This restaurant has been and continues to be one of our favorite places in Plano to go out to eat with our family! The food is absolutely wonderful (do not miss out on the queso blanco!), the margaritas are the best around, and one of the owners, Rogelio, and his staff are incredibly friendly and genuine. We have a phenomenal experience every time we go - and have been customers since they opened! read more

We love Salsa's! Whenever we want to get Mexican food we always think of here. It is always busy, because it's great. But the service is fast, the food is consistently great and they can always find something gluten free and dairy free for my difficult people. read more

We came across this place after doing some reviews near our church in Central Plano. Although they did not have a patio, which we are normally drawn too, we still really enjoyed our time! We were sat immediately, and the waiter approached our table asking for drink orders. We went for the margarita w/ top shelf tequila and really loved it! Shared chicken & beef fajitas which were plenty for two of us. LOVE the bean dip and salsa!!! Can't wait to go back another time. read more

Great place!! The food was fresh and tasty and the staff was attentive and super friendly. I told our waiter how pleasantly surprised we were with the place (this was our first time eating here) and he seemed genuinely happy to hear it. We will definitely be back! read more

I'm actually a huge fan of this hole in the wall strip mall restaurant. The service is always fast and friendly and is well worth trying! The salsa is pretty good (considering I am a salsa snob and make homemade salsa) and the black bean dip provided with the salsa is amazing! The lunch menu is extremely affordable and valuable and I hope they never change it! The food is traditional but I've never had a bad meal here so as far as Mexican restaurants go, this is one we find ourselves craving every now and then. I'm sure at some point they will recognize me as a regular. read more

Neighborhood tex-me joint. Cozy setting, quick service, and decent food. They have good happy hour specials and chips come with bland salsa and beans. Not much to complain about with the fair prices. The food is what you'd expect. This is a safe choice for dinner. read more

This is our go to neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Love the black bean dip and salsa that comes with chips and usually get the shrimp tacos for dinner. Great margaritas and beer on tap. Kids usually order the enchiladas and wife gets the fajitas. Everyone enjoys their meals and we return often. Great and friendly service too! Highly recommend. read more

I was referred referred her by someone who says she walked in mistakenly, IM SO HAPPY SHE DID!! The FOOD WAS AMAZING, portions were large, our waiter was courteous, and very informative!! I like it overall read more

Favorite fall back Mexican in Frisco. Always crowded and tables are too close together but service is decent and food above average. Good drinks and not too expensive. Kid friendly. As with any Frisco restaurant go early or you'll be waiting. read more

Our favorite locally owned and locally run Tex Mex place. The black bean salsa is excellent and their red salsa has just the right amount of heat to it. We've tried just about everything on the menu and were never disappointed. This time we had fajitas for two - beef and pork. It was delicous and at $24 a good value. Service is always pretty good, even when it's busy. And they are usually busy -- because it's so good. read more

For a Tex-Mex restaurant, this diner offers good food and for lunch. When you are seated, they bring not only salsa and chips but a delicious black bean dip. The food will come quickly if you need to get on with your day. The staff is extremely nice and will not let your drink go empty. read more

Family favorite. I'm pretty sure this is a local spot, but I could be wrong. They give complimentary chips, salsa and black bean dip. Y'all, this black bean dip is AMAZING! So addicting. I have had the fajitas, quesadillas and tacos and all were delicious. Also, they have happy hour ALL DAY Sunday-Thursday and Friday evening (not sure on the hours). It's a great spot, check it out. read more

Great happy hour! I only had one margarita and it was potent and only $3!!! I love their bean dip. Their salsa is not bad. The food is just your typical mexican food. The only thing I'd come for is the margaritas! read more

Excellent! Tried the brisket tacos. .yummy. Great service. Salsa and bean dip....really good. A must if you are near Legacy and Independence in Plano. read more

The Service and Food are always exceptional! I tried the brunch today - Huevos Con Chorizo had the perfect blend of spice!

This was darn good Tex-Mex though I did not notice much that really differentiated this from what I would consider a Mexican restaurant in Seattle. Seems as if Tex-Mex is really what we see as the normal in most parts of the country. There can always be some subtle differences; Mission-style burrito, and/or Taquerias that may focus on less-saucy/cheesy things. If you've had a plate that consists of rice, beans, 'entree' with cheese and/or sauce slathered on it you've had Tex-Mex. On to the foods! * Prompt and friendly service even though I was confused about bar seating. The bar is ONLY the bar and not the seating area around it. * You will be greeted with chips, salsa, & beans! (black bean dip this visit, nice and warm). Chips were crisp and tasted good (clean oil, enough salt, etc.), salsa was good. Did I mention they put out some bean dip? Amazing. * For my entree I went with Bistec a la Mexicana "Grilled flank steak strips sautéed with onions and tomatoes in a spicy molcajete and ranchero sauce". So I'm thinking the "spicy molcajete and ranchero sauce" means salsa + ranchero. It was good, it was spicy (not too, but spicier than I am used to receiving which for my tastes was fantastic), there was a LOT of food on my plate. The steak was tender though cut into fairly large chunks so I had to break it down a little more. * Rice was spot on. Tender and well seasoned, not overcooked (no one likes mushy rice, right?). * Beans tasted great. Well seasoned, not too loose, not too firm. * The included side guac was good, but a bit small. If I had room to finish everything on my plate I would have considered ordering an additional side of the guac. I think this place could be a considered a "can't go wrong" if you're in the area. If I lived within 10 minutes from here it would most likely become a regular place for me to get my fix when I'm not in the mood to make my own verde or ranchero sauce. Did I mention they provide free bean dip? Amazing. Could have been a 5 star .... Though what could use a little love are the bathrooms. The men's room looks "well used" and a deep cleaning and a coat of paint would do wonders. It's not "scary gas station" but it also wasn't that well maintained on my visit. Maybe a bad night/week. read more

Tried this place based on Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. It's usually busy, you can tell it's a local gem. Excellent food! Simple Tex Mex Classics done right. I'm addicted to their black bean dip! We've had the fajitas, enchilada, rellenos and have loved them all! The ground beef has so much flavor! Excellent and quick service. Seriously love this place! read more

So good! great fajitas and you get salsa and bean dip to begin with :) Also their happy hour is good and their margaritas are on point!

Don't let the hole in the wall feel fool you. Decor is a bit simple, but there is a full bar and a full service restaurant. The chicken fajitas I had compared well with Chuy's a week ago, with a delicious marinade and not overdone for a restaurant (chicken is overdone in almost every restaurant, which isn't surprising given the food poisoning risk). My wife enjoyed her brisket tacos as well, and we let the little ones eat off our plate which worked out well. Very friendly service, although we went early in the evening which always helps. read more

Love the jalapeño and meltdown margarita!! The restaurant interior seems outdated and could use major renovations. The food menu is complete replica of Gloria's Latin Cuisine. read more

I love this place. Great food. Chips are served with warm beans and salsa. The Fish Tacos, Enchiladas Verde, and Shrimp plates are wonderful. My wife loves the Beef Chili Rellello. The service is warm and friendly. I've read some of the previous, lukewarm reviews and I feel like I've eaten at a different place. Not sure why this place gets mixed reviews - personally this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. read more

Delicious food. Love the cheese taco! The meltdowns are strong and good!

This place is amazing!! It's always busy and the food is great. I highly suggest the beef fajitas and the chips are great. But one downfall is that it is very busy so you always need a reservation on the weekend. read more

Anyplace that has a wait on a week night has to be good, and it is! Service is fanatastic, but the food is so much better! I love the black bean dip with the chips and salsa. Chimichangas, fajitas, enchiladas are all great. I love that the owner is always there thanking repeat guests every time we have been in. All my out of town family asks to go here when they visit! They also always have good 20% off coupons and never make you feel bad for using them (like nearby Mexi-Go does!). read more

Fantastic place. Can't believe we didn't know about the restaurant sooner. Excellent sangria, great service. Always busy, expect to wait a bit on the weekends. read more

Great margaritas - very well done! We tried the house frozen and loved it! The sour cream chicken was amazing - just like our last visit! A full big platter though! The fajita omelette was also great from the brunch menu, but the potatoes were very bland. They could have used some seasoning or perhaps could have been tipped. Off with some spicy fresh salsa with jalapeños. Loved the Huevos rancheros too! Saul was our waiter and he was friendly and nice! The same problem as before with the host - they really could use better training in welcoming patrons. Music is way too loud and have a headache! Overall great food, nice place and recommend the food! read more

Pleasantly filled two people with ordering the blanco queso with guacamole and beef, delicious sour cream chicken enchiladas (recommended from yelp) and chickens flautas (also recommended) along with several of the great tasting house and strawberry margaritas. Of course the complimentary chips and homemade salsa and black bean dip! read more

Margaritas and Brisket Quesadillas are 6 stars! Seriously the best brisket quesadillas I've ever had. Everytime! The chips and salsa are 2.5 stars. Overall a friendly staff and never too long of a wait. read more

This place gets a crowd, why, because it's good. Plan to wait for a table, but worth it. Good Tex-mex fare at reasonable prices. Glad it's in my neighborhood. read more

Great experience. Pedro took great care of us even suggesting that we wait to send in our dinner order so that we have time to enjoy our appetizer. Will definitely come back. read more

This is a great family plano spot. Great food, great service and great place to bring groups of 6 or more. The owner is very friendly and the staff is well trained and courteous. Go there you won't be disappointed. read more

I love Salsa's on a regular day. The other day they went above on customer service. I had picked up my order and they forgot an item. They drove it to my house and gave us additional sides and took the item off our bill. That is some incredible customer service that I don't see very often. The black bean dip and margaritas are also amazing!! read more

Loved the salsa!! Ask for the spicy salsa. It was delicious. The food and service was spectacular!! Totally recommended!! Ambience was nice.

Great great service! crisp chips and tasty sauce. Will come back and try difference dishes out. Two thumbs up.

Food excellent. Staff friendly and accommodating. Customizing order was a breeze. When you need your fix of TexMex, this is the place to go. Tacos and enchiladas are always my go to food. Better than ordering from fast food joints. Generous portions await. I also like their carne Adams with the smoky flavor of grilled meat. read more

This is a great place to eat good Mexican food. Service was excellent, and the drinks were really good.

My husband and I have been here twice in a week because it is so good. The black bean dip that they bring out with the chips is to die for. The hot sauce is good and has a bit of spice. I've gotten tacos and the ground beef nachos and they were both really tasty. We have also gotten the two different kinds of queso which are both delicious. This place is cute, delicious and very close to us. Can't beat it! read more

Service was quick. Chips, salsa, and bean dip was out quick. Food was delicious. Get the chicken Verde enchiladas. Won't break your bank.

This restaurant is in a strip mall near my new house. The food was good, and I will probably be back. I doubt it will be a place I will visit often though. I ordered several orders of tacos to go, and I showed up when they said the food would be ready. I ended up waiting for another 12 minutes, which would have been understandable if the place had been busy. read more

Tasty comida in a convenient neighborhood location. Family friendly and roomy enough for parties of 6, 8 or 10.
