Carne tacos
Ariel C.

Menu and packaging changed, not in a good way. The chips are now stale with barely half the portion of their previous chips, the tacos are sloppily packaged in soggy paper, the queso isn't as fresh or as flavorful. Luckily it doesn't seem like they changed their infamous salsa verde sauce but all the other changes are a shame. I'm all for restaurants making improvements and jazzing up their menu but in this case, don't fix what's not broken.

Enchiladas Verdes

After reading some negative reviews I felt a bit worried about my experience but I had no issues at all. We walked in and ordered at the counter and then they brought out food to our table shortly afterwards. Service is very quick and friendly. I had the enchiladas verdes which came with a side of shredded lettuce and Mexican rice. Everything tastes very good and the portion size was hefty. The tables felt clean too. On Tuesdays they have a cheap taco deal too!

Chicken Tinga burrito.

The guacamole is liquidy, like green broth, and not as thick as a smoothie. More like a drink. Dipped the very brown chip in it, couldn't scoop cuz ya can't scoop a drink, and it dripped off. Threw away. The chicken burrito is nothing like authentic mex food in Arizona and New Mexico, so it's probably just the water here which is made for hot dogs and pizza. What it lacks in flavor it makes up for in size. Huge like Chipotle but without beans or cheese or onion or cilantro. It probably caters to suburbanites who want food like McDonald's for their kids. Cool if they found their population to feed and make $. Mi Casa has flavor. There is a divey place off 64 or north ave that has fantastic food! All the chicken was lumped on one end. 95% rice. Yeah, didn't think we'd notice? Catered event had consensus review. Never going back.

Salsa Verde you have lost my business. I have been going there for a long time and brought you much needed business during the COVID shut down. I go through the drive through tonight to get some frozen Margaritas to bring to a friends house for them to try. (New business for you I may add) and I'm told they only do regular to go margaritas no frozen. I asked her since when? She tells me a few days ago? I call bull crap! I don't know if this a real policy you came up with or if she didn't want to make them. Whichever you have lost my business. Glad to see you are doing so well you can lose a trusty customer when things are still not up to par. Plenty of other Mexican take out places around here. I'm more then happy to give my business to one of them.

Don't get the ground beef on taco Tuesday. It literally tasted like barnyard Pooh. And smelled like it too. Had to have been expired.

Their pizza was 5 stars, would recommend!! The grilled cheese was a little burnt though, so that makes it 4.2 stars

Been going to El Puente for many many years and have never been disappointed. We usually go to El Puente for lunch and enjoy a special off the "lunch menu" but the regular menu is quite extensive with many delicious choices. They keep the complimentary chips and salsa coming, chips are nice and thin, not greasy and the 2 salsas are quite tasty. Food is always fresh and filling, can't beat the service as they always have a smile and make sure you're happy with everything. El Puente is a old fashioned Mexican restaurant with good food, friendly service and fare prices!

Don't waste your time on asking for salsa verde because it tastes like nothing. The queso fundido is good but gets dry and hard fast. It's not very cheesy and melty like others I've had. Don't waste your time on the guac either, it's just mashed avocado. It needs some seasoning or spice or lime at minimum. And the chicken fajita's are absolutely awful. It was so disappointing. They have a very sweet and almost bbq-like taste. Also, you really don't get much chicken even. It's mostly just onions and peppers. I had to spit them out. The rice is good though. I'd some back for drinks and chips & salsa but that would really be it. The server was good and attentive and the restaurant was decorated for Valentine's Day. It was cute. We went around 2:30pm and it was not busy.

TLDR: simple but got the job done…read more I wanted to go out to eat with my grandma but it can be difficult to find a place that isn't too busy or noisy on the weekends. We came Saturday at lunchtime and the place was pretty empty which was perfect. The menu is pretty simple: tacos, fajitas, and burritos. I had the steak tacos which came with three tacos and a side. The tacos were filling and tasted great. Same goes for the esquites. Service was good and prices are pretty fair too. Overall nothing big makes this place stand apart but fit the bill for a quiet, casual lunch.

Great views of Third Street in Geneva. Enter the main building door on Third and go straight to the staircase (on your left). Our waitress (and all the staff) were incredibly friendly. We ordered margaritas to start which were well made and generous with the pour. Additionally, we started with an order of Chips & Salsa. The salsa is a bit different in consistency but excellent flavor. When our food arrived, we were excited by the presentation - we all know, however, that what counts is the taste. Make no mistake, this delivered. The meat was of high quality and superb flavor. We were pleasantly surprised to have found such a great restaurant and meal on a whim. Highly recommend making the stop here for an excellent meal, friendly service and unique ambiance!

The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying, and it made for a really special birthday dinner. We also enjoyed a birthday cake dessert, which was delicious and the perfect way to finish the meal! The waiter was very nice and helpful. We were seated outside around 7:30 PM, and the live music created a nice atmosphere. After being seated, our server brought chips and dip and took our drink orders. My children's drinks and my husband's drink arrived fairly quickly, but I waited quite a while for my drink. The server returned to take the adults' meal orders before my drink arrived, but did not ask for the children's orders and left the table. About an hour into our visit, we still had not received our food. When the children's meals finally arrived, one of the meals was not the cheeseburger that had been ordered. The server stated that a different kids' burger had been ordered and then took the food away. Shortly afterward, the adults' meals arrived. My parents, who joined us later, received their food soon after. While we appreciated being seated earlier than expected and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere, the service was slow, there appeared to be confusion regarding the children's order, and the overall dining experience took much longer than anticipated. We were done by 910pm
