We always go through the drive thru and while the line can be a bit long at times, we've never really had to wait very long. It's not my number one choice in taco places, but they're good tacos at a good price. When I go on a Carnival cruise, I like to get fish tacos from The Blue Iguana... if I'm not on a ship, this is the closest thing I've found. They do lose a star though because I also have a toddler to feed and tell me why I can get two tacos for the prize of ONE kids quesadilla? So I end up going to two different places for food. There's not much else to say. I don't know if they offer indoor seating, but I know people seem to enjoy sitting in the outdoor patio area. Thankfully it's covered which really helps in the Texas heat. As for me, I just use the drive thru and carry on with my daily tasks.

The food came out surprisingly fast, and overall, the experience felt very relaxed and enjoyable. I ordered the braised beef tacos, also known as quesabirria. While they were decent, they were definitely not the best quesabirria tacos I've had. The consommé was very oily and lacked flavor, and the pickled onions were a bit off-putting. That being said, the tacos were generously filled with beef, which I appreciated. If I came back, though, I would probably try a different menu item. I also ordered a horchata and the regular size completely caught me off guard because it was huge. It tasted slightly more watered down than other horchatas I've had, but it was still refreshing and enjoyable. I would definitely order it again. Overall, while not every item completely wowed me, I still had a really pleasant experience here. The quick service, laid-back atmosphere, and generous portions made it worth the visit, and I'd be interested in coming back to try more of the menu in the future.

As I write this review, this restaurant currently has a rating of 4.6 stars with 120 reviews. Before coming, I also reviewed several pictures that other folks have posted on yelp, and I thought I'd give this place a try. After driving by the front of the restaurant and pulling into the parking lot, I started to have second thoughts about coming here. From the outside, it certainly did not appear to be a location worthy of an excellent rating on yelp. Still, I trusted the yelp community, and I decided to come inside. Boy, the yelp community was right on this one! This is one of those restaurants that is excellent, but you wouldn't know it unless you gave it a try. Immediately after entering, I decided to take a seat at one of their tables in a corner. Just after sitting down, a gentleman came over and delivered some fresh chips and two kinds of salsa. My waitress came over shortly thereafter and introduced herself. Her name was Marcella (sp?). She was friendly and professional throughout my experience here, and she was patient with me in explaining some of the items on their menu. After reviewing their menu and eating a bunch of their chips and salsa (which are ridiculously good), I decided what I wanted. I ordered the "Quesabirria w/Consome," with beef, which are 4 birria and cheese tacos, served with onion, cilantro, pickled onion, radish, and special spicy salsa. I ordered a Coca-Cola along with my dinner order. I definitely made the right choice for my meal. They were generous in filling my tacos with a bunch of shredded beef, and they were amazingly good. My soda was refreshing as well. In my opinion, this is a better place for authentic Mexican food rather than Americanized Mexican food. After my meal, my waitress said that she is giving me some of their dessert for free since this was my first time here. She was very kind, and an excellent waitress. Overall, I did have an excellent experience here, just as so many others have had. This was a reminder for me that sometimes I need to just trust the yelp community, and most often a high yelp rating is high for a valid reason. If you're in the area, you should give this place a try. I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.

My son and I were the first to arrive and we weren't sure how long we'd be waiting for the others who were running behind... so instead of keeping a toddler cooped up in a car seat, and then immediately moving to a high chair, I decided to sit outside with him and let him walk around. It was a nice day and he enjoyed the Adirondack chairs they have on the patio. They were low enough for him to easily climb into/out of and he had a great time outside while we waited. I noticed that they had a couple of large parties that were coming in right when they opened as well. So this is clearly a good spot to take a group. When the rest of our party arrived, we had already made it inside and were sitting in the front waiting area where they have plenty of space and several benches for people to sit during a wait. We were sat immediately and I opted for a booster seat instead of a high chair since we were sat at a half booth/half table and I was able to put my son in between me and my sister. The food and service were both good. I didn't get some amazing dish that you can't find anywhere else... I got nachos... but my sister got a shrimp salad that looked great. I'll definitely try something different when I go back, but I was kind of in a hurry this trip. I WILL say that I really appreciate the way they do the nachos. Each chip had its own topping instead of a pile of chips with everything on top of them. Our waitress was kind and attentive. I think her name was Jasmine. We had a great time and were in and out fairly quickly. The kids meal has a ticket on the back for a free ice cream. We did not get the ice cream because I wasn't about to give my child ice cream right before his nap... but it was a nice gesture. I offered it to my friend's daughter, but she didn't want it. We had a great time together and I didn't even know this location was here, but I'm glad I do know because I think I'd come back here even though it's a little further of a drive for me. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is extremely inviting and creates the vibe immediately from the moment you stop outside. The fajita beef is SO GOOD this is definitely a must get if you're eating in the restaurant since it is so hot and tender when it comes out on the sizzling platter. In fact, most of the dishes are good. The appetizer we got (I believe it was the Nachos Compuestos) was not my favorite, since I think the ratio of frijoles to everything else is a little overwhelming, but it was still good. The only thing I didn't like from the large amount of food we got was the fish taco. It was just kind of dry and fishy. Not very good or fresh tasting at all. I hope this was just a fluke and it usually tastes good, but it stands out as by far the weakest dish on otherwise great meal. I was actually a little skeptical of this place and thought it would just be like any other Tex-Mex. And in some ways it is. But man do I just love their fajita beef so much that I would go back for that alone!

The place was busy but not overly crowded. Chips and salsas were brought to the table immediately, and our server didn't rush us to order. Though I'm typically a bean and cheese nacho guy, the chicken and beef fajita nachos here were delicious and, believe it or not, they didn't seem heavy. They keep the Pozole Verde traditional here, with some cilantro on the side. Though I didn't try it, our friend said it was delicious. I had my eyes on the Cecina Plate, which is a classic dish from Mexico of very thinly sliced beef that has been air-dried (sort of like jerky) and then cooked, sliced and served to go on a tortilla, along with some grilled queso fresco and avocado. The flavor was good, but the meat itself was a little on the tough side. (Authentic Mexican cecina is supposed to be juicy and very tender -- almost soft.) Still I enjoyed it, as I did the refried beans, which weren't overloaded with lard like so many other versions out there. I only wish that the plate had come with the salsa macha as advertised. I asked our server about it, and he said "They're warming it in the kitchen, and it'll be right out." It never arrived. Speaking of salsa, if you are one of the three people who read my reviews, you know that I'm a salsa snob. Rule #1 -- no cumin. Rule #2 -- salsa is better when it is served cold. These folks abided by my first rule, but they serve the salsa warm here. It's a roasted salsa and was actually quite flavorful, but it would be so much better served cold. The green salsa here has wonderful jalapeno flavor and plenty of bite. This place definitely knows how to create salsa. Bottom Line: I plan on returning. I glanced at some traditional Tex-Mex platters as I was walking through the place, and they looked divine. I'm looking forward to trying them.
