Very underwhelming. I'm not sure how the meat is being marinated but it was a taste I couldn't put my finger on. I would not return.

Bought two "steak" burritos today. Should be sold as fat, grizzle and lettuce in a wrap. Spat out most of the "meat". It would be better if they used ground beef. The second burrito will go in the trash. read more

This place has great Mexican food! It also has about 10 or 12 different salsa you can have at their salsa bar. I always get a steak burrito. That's how I compare different Mexican joints and their burrito was at least an 9 out of 10. It seems like I always get a grizzly piece of meat and even the best ones. they served it cut in half on a diagonal slice, which was nice for a change so I didn't have to hold the whole burrito up and get that juice pocket at the bottom when I take my last bite. The great thing about this place was the guy running the register. I thought he was the owner of the place. He was in a great mood talking back-and-forth, asking how the food was but he was an employee only. Their guacamole was very fresh and very satisfying. I would definitely go back. read more

First time here and loved it. Authentic Mexican food and Mexican beers. Large salsa bar. Very attentive and friendly staff. Will come back for sure. Fresh baked bread for the tortas yum. Very clean as well. read more

I wanted to check out a new mexican joint for lunch today and I found Taco Grill Salsa Bar on my trusty Yelp App. I made the drive to TGSB during the Friday lunchtime rush. I walk into the restaurant and there are a few tables already there enjoying their lunch. I made my way up to the front to place my order and I decided I wanted 3 tacos with a horchata drink. My total came out to around $14, jeesh! Inflation and prices are crazy expensive these days. I went with two steak tacos and a al pastor taco. After I paid for my order they gave me my drink and some chips. Something unexpectedly happened here...I made my way down the wall and there's a SALSA BAR! It all made sense now. They have a salsa bar of like 7 to 8 different salsa for you to try. Something that was missing was that I wished each salsa was clearly labeled so that I knew exactly what was in each salsa. Was one hotter than the other? Was one sweeter? Was one a mango base salsa? I didn't know and I didn't want to be "that guy" that took 8 different salsas. So I made my choice and ended up with 3 different kinds and I still don't know what I got. I took my chip and started to dunk into each salsa and before I knew it my tacos already arrived. The salsa was good and had some good heat to them. I got the tacos with cilantro and onions because I don't like my tacos the white way with lettuce, cheese, and sour cream, eww. The steak taco was OK, it was a little bit under seasoned for my liking. The al pastor taco was actually pretty good as it had hints of pineapples in it. The horchata was delicious. Overall TGSB was just OK and I settled in with a 3-star review because prices were a tad bit high and the tacos didn't really blow me away. If you're someone who loves salsas then this place is for you. Tons of different salsa flavors to try. read more

Went here for taco Tuesday, $1.5 on Tuesday is a pretty good deal. Unfortunately the tacos were on the bland side. I ordered chicken, carnitas, and Al pastor. I thought that the chicken was the best of the three choices. They offer a salsa bar, which was nice! It's good for the price but I don't think it's worth going out of the way for. read more

Ordered 3 taco carnitas at the drive thru. Waited til I got home to eat them. They were the worst tacos I've ever had. If I had eaten them in the parking lot, I would've taken them back. The meat if you can call it that was mostly pork rind and fat. The pork rind was crunchy and hard like cartilage. This was not my first time at this restaurant but it will definitely be my last. read more

Amazing food! Their burrito was massive and tasted awesome. Plus it was very reasonably priced unlike the $20 burritos at chipotle. There tacos are amazing to. I got the cecina taco which is like a marinated steak and it was probably one of the best tacos I have ever had in my life. I will definitely be back! Plus the salsa bar rocks because you can find your favorite salsa then drench your taco or burrito in it. My wife loves their half priced margaritas on Saturday too. Service was great! They do not wait on you which I am a fan of because eating out is so expensive now that tipping costs like $10 or more. The restaurant was very clean with a nice patio area. read more

Save your money and go elsewhere. Extremely poor steak full of clumps and fat. Incorrect order aswell (not that it mattered because it was disgusting anyways) read more

One of the best Mexican places you'll find. I liked both of their other locations but both were about an hour from my home. When I saw the sign, driving by this new location, I almost swerved off of the road. Try the Torta Hawaiiana and the burritos and you'll understand. read more

Instant favorite. Two bites into my burrito and I was ready to ask myself, why have I wasted my time and money at Chipotle and so many other fast-food Mexican spots? Taco Grill Salsa Bar is as good as it gets. As mentioned, I had a burrito here which filled me to the brim. They give you free chips and salsa with your meal which were also excellent. All of their ingredients are amazingly fresh. This is a fast-food restaurant, yet they came out to our table 3-4 times to refill our chips or ask if we needed anything else. When we were leaving my son asked if we could return the next day. I think that'll be a resounding YES! Cheers!! read more

Nasty Nasty I would never go back to this place again. This place is a disgrace to all tacos family. This is so horrible. Service is the worst. And it's very very dirty! Do not go there ! Stay away from this disgusting place! Here it is their Tripa/tripe taco! Ewwwww read more

Not too dry and flavorful. We had 1 each as an appetizer. Quick service. Enchiladas all delicious, including the mole w a pleasant sweetness that I did not expect. We also had steak and chicken tacos. Also fun serve yourself salsa bar. Top notch. We will be back! read more

Visited with the family, and the consensus was 4.5. Between the 5 of us- we ordered: Vegetarian burritos, Steak burrito, Chicken burrito, Steak tacos and this Carne asada platter. First off this thing (pictured) was delish. Piping hot, a lil heat with the peppers, and of course came with your choice of corn/ flour tortillas. Let's talk about these burritos. The small size is not small people. They're a regular size burrito. If you want leftovers- like EXTRA LEFTOVERS get the bigger one! The veggie burritos were just that, veggies and they loved them. Streak, Chicken, No one had complaints on the flavors. Tacos were served with cilantro and onion. (as tacos should, IMO) I think the only real "complaint" would be that the rice and beans size that came with the meal was really small! Like- really small. Chips and salsa come out before meal on the house! Unfortunately we didn't get to try the salsa bar due to you know- 2020, but a nice gentleman did bring us out some in to go containers to try as we were wrapping up and taking our leftovers to go! Service was friendly! Clean, and nice comfy patio! read more

Excellent food, great flavor and well served. Especially recommend the alambres. Service is also excellent.

Just had my first of many lunches here. Very friendly service and delicious, fresh food. I ordered a steak taco, chicken taco, and rice. The tacos were generously filled and the chicken taco was one of the best I've had. Lots of choices at the salsa bar and everything I tried from it was delicious. Happy I stopped in today! read more

This was an awful experience. The food was astonishingly expensive which started things off poorly for me and my family. The total bill was $50 for a quesadilla, enchiladas, chips salsa and guacamole and one Mexican tostada and no drinks. I couldn't believe how much it cost. The guacamole was $11 and I ended up throwing it all away. It was literally salsa with avocados mashed into it but missing salt and lime juice. I am pretty sure it was loaded with sour cream or something too. It literally didn't even taste like guacamole. I will obviously not be coming back here. Buyer beware because this literally and figuratively put a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I was really expecting this to be good food cuz everybody said it was so great but I got a very bland burrito mostly lettuce hardly any meat on it The meat was bland and rice was bland probably from a box nothing is authentic at all about this unfortunately read more

This place exceeded my expectations. Steak burrito was incredible and the salsa bar was excellent from mild to hot they had it all.

Was excited to find out this place opened near me. I have eaten from their food truck a few times but glad to see them with a restaurant so close to home. They have some great steak tacos and salsas! Everything is very well seasoned, not salty, but freshly made! This is my second time at this location since they recently opened. Ordered tacos al carbon with steak - delicious as usual! (I was so excited I forgot to take a picture before I ate them). I also ordered nachos with steak - there is more than enough to share or make a meal out of. I love that they put fresh homemade guacamole and pico de gallo on them. And they also have huaraches but unfortunately their drive thru is limited due to the current situation. I can't wait until they can open so I can try one! On Tuesday's and Thursday right now they have $1 tacos - chicken, carnitas (very good), or al pastor. If you're in the area - stop by! read more

Awesome find. Total surprise finding this place. Service is great. This is my new go to for Mexican in the fox valley area!!!

We ordered the original three taco plate. They were very generous with the meat. They were a little skimpy on the rice and beans. The price at the restaurant was more than the menu price on their website. That was disappointing. But we would definitely go back for the tacos. read more

Very clean and good food. Had the tostadas and tacos. Both were really good and they have a diverse salsa bar.

Great food! Clean and great service. Special tacos on Tuesday and Thursday. Right now carry out only. Food was hot and plentiful. Everything on the menu was great, and they have a large menu. Make sure you wear a mask! We need to keep these restaurants in business during this time. read more

Cashier (lady) had bad attitude, first with my mother she asked my mom why? When my mom requested a plate, we ate inside then when I asked for a to go box she told me no! Me thinking I heard her incorrectly, due to how rude she insisted I would not be given one, I asked her the reason, she claims my mother who ordered before me told her our orders were to go and the woman said to go platters are for when you dine inside only, which like i mentioned, we did. We ate inside for about 30 minutes. so regardless if my mother made the mistake of saying to go, we ate inside & was not treated politely. Our business didnt feel appreciated, this was about my 10th time here, because of her, I dont think I'll be back. The woman's tone & demeanor was not friendly, or likeable. Side Note: I went here weeks ago & a black strand of hair was in both me & my boyfriends to go box (check yours) read more

My wife and I started going to the original location in Westmont back in 2006. We were very happy when they opened one in Aurora, we did take out from there for several years before they closed. When we went to the Batavia location recently we were elated to see the owner behind the counter, 16 years later and the owner still stays involved. No wonder this food is so good, he truly cares. Enmoladas and enchiladas Rojas are awesome. Love the guac with the onion and lime, the mild salsa is a favorite of ours. Thank you! read more

Loved this place! Their featured Alambre plate was fabulous. Check out what it is, I've had it 3 times in the last month. AWESOME. Tacos with flavor and lots of meat on them, great salsa, and free chips!. We just are waiting for them to start serving margaritas. :). This place is a regular for us. Just a warning, if you want nachos, share an order. They are too generous and you will need help. read more

We tried this place for the first time yesterday. We ate outside but had to go in to order. The inside is adorable and I loved the real succulents and plants on the tables. Outside dining was cute too. The best part? The food. It was AMAZING. I asked the woman at the counter what she recommended and she right away said the Tortas. I went for the steak torta and was not disappointed. It was big and intended to only eat half but couldn't stop. My friend got a tostada and two tacos. Her favorite was the el pastor Tex mex style. And my daughter got a quesadilla. In such a tough time for restaurants I hope this place can make it. Try it..you'll like it read more

Incredible food and fast and friendly service. Not sure if their corn tortillas are homemade but i'm going to assume they are because they're amaziiiiinng.
