menu, almost a dozen different "drinking snacks" including a number of dips - raw oysters, raw clams, raw tuna and a few tacos and sandwiches - bigger portions than a tapas plate but not a full sized dinner plate. Parking can be a bit confusing as it's on the other side of the Hen of the Woods (we used that parking lot - just make sure you pay because they will ticket) and the place is hard to find as it seems surrounded by the Tropic Brewing. Overall, we can't wait to go back for more - top picks are oysters and tuna dishes.

Went here on my birthday during vacation to have a few drinks that were absolutely lovely! We got a cheesy potato dish (forgive me, I cannot remember the name) that was incredible. The bartender was great and they brought out an amazing dessert after my boyfriend let it slip that it was my birthday. Will definitely come back if we're in the area again!!

I've been wanting to check this place out since it opened and was glad my neighbor friends wanted to go in tonight. Tucked away behind the main set of well known restaurants, It's a cozy place with just enough tables to keep the kitchen staff and bartender hopping. It's clear they work well together; it's a tiny cooking area and that was well orchestrated. The food we saw coming out looked amazing. I love raw oysters, and as we'd just had dinner before we came in, it'll definitely be a must have next visit. I heard him say that the dozen were 4 different varieties delivered fresh from Rhode Island, Maine and two other locations I didn't catch. The deviled eggs were generously stuffed as were the sandwiches I saw being served. My companions have been here twice before and loved the food. There's something for everyone in a range of prices. That's pretty awesome. The cocktails were delicious. I had the Respect your elders, which was made with gin, St Germaine, lavender. Very tasty, though I would've preferred a little more of the elderflower liqueur vs gin. My neighbor got the browned butter bourbon old fashioned which was to die for. The owners are hustling as hard as the other staff and even though busy, were offering genuine smiles and wished us a good night on our way out. It's a nice, newish unpretentious yet high quality neighborhood dining establishment in Waterbury. I look forward to my next visit.

It's worth it when you can get a seat and eat there. Let me give you the reasons why I knocked it down to 4 stars: 1. Getting a table for dinner here can be difficult especially during the weekend. Yes, even when it's below freezing point. They are that popular and not being able to make a reservation doesn't help. 2. The only dish I found out off many occasions and many items is the sausages. It's a bit more grainy in texture that as off putting for me. Because it's grainy, I can imagine that this was made by hand instead of mass produced.

The food was great - easily some of the best BBQ in the area. Despite it being a busy Saturday, we…read morewere seated quickly and our food arrived timely as well. We ordered the ribs and brisket plates and split both dishes, which turned out to be a great choice. Each plate was delicious and flavorful in its own way. The brisket was cooked perfectly- tender and flaky, while the ribs were even more flavorful thanks to the BBQ sauce and fell right off the bone. At $26 and $29 per dish, we were hoping for slightly larger portions of coleslaw or sides. The interior was a bit dark, though it fit the overall vibe very well. The bar area was lively, even without a TV, which was nice to see. Overall, the atmosphere was great, and I'll likely be back when i'm in the area.

The Caesar, although over dressed, had lovely flavor and I liked the whites anchovies they chop in the dressing. Ambiance was what we expected. And now for the cons: we ordered the special of the night... the waitress said she loved these potato filled pasta, so we ordered. Along with the clams and pasta the mushroom horn pasta. The special, was 22 maybe $23. There were literally eight pasta purses on the plate. They were undercooked and while I enjoy flavor, the pasta was too undercooked and nothing hot, the clam dinner that my husband got was warmIsh. Although he ate it, it was quite heavy on the butter in the end. His was just warmer than tepid. Now onto the trumpet mushroom pasta that I ordered. One bite, pasta was undercooked! And the overall dish was too cold for me so I asked for them to heat it. I had eight pieces maybe nine pieces of pasta on my plate. It was a $26 dinner and she comes back and she says they're going to make me a fresh one and it'll be right out. After some 20 minutes go by, nothing...They brought out my to go order before my dinner. So I told them to keep it. As for the to go order, I ordered the pork Milanese. The pork looks lovely, but it was a to go order and they threw a very heavily dressed radicchio salad right on top in a box that was too small for the order and they handed it to me wide open and said here's your takeout order. I asked another waitress to get me another container so I could put the salad in that so we could at least close the two boxes. Lastly, no gloves are used when touching cooked food.... We will not go back...

We visited last night and it happened to be during Karaoke time. The crowd was super chill, friendly, and very supportive of the singers. Everyone was having a great time and the vibe was pretty amazing, kind of felt like a speakeasy. There were people sitting at the bar, people clapping in the seats in front of the stage, and people knitting in the back. There were empty tables last night, but from what I read, it can get pretty crowded here. We ordered the Mudslides and they were really good, but a little too icy. Service was friendly and we felt very comfortable here. Loved the decor with the historic photos, the colored lights and the comfortable old style chairs. We'll be back on our next visit to Burlington!
