Very efficient and friendly service! From the exterior appearance, it is a true "hole-in-the-wall; however, the interior is relatively expansive. On the way to Ann Arbor, my wife and I only had time for a couple of tacos. She always has to have guacamole with her chips and orders a side. When delivered to the table, it appeared to be almost a pint of the food. And it was excellent. It's a terrific value for the price. I must admit that I could have been more impressed with the hard-shell ground beef taco (the meat was badly overcooked) or the lamb barbacoa (a bit tough). However, I HIGHLY recommend the taco de Pescado. I have had plenty of fish tacos in CA, but this ranks right up there with the best. It was moist and flaky. That will be on my "go-to" order when I go back. And I am going to have to try the rellenos many have mentioned. That dis is another favorite of mine. I will return! read more

Coming from Southern California where we have our pick of delicious street tacos, I'm generally a bit picky about my tacos. The value and flavor HAS to be there. We started with the complimentary chips & salsa (solid salsa btw!). The $8.50 taco lunch combo was fantastic. Lunch combos are served between 11am - 3pm daily. It came with 2 tacos + rice and beans. The tacos were NOT street taco-size. And just to level set - NONNADAT flour tortilla with shredded saw dust, it's corn tortillas with onion & cilantro here only y'all! I had the following tacos: *Pollo -- TBH a little dry, but the flavor was good. Probably would not get chicken again. *Carnitas - I was expecting pieces of carnitas but they cut theirs into cubes. I didn't mind because it was flavorful and tender. I also like how they include some fatty pieces for that flaavvor. Yum. Would get again. Their other meat options are Asada, Al Pastor, Carnitas, Campechano, Chorizo, Pollo, Carne Molida. I'll definitely have to try the campechano some time! Also, the salsa they serve with the tacos is NO joke - one was orange & one was green. I couldn't tell which was mild and which was hot because they were both pretty spicy, ha. But they were both great complements on the tacos. It sounds like there used to be a market once, but it's no more! A patron walked in to ask and then walked straight out when the gal said there was no longer a market! It looks like they've converted it to more seating, but it's currently blocked off. We walked into the place and were pleasantly surprised to see that it looks as neat as a pin and was very clean. The chips and salsa came right away. The chips are excellent, if a little bit salty, and the salsa is good, but could be spicier for my taste. I asked for recommendations since we had never been here and ordered accordingly. When my chicken enchiladas came out they were absolutely perfect. You can tell everything is made from scratch and it's totally delicious. This is a very humble and delicious home made find! The owners take pride in welcoming you, in fact, the chef and owner escorted personally my mom with her walker from the car to the front door. Such hospitality... And then the service was impeccable from that point forward. Each food was prepared, fresh, and the fresh drinks from Mexico made it a special treat for mom and me. I would give 5 stars if the beef asada wasn't so gristly in the otherwise perfect tacos. These are traditional tacos, with a doubled soft corn tortilla shell, finely chopped onions and cilantro- and that's it. The pico de gallo was a nice addition, as was the green avocado-based sauce. The guacamole was smooth and had tomatoes and onions in it. Really nice! Coked salsa was mild and perfect with the rice. The rice was fluffy and tasty. The red sauce has a musty flavor to it, probably from chipotles, which I am not always a fan of. You might like it. Try it! The chips are made in-house from corn tortillas and you don't get so many of them that you get full from them, which is nice. We had a decent picnic at the park with our dog, who was very happy getting bits of meat from the tacos! There is a small Mexican grocery inside that carries a full range of dried spices. Finally got to try this place after intending to for months. It was delicious! I ordered carry out but would like to dine-in next time. The al pastor taco was amazing. Will definitely be ordering that again. The chorizo was slightly spicy but still good. My dad loved the steak fajitas and my mom enjoyed her burrito as well (big enough for two meals!) Hands down best Mexican I've had. Lots of choices, I couldn't make up my mind. I finally settled on a couple of tacos, one with steak & chorizo and one with pastor(marinated pork), both were amazing. The chips are great the salsa is real good too. We also tried the queso of fondido and it was great too. Paraiso is one of our favorites not only in Saline but also in the Ann Arbor area. This is not your usual "Tex-Mex" place - their offerings are fresher and their selection of dishes more interesting than we've found elsewhere in the area. For instance, they offer the embellished corn on the cob street food item known as elote and very hearty Mexican style sandwiches called tortas, which we just tried for the first time. I'm not a meat eater, and I find lots of choices - you can get fish in many of the items as well as pork, chicken, etc. The quality and freshness of the vegetables in the dishes is outstanding. Armando and Sara are always so incredible friendly and accommodating. They are the poster couple of why we need to support local businesses. So hard working and appreciative. The restaurant vibe is nice and the staff is friendly but other than that, it was a HUGE let down. We started with chips and salsa plus a small bowl of warm queso, which was all tasty. I ordered the chicken fajitas with a single chicken taco. My husband ordered the cheese enchiladas with the pork on top along with a single carnita taco. My kids ordered from the kids menu: one had a kids burrito with rice and beans. Our other child ordered the chicken nuggets with fries. the nuggets were burned/blackened and nothing he would ever touch. He took one bite of nugget and said it tasted like mushrooms then just filled up on chips. The kid's burrito said it was a rice and bean burrito but when we got it, it was filled with chicken which my son wouldn't eat. We told the waitress (who I also confirmed with upon ordering) that the burrito said rice and beans only inside and this one was filled with chicken asking for them to remake it. The remade burrito came out filled with ground beef and onions which he wouldn't eat either so he also filled up on chips instead of eating his meal. The two main entree dishes were just ok but definitely not worth the price and it wasn't even good enough that we would consider going back for another meal to try it again. Overall, it was a huge let down. We are Mexican food lovers and we were hopeful that this local restaurant was going to be a big hit but sadly it was very much a regret going there this evening for our family dinner. we've heard a few bad revJews from family/friends who have gone already but we wanted to make the decision for ourselves. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in southeast Michigan and this is the best one that I have ever been to. The food is always fresh, the vegetables are not cooked to a mushy mess in the vegetarian burrito and the blending of seasonings has been excellent in every dish that we have tried. And Lastly, the owner and staff have been very welcoming. In my opinion this place is a gem and I hope it can survive the tough times that restaurants are going through. Give them a try! read more

First visit. We hesitated going in because it just did not look very busy for a Saturday night. We are used to So Cal authentic Mexican food reasonably priced. There are no places near Ann Arbor we really enjoy. We found a gem. What a great experience. We dined in. Tacos were only $2.75 when a la carte and they had every authentic type, carne asada, carnitas. etc. the meat was moist, flavorful, plentiful and the double 6" corn tortilla shells were moist and not falling apart. The complementary chips were made in house by "dad." The salsa was amazing and also made by dad. We had three baskets! My daughter had the potato poblanos. We asked if we could buy their chips and salsa. A 1/2 grocery size bag was $3.50 as was 8 oz of salsa. They have a small grocery store and the prices were So cal cheap. It was my daughters birthday and they took 50% off her meal and gave her a free tres leche cake, made by dad this morning. Must go back. Next weekend is my husbands birthday! We live almost in Brighton but we will make the trip often! read more
