I've eaten here many times, mostly a positive experience. Tonight, a different thing altogether. They have new chairs, very uncomfortable chairs. By the end of the meal, my butt hurt- as well as my back. The music was too loud, and millennial folk crap as well. Great food. I'm from Mexico and was a little bit leery about going to a restaurant that not only says it's serves Mexican food but advertised as a cantina as well. The owners didn't go short in the decorations. Very modern, Industrial type but the wood bar and exposed beams added a nice touch . When it came down to the food, it was fantastic, great flavor and lots of it, I ordered steak tostadas .. it was the real thing. Steak taco salad is very good as are there homemade salsas. The prickly pear margaritas are very good as well.

The service is always excellent! Food is even better. Great atmosphere inside and out with the option to bring your dogs! Love it!

Very nice place and a lovely outdoor patio. The service was great ! When we couldn't decide on which Salsa for our chips and salsa the waitress offered to bring us an assortment and it was great. I had the combo plate which was very good and large, I ended up taking half of it home. My daughter had the steak tacos and she really liked them. We took steak tacos home for my husband as well and his only complaint was that we only brought 3. The steak tacos are a bit smaller than regular tacos. Noticed this place a few months back and finally got a chance to check it out. From checking in on their FB page, they moved over here from Adrian where they were in business for 20 years! The salsa really is quite good (true to their namesake) - nice and fresh and the hot does have a little kick to it (though nothing like what you'd find in, say, Texas). We ended up getting the combo platter which was a nice sampler of their options: taco, flauta, tostada, and enchilada. All were good, but the flauta was particularly delicious - perfectly cooked, good flavor (and, of course, anything fried is awesome). The beers were pretty pricey at $6.50 a pop (I would think that they were maybe 12oz glasses). But the waitress was nice enough to provide us a free one since they changed out the keg and they had an extra glass lying around. So, that leads me to service: very friendly. I'd certainly come back to this place again... and am especially happy that they are open on a Monday (when you're hard-pressed to find things open). read more

My family, friends and I eat here kinda often, but ONLY because there's no other Mexican option close by (unless you consider Taco Bell). The food isn't bad, but I don't prefer it over El Chaps, Fiesta, Cancun (Adrian, MI) etc. We had a particularly awful experience with a curbside pickup order during this COVID stuff. We wanted 6 beef tacos, 4 chicken tacos, 3 burritos, rice and beans. When we arrived to pick up our food they informed us our bill was $67!!!! Over $30 more than we usually spend there for a family of 3. We were confused, we asked to review our order. Turns out the woman taking our order over the phone did NOT understand we wanted 3 single burritos, NOT 3 burrito meals. The burritos they charged us for were $10 a piece. We tried explaining we did not want burrito meals and they just told us that's what we ordered and $67 is what we needed to pay! The manager handled the situation poorly, was extremely unprofessional and honestly just quite rude. She told us there was nothing she could do and that she had a bunch of other cars behind us waiting. When we insisted we couldn't imagine paying $67 she reluctantly mentioned all she could do was give us a gift card to refund our money for the burrito meals. We said "OK" even though we knew she just didn't want to spend the time to perform a real refund, but she ultimately asked for our card and refunded the money, only after complaining how she would have to "call the company and it would probably take awhile." She delivered our food and said that she still gave us the burrito meals because they were already bagged. We still provided a $6 gratuity. When we finally made it home, we only had 2 burrito meals, were shorted a beef taco (one of the shells was completely empty) and only received one type of salsa (garden), when we asked for both types (garden and roasted). Overall, we liked supporting a small business close to home, regardless of their less than stellar food. However, after this experience I think my family will agree that we'd rather drive the extra miles to the next town to get REAL Mexican food! I'm not one to complain but on my recent visit to this restaurant was bad .We ordered right when we sat down then waited 45 min,not only did we not get food I didn't even get a refill on my water.We only have 30 min. for lunch so had to leave. So my one star is not for the food but for not being able to taste it. read more

If you're looking for the only Mexican restaurant, in Lenawee county, that charges for chips and salsa look no further than Salsa Rias. If you like just ok Tex-Mex fair then this is the place. If you like to sit in chairs that make you feel like you'll fall out and break your back due to the chair back being too far back then stop by this place. Salsa Rias menu pales in comparison to every other Mexican restaurant in Lenawee county. The food doesn't scream "come back" at all. The service is good though I guess. We stopped by during peak dinner rush hours to a half-full dining room. That should tell you all you need to know about this place. Mario's, Fiesta ranchera, Grasshopper will all be on a wait during the same hours. But hey, at least Tecumseh has another Luke-warm restaurant now. read more

Wonderful atmosphere, not to crowded during the week. The portion sizes are very generous, I was eating left over fajita stuffing for a whole day after. Wish they gave you more tortillas with the fajitas but it was still excellent, 2 margaritas and 2 meals took me for about 40$ that's a relatively cheap date this day and age for the exceptional quality of the food they are serving. Positives: Very good and attentive service, meats used in dishes are always fresh and tasty, chips and salsa are fresh. Negatives: Salsaria's unfortunately takes the cheap route and uses bagged lettuce rather than chopping their own. Bagged lettuce has a preservative aftertaste that ruins the rest of the dish. Also, the nachos, in addition to the lettuce issue, are just thrown on a plate. They should be served with the ingredients evenly distributed. Finally, the guitar player on Saturday night was not my favorite. He was able to play some songs adequately, but uses the same three or four chords for every song, and thus was not able to play Cat Stevens or Bill Withers very well. Overall, 2.5 stars, based on the great service and freshly prepared meat. read more

Yay! Finally somewhere new to go in Tecumseh. I'm looking forward to the side patio opening. Family friendly, and a big menu. They customized my friend's order, since I am a bad friend and I suggested mexican although she is allergic to cilantro. Once we tried the queso, I didn't feel so bad. I had chicken quesadillas, and it was a huge order for the price. Although not a spanish restaurant, no Sangria that wasn't white peach (eeeewwww). My friend's were pleased with their orders as well. I had lunch with my wife on Valentines day. The iced tea was very weak and did not have much taste. The "queso" arrived and was like water. When I asked if the Queso was supposed to be like that, the waitress said "you mean liquid? Yes." I took this answer as dismissive, as she did not follow up. The Burrito was below average, the rice was dry and the tortilla wrap was somewhat chewy. The hot salsa was average even though the waitress told me, when I asked about it, it was "hit or miss" on how good it was. I am not impressed with this restaurant and do not plan on going back. This is the best Mexican food I have ever had! The grilled steak is tender and so full of flavor. The hot salsa has a kick and you can still taste all of the grilled flavor. Very disappointed. This was our first visit but we have had excellent Mexican Cuisine in the surrounding areas and this is by far our least favorite. My husband had to ask 3x for a glass of water and we were never offered any chips and salsa. I ordered the Shimp Faijtas which was a very small portion (but pricey) and very bland. My husband ordered the giant burrito which was not giant and also bland. The tortilla soup tasted like packaged soup and the service was nothing more than standard if not less. The waitress didn't know what the items were and even what was in them. You would think that she would have some knowledge of what the specials were! When I asked her what the Modunda (not exact word) soup was she said "It's a Mexican soup". When asked what was in it she said, and these are her exact words "Mexican ingredients". Excellent, menu is large and varied. Wait staff is friendly and attentive (but not in your face) Food arrived hot and correct and change/requests I made were there and correct did not have to ask a 2nd time. It is a good sized restaurant and I like that the tables are NOT jammed in you do not have the next table's guests in your lap. They are going to be opening a patio section for the summer and that should be nice. Oh and yes the prices are reasonable !! read more
